“This is a glorious, compact park full of mature trees that is maintained with the help of a band of dedicated volunteers. Perfect for anyone seeking to be inspired and consoled by nature. In the autumn, walk along the path beneath the canopy of century old horse chestnut trees. In the winter, enjoy the light filtering through the trees. In the spring, admire the beauty of the many cherry blossom trees. In the summer, sit in the cool shade of the rose covered arbor. Every season gives its own joy.”

“If I were to recommend a park to visit in Bath, Alexandra Park would be at the top of my list. Not only is it in a fantastic location with plenty of scenic walking trails leading to interesting spots, but it also boasts arguably the most stunning panoramic view of the city. On top of that, you can enjoy delicious coffee and pastries from Choux Box, and there’s plenty of space for dogs to run around. A must-visit!”

    Harington's Hotel

    ★★★★☆ 4.6

“A last minute online search for a hotel resulted in a wonderful but brief stay at Harington's. Beautifully clean room with charming, quirky decor. Extremely comfortable bed with quality bedlinen. Very peaceful at night with no noise from the street. In the morning a delicious breakfast, cooked fresh to order with good coffee. Super service from all staff, especially the lady on reception as I arrived very late in the evening and she sent me two texts with information and to make sure I was on my way. I will definitely return and recommend to others. Only slight downside was the lack of black out blinds as the street lights did come through the curtains.”

“Sandpits is a really good play area for children. There are swings, swing boats, a few slides of various sizes, roundabouts, climbing frames etc. The sandpit is large with a pirate ship and crocodile and other devices. The stream which runs through the area is great fun for floating toy boats down or playing Pooh sticks or paddling in hot weather. There are picnic benches, a table tennis table, goal posts for football at the top end, and plenty of grassy areas and seats. It's protected by railings all around but with easy access to the road outside. A really good children's park for all ages, and very popular, especially during the holidays”

    Palladian Bridge

“The Palladian Bridge in Bath, England, is a stunning example of 18th-century architecture, nestled within the picturesque Prior Park Landscape Garden. Designed by Richard Jones and inspired by the classical designs of Andrea Palladio, this bridge is one of only four of its kind worldwide. Built in the mid-1700s for Ralph Allen, a prominent local entrepreneur, the bridge exemplifies the Palladian style, characterized by symmetry, classical proportions, and grandeur. Great visit today !!!!”

“A beautiful spot to tour and relax in Bath. The entrance is an easy bus ride or an uphill walk. Staff and volunteers are friendly and informative. I went at opening time and had the place mostly to myself for a bit and it never became crowded. The walk around the park is nice and worth doing, but not a must-do. My favorite part was sitting in on the reclining chairs reading and enjoying the view and the birds.”
