“Superb care and educated beyond school intake levels for all, especially for SENCo provision. My nephew attended La Petite Academy for 3 years; and since with their help, has come on leaps and bounds. Being an experienced primary teacher I have to certainly recommend. I watched my nephew not only grow academically but also as a confident young boy. Key workers and management were so helpful with the plan given to my brother for support and even as he moved up to primary gave advice and assistance with the transition which I know can often be traumatic.”

“An AMAZING store to get art and crafts at for a cheap price! I love shopping here and there are many things you can buy at a pretty small expense to create almost anything! Although do have some questions about them selling rocks and pinecones where you can get anywhere but that's quite alright haha. Lots of toys and new things aswell. Book aisle is amazing and I've bought many interesting things there! One of my favourite shops that's for sure and staff are nice.”

“We have started to visit regularly with our 17 month old granddaughter. She has an absolutely fantastic time. We visit on weekdays, when older children are at school, and she has plenty of space to play and is with other simular age children. She is on the go the whole time. The staff are lovely. Very welcoming, polite, very informative and nothing seems too much for then. They genuinely seem to want you to have the best experience and for the children to have as much fun as possible. The coffee is very nice and plenty of room in the seating area. Very convenient to have a very clean toilet and baby changing area in the same room. We will continue to visit regularly and to recommend to our friends.”

“We turned up on a Sunday lunch with no booking and it was very busy. However after a 20 minute wait we had a table. Used the app to order drinks and food, and then headed to the carvery. There was a 5 minute queue, but we'll worth it as the food was lovely. The deserts looked amazing, but we were too full to sample them”

“Have always had good service here right from when they opened many years ago. The shop now is a lot quieter than it used to be but still get good friendly service. Also a couple of the older members of staff often provide good advice and product knowledge and are happy to share tips on when certain products may be reduced in price. It'll be sad when this place goes (its rumoured to be moving into Sainsbury's...) So make the most of it in its present form whilst you can...”

“Came across place this place whilst looking for a decent menu for gluten free. And honestly I was not disappointed. From the get go the staff couldn't have been more helpful. First the gluten free menu is one of the best I have seen in a long time, everything from burgers, steaks to chicken, there was starters and even desserts. Once I explained I was both gluten free and dairy free and ordered my food, my starter had some dairy on it the server came to speak to me and altered it to suit my dietary needs. Honestly this is the best place and I will definitely be back.”

“One of the hardest times ive faced as a perent was going back to work for the first time after having my children (Stanley and Margot) they light up my life and in all honesty like many mums I'd rather be with them than at work but needs must. We chose to send (Stanley first) to Whitehouse two years ago after a recommendation from a friend and I now consider them part of our life's. We talk about their staff around our dinner table like friends... They are incredible with the kids and do everything with kindness, joy and fun in mind. They share ideas with me that I can try at home and if I'm struggling with any type of behaviour or sleep issues, they guve me advise and ideas to try and help. Nothing is to much trouble and I'm very lucky to hand by children over to people who care amd have their best interests at heart. I believe in giving children experiences to enrich their life's and offer variety and Whitehouse enhances that every week with my children. A big warm hearted thank you from me x”

“I was so nervous sending my little girl to Nursery but ever since being here she’s made me and her dad so proud and we have all of the girls there to thank for that. My little girl has learnt new songs, count to 20 and her ABCs by the age of 3 years old and it’s all down to this amazing Nursery. They have encouraged her to eat different foods which was a worry to me and always let me no what she has and hasn’t ate when i pick her up which is a good help. The girls are amazing and are very aproachable to me and my daughter! I’d recommend this Nursery to anybody!!!”

The care and attention from the team in every unit from babies up to Pre-School has been first class. “Well if I had to explain this nursery/preschool centre in one word it would be outstanding. However, I have more than one word so to start with the staff here are the best, very well trained in all aspects and show such genuine kindness and care for all the children. My son has been going here for 2 years and yesterday was he last day, and over the 2 years I've only ever had positive experiences. The place itself is a nice hall with lots of activities for the little ones and my son said the food is amazing, thanks to Helen. “Our daughter attended Shardlow Hall day nursery for 2.5 years and I cannot fault the care she has had there. She’s come on so much with her language and social skills, and made some great friendships. There’s so many good points about the nursery, but one thing that stood out for me is the outdoor space. The nursery backs onto farmers fields, so the children can look at the cows and tractor, there’s a fenced grassed back garden for summer, a tarmac all weather playground area, and also a forest school area. There are horses, chickens and ducks nearby. The nursery have visitors coming in to teach Spanish and do dance classes, and groups who bring animals in for the children to meet. If nature and the outdoors are important factors for you when choosing a nursery, I don’t think you can beat Shardlow.”

“Brilliant place for soft play! Took our 13 month old today and she loved it! Its clean and perfect for all ages. Also has a small kitchen to make yourself and drink while little ones play. Definitely coming back and definitely recommend!”
