“What a great little local shoe shop. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough, my 2 year old got himself worked up about getting his new shoes at other appointments. Kerrie the owner was great she send a video to introduce herself, photos of the shop etc so I could prepare him before we got there. At our appointment it was relaxed and Kerrie was so lovely getting the new shoes was not a problem. The shoes themselves are beautiful and very high quality.”

I’ve shopped in boutiques and luxury retailers all over the world — and Maja’s professionalism, warmth, and expertise were on par with, if not beyond, what you’d expect at the highest level. She demonstrated exceptional product knowledge, never pushy, always patient, and had a genuine desire to help me find the perfect pieces. She went out of her way to try and source a size for me before I leave the country. What truly impressed me was her leadership. Despite a busy shop and some tricky customer situations, Maja remained calm, organised, and in complete control. I spent quite some time there and observed how respectfully and effectively she managed both customers and staff. “Went in with my groomsmen and my dad for some shirts for my wedding and we were sized up and assisted by David. He was brilliant really helpful and down to earth, there was no hassle getting or sizes and fit we liked and when my shirt arrived it fitted perfectly. We all got a great price on each shirt too. “Visited this shop on 28.05.2024 during our trip to Scotland. Within the shop there are two areas: where you can buy already available goods and studio-fitting room where you can without rush agree on your custom order. The customer service was amazing, and especially big thanks to Lisa(if I recall correctly), who worked that day there and who is such a passionate young lady. She patiently waited while I was choosing among 500+ different tartans (that was not an easy choice, lol), took all my measurements and politely answered all the questions to ensure, that my custom-tailored order will 100% match my needs (I wanted bow tie fully match the skirt, with green and white colors visible, so she promised the tailor could do it and it was delivered just as promised). Overall, as a person who interested in traditional clothing but in my own country, I was pleased to talk to someone who shares the enthusiasm about traditional clothing. The order was prepared and delivered to my country in ~1.5months, which is not a short period, although it is totally justified in my opinion. I paid ~380£ for items and delivery alltogether upon the time of my visit, which I believe to be a fair price. (For some reason the colors of this Fraser Modern tartan do not show correctly on my phone camera, the correct colors are only on a closeup picture) Thanks a lot, I'm very much satisfied!”

“I bought a pair of runners at this store, got to my hotel in Edinburgh and found I’d left them in store (I thought at least!) I rang the store just before closing and a lovely staff member called Tracy answered. She was over the top helpful and wanted the situation solved. It was just before closing when most would just give up and go home. Tracy went beyond good service and took my details to check in the morning how we could solve the issue further. I went and checked the car again and pulled out all the luggage…and there they were! Great appreciation and thanks to Tracy! I’ve bought a few pairs of shoes here and will be back again!”

“I came in on Saturday 18 February with my Mum who is in her 70s and still thinks she is a M&S size 14 (she’s probably a size 10). The lady who served us was absolutely gorgeous, Mum tried on a couple of jumpers, there was one clear winner but she’d chosen a medium to try on which drowned her, we swapped her to the small but even that was too big, we had to persuade her to try XS which was perfect. The staff member was just so lovely, helpful and kind. Big advert for shop independent. Thank you.”
