“Went here for "Chicken Tuesday" recently and had a lovely meal. Fresh hot food and attentive staff. Worth saying they had the worlds most awkward table of customers near to us and handled the situation very well considering how rude and obnoxious the couples son was. It's a shame there's not a better cider selection or anything on tap but no complaints apart from that. Will definitely visit again ☺️”

“My first ever visit to a TGI Friday and I was rather impressed. The staff were friendly and management came out to assist with a specific dietary concern with my guest. The food was hot and beautiful, we even met Darth Vader in the reception entrance to the restaurant. The dips are fantastic, the burger very juicy and super tasty. A definite 10/10 and look forward to returning. By the time we left the restaurant it was buzzing with nearly all tables full. A very popular restaurant in Cardiff. Many Thanks TGI Fridays even on a Monday night.”

“TGIs is hands down the best bottomless brunch in newport! I absolutely LOVE their June Buy and purple rain. I'm a wheelchair user, and they always accommodate me and take us to a table where I can just wheel up and stay in my chair. The customer's service is also really good, and Isabelle Amelia is so polite to bless her. Happy staff is a credit to the place and the management x”

“Our first experience of dining here ( Sunday lunch) although we have been here to drink and watch the rugby. Our meal was delicious, we couldn't fault it. Beautifully presented and extremely tasty, a cut above most pub Sunday dinners. Infact, best one we've ever had, and we've had a few. The staff were lovely, friendly and full of spark, nothing was too much trouble. We love this place; it's so 'normal' and relaxing and the clientele friendly, chatty and welcoming. We'll be back!! “This may seem a strange occasion for leaving a review, but we had the post-funeral wake for my mum at the Ridgeway recently and they looked after us as well as we could have asked. We booked the cold buffet and this was excellent. A range of well filled sandwiches and rolls (we asked for veg and non-veg), quiches, salad, and some delicious delicacies, and then cakes to follow. It was more than enough for the numbers we ordered, even with many going back for more. The service was excellent. A very busy bar was looked after very efficiently by the staff, who were friendly and helpful through the afternoon and evening. No one wants to plan for a wake, but the team at the Ridgeway looked after us beautifully.”

“Me and my partner visited today (4th of October). We enjoyed so much, girl servicing was so nice, polite and helpful. Food was outstanding!!!! I've had steak which was exactly as I like it, there was no trouble when we asked for my chips to be cooked a bit more, Dave had mix grill, everything was cooked to perfection!!!! Beer was nice too. We will highly recommend this pub to everyone. Thank you very much.”

“Took my Nan for a birthday meal here, which unfortunately had a lot of no shows. The staff were so lovely and kind, they really turned the day around for her and went above and beyond. I'm extremely grateful to all working yesterday. The Sunday lunch was fantastic, I'd come back for the roast potatoes alone. Food was quick to be served and a lovely atmosphere as always. “We hosted my Father-in-Law’s 60th here in the function room and garden and couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. Our contact for the arrangements was Bethany and she was amazing from start to finish; so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. They have clearly worked hard to revamp the pub and they deserve recognition for this. They worked tirelessly the night before our party to ensure everything was perfect and would run smoothly and for that were eternally grateful. Wonderful, wonderful service and would happily use again. If you’re thinking of a party, surprise or otherwise, this venue is brilliant!”
