The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.”

“This is a review of the events space (marquee). We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary in the marquee at the Swan in Swineford, September 2024. It was a great event and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We had 53 guests for a three course sit down meal with welcome drinks prior to the meal, after which the tables were cleared for dancing and a DJ. We were able to discuss and tailor our menu to suit our guests and we received many compliments on the food, which was very tasty. Our family had early access to decorate the marquee with lights, table decorations and flowers which made the marquee look beautiful and created a lovely atmosphere. We were able to return the next morning to do the take-down, there was no pressure. The only strict requirements were that music had to stop by 11:00 pm (due to neighbours) and aim to have all people off site by 11:30 pm. Lee, the manager, was very approachable. He was happy to discuss our needs and was very flexible with the layout and the menu choice. We were allowed to provide our own drinks and pay corkage as well as making use of the outside pay-bar. Staff were very friendly and seemed invested in the success of the party which made it seem like a joint effort. The marquee itself is 9 meters square and has a good-sized graveled area to the side with benches which are for sole use of the function space. The marquee is set in a large garden with outside bar, children’s play area and a carpark. We would certainly recommend the swan for family and social functions. “Good size room with a nice seating area, small dining area and a good size kitchen with all the commodities you could expect. Bathroom was nicely done out and the toiletries provided were really nice. The location was perfect. Bath is a small city and this was in a great location for the attractions and for bars and restaurants. We found the soundproofing very good and any noise heard was from other residents within the corridors. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others staying in Bath.”

“A fantastic walk up Solsbury Hill, Bath”

“Stayed here for a year when it was brand new, lovely, safe and quiet palce. Have parking space, communal study space with coffee machine, gym. It wasn't cheap but from my experience of moving almost every year, you do get what you paid for. The only comment I had living on the top floor with the balcony, there can be few cleanings to do as birds wonder around and also can be quite hot in summer.”
