“Very polite and fast service from both servers. Manager was actively engaging with guests and taking orders too. Food was delicious. I tried vegetarian antipisti platter for 2 as my starter and a main. The size of the dish was very generous and food was hot and tasty. I would order it again in a future.”

“Went here even after reading the other reviews, just for the idea of novelty value. But, it was actually a really nice place to stay, didn't need to book in advance, and could get a room with my friend for only £16 each. Clean, well looked after, good housekeeping routine, more of a self-service basis, but with the nature of it being a hostel works efficiently. Provided free tee and coffee, had a lounge, living room(TV, DVD's Books), kitchen with dining table, music and gaming room. The rooms have safes or you can keep valuables at the reception, the place felt more like a little community than somewhere that could be hostile, and be at risk of losing your things or health and safety being at risk. I couldn't recommend it more, and would definitely stay here every time I go to Bristol, and will recommend others that they do also.”

“This is one of my favourite places to eat in Stroud. Best noodle soup in town by far. Authentic food, attentive service and chilled atmosphere. Sichuan heat is perfectly balanced in the spicier options. There's also has an impossibly large range of bubble teas (warm or cold). Can't fault this place.”

“My wife and myself had a wonderful wine tasting today with Ben. I emailed Novel Wines before Christmas asking about a Wine Tasting on a Sunday and Ben replied confirming they were closed on Sundays but said he might be able to get someone to conduct the tasting anyway. This was incredibly generous of him and I booked the wine tasting up. We had the tasting today and I have to say it's the best we have ever had. Ben is knowledgeable and personable. There were no awkward moments at all and we got to taste 6 different wines as well as a delicious dessert wine. We ended up buying 4 bottles as they were so good. I would highly recommend Novel Wines if you are in the area and fancy a fun wine tasting.”

“We called ahead to ask if we could still book, despite it only being an hour until they closed. But they accommodated our group of three. The service was impeccable, they were all friendly and polite. The glasses were crystal clear and the beer was ice cold (what more could you want?). The pizza was incredible, definitely authentic Italian pizza, I've eaten pizza all over Italy and this easily ranks among the best of them. Deliciously flavourful, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The atmosphere was nice, the way they have decorated, along with the music really makes you feel like you're abroad. The prices were extremely good as well, my pizza was one of the most expensive on the menu at only £14 (Dominos charge £24 for a pizza of the same size). 10/10 will absolutely be back.”

“Had an excellent dining experience tonight, cannot recommend it highly enough! Friendly staff, excellent food, lovely wine and super service. Although we only had a couple of the pasta dishes, we could have chosen anything off the menu and it would have been succulent I feel. “Staple Hill's best kept secret. No pretentious frills, just great tasting food in a chilled friendly space. All the tapas we tried were incredibly tasty, served fresh and hot. The cod and asparagus was sublime, just cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and attentive, definitely has a family run feel. Highly recommended.”

“Lovely little place on an industrial estate in Bradford on Avon. I had the amber lager and hubby a Stout, really good and made on the premises. Really friendly staff that showed us to a bench alongside the canal. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. It's only a small place but packs plenty of punch.”

“Tiny place. Maybe seats 20 at best. They were setting up a live music night. Won awards for almost a decade. Can see why. Really nice place to stumble on.”

“The staff were busy preparing the venue for opening their tap room at the time of the visit, but the space already looks amazing. Currently, bottles of their mead and beer are available for takeaway from the Meadery/Brewery and via their website. Keep up the great work.”

“Had a lovely couple of Ghibli (we’re Ghibli fans) themed drinks. I had an Arrietty (reminded me of my own garden in summer and the cup and saucer it was served in gave it a dainty feel) and my partner had a No Face cocktail served in a clay pot which caused a really interesting discussion about depth of flavour / character. Service was attentive and very welcoming.”
