“I went for a gait analysis today and was very happy with the service. I was served by Mary who is very knowledgeable and gave plenty of good advice on what shoes would be best for me as I’m training for my first half marathon and have not ran further than 10km before. The gait analysis results were explained clearly and I was able to try on a variety of different shoes and felt I could take my time and there was no pressure to buy and I settled on a pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS. I was also given advice on nutrition and how to keep my energy levels up during longer distance runs with energy gels/bars so also got a sample pack of some flapjacks and will return to get some bars or gels during my training and for race day! Running Form is a lovely small business, and it’s clear those working there are knowledgeable about all things running! I’d recommend paying them a visit whether you’re just starting out with running or have completed multiple ultras!”

“Thank you so much Jon and Mitch for helping to sort me and my rabble for my wedding! You were absolutely brilliant and patient with all the blokes and the kids. Every step was smooth, polite, and effortless. The deposit and payment process was explained well and in good time. At one point, I enquired if I could add additional groomsmen at the original quoted rate (over a year ago). I had no expectation that this would be possible, seen as suit rental prices had understandably increased due to the recent year's cost of living increase. But Jon honoured his original prices. I'd call that above and beyond the call of duty and excellent customer service! I was totally chuffed that Jon was able to come to our venue on the morning of our wedding and make sure that our ties and button hole flowers were set properly. Something which I understand you haven't done since covid and wasn't part of my booking, so a nice surprise for me. That was the cherry on the cake. It meant that there was one less thing to have to worry about. Mitch is also a credit Jon Paul. He is polite, attentive and a good conversationalist. Just what you want! Anyone thinking of using Jon Paul Swadlincote, I strongly advise you do! Get them booked!!”

“So set out to find my daughters prom dress not knowing where to start or how it would go thankfully we turned up and was met by Sarah who helped in every way to get us sorted for prom with no time limit or being rushed into picking something that wasn't right. After which Sarah found the perfect dress for my daughter and we left very satisfied would highly recommend”

“Went in with my husband with a coat we bought few months ago which had ripped. We had no receipt, explained the situation. Was very impressed and happy with the service we received from staff especially manager Chloe who did an exchange for us straight away. Very impressed with the efforts put in by her to make sure we were well looked after throughout our shopping trip at the store. If only other shops trained their staff the same.”

“Dropped into “Threadz” today. Going to a party with a Glastonbury/festivals dress code and had no idea what to wear- but definitely wouldn’t have anything suitable in my current wardrobe..! Danny (the shop owner) was amazing. He obviously understood the brief!! And found me some great items including a very ‘loud’ shirt to go over and band’s t-shirt. It’s a real treasure trove of cool clothes and gear. Definitely drop in if you’re in Derby. Worth adding that Sadler Gate is a nice street to wander along too.”

“I was struggling to find a dress suitable for a river cruise later this year so thought I’d call in. I’ve made copious online purchases only to return them all. I was made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble with the wonderful sales assistant suggesting alternative options. The changing room meant I could take my mum in and she had a comfortable space and seat to offer a second opinion too. The dress I decided on was in the sale, in fact it was a real bargain which then meant I could add extra accessories on too, of which they have many (sandals, shoes, bags, jewellery, fascinators, all sorts), all are lovely in their own right. They have lots of lovely dresses, skirts, shrugs, boleros etc even sparkly jeans, so many lovely things. Many items are reasonably priced, given quality and detail, and I was also informed that there is usually a sale rail. If you have a wedding, party, occasion or just want to find something lovely to add to your wardrobe I really would urge you to give them a try. Thank you so much for all your help today xx”

“Always loved this brand and have various items but decided it was time I had a suit. I visited the store and was greeted by Lee.. there was no pressure just a friendly hello and an offer of help if I needed it. He answered my questions precisely and honestly. I didn't feel pressured at any point and was left to deliberate when needed. I could of spent ages trying different things with an offer of a drink, but I knew what I wanted and Lee helped me make it a reality. I will definitely be returning for another suit from him.”

“Who doesn't love a pair of Converse? While this ain't the biggest store on the planet it does pack a lot in and while it might not have brand new designs in it does have a lot of stuff I've not really seen elsewhere. Staff are absolutely spot on and the prices are fantastic on some of the shoes. (20 quid for a pair of Converse - I'll have that). Be careful with the sizes on the boxes though, look for the UK size - it's written a little smaller under the other sizes.”
