βLove the group Social event. Our Beagle had a fab team socialising with lots of dogs, playing chase over the obstacles, around the green space. We'll run and great valueβ
βBeautiful park, great for kids and adults, bring some nuts as the resident squirrels eat them right out of your hand, The parking is free, disabled parking is next to the bandstand, drive through the first parking lot and follow the road through, You could also park in the main street and get access to the front entry of the park, just be mindful of any parking fees or time limits, it is easier to park in the parks, parking lot, There is an old church with an old cemetery, look up to the big square tower of the church and see king Bruce, carved at the top, im not entirely sure but there is a connection to robert the Bruce, from the cemetery the views are absolutely stunning u can see the 3 bridges over the firth of forth Next to this church is the ruins of dunfermline abbey its stunning i prefer ruins, it is free to visit both the church and abbey but for the Abbey they said u had to go online and book your ticket and show the arcade to the staff member You don't need to go into the Abbey grounds to appreciate it, u can look down on it from the cemetery, dogs are allowed into the Abbey but not the church, it is worth going into the church its beautiful beyond words inside A wander around to the glasshouse its full of exotic plants from around the world there is also formal gardens right next to the glasshouse, a bit further up the path heading towards the peacock cafe is a sunken Japanese garden it sadly is a bit over grown and the pagoda thing is falling to bits, its still worth going down there though, Near the cafe, which seemed popular on the day I visited, you will find the peacocks wandering around freely, so its best to keep your dog on a lead in this area, from the cafe its only a short walk back to your car, Overall this park is a must visit especially if you are a history enthusiast, all around the park is hidden remnants of historical buildings My only problem with this park is the chronic lack of signs telling you where to find certain areas, so its just a matter of wandering around until you stumble along something historical There are some pretty steep hills and steep paths made of rocks, but most of the main paths are in good condition but not really suitable for someone in a wheelchair There is an old train engine that kids can climb on, as well as a few large kids play parks There is loads of benches or grassy bits to stop and have a picnic, just keep an eye out for rogue squirrels they really aren't afraid of humans The park is big, around 75 acres if I remember but u can do a short or long walk depending on your fitness Stepping into this park feels like u have stepped back in time, u can feel and imagine how it was like back then, take your time and enjoy the atmosphere of this park xxβ
βOne of my favourite gardens in Edinburgh, itβs enjoyable to walk around or inside the park. The garden has a collection of different kind of flowers, either wild flowers and blossoms planted by gardeners from spring to summer. The garden is not huge but enough size to be awesome. Apart of that, the park has a coffee shop, playground area for kids, area for skaters and bikes, basketball and football fields and beautiful interior gardens with fish tank included. Everything in one place, what else you can ask for.β
βIβve taken 3 kickstarter sessions with Josie and have found them very useful and enjoyable. Josie is extremely knowledgeable and made me feel at ease with trying new things in the gym and talking through good goals to work towards. In particular she was great at spotting where my technique needed work and explaining how to change it in an easy to understand way.β
βLovely park, with plenty of space to walk your dog. Will definitely go back. The only sad thing is that still some people throw their rubbish in the park; that's quite disrespectfulβ
βThe Owner was friendly and the Lady who was looking after the caravan park whilst I stayed was very friendly and helpful. (Itβs terrible but after two and a bit months Iβve forgotten her name). The shower and toilet block were very new looking and clean. The kitchen was well set-up and modern also. The wifi was great in the kitchen.β
βFantastic park. When you're traipsing around the city all day looking at monuments and have a tired little person, they just want to play! This park is the perfect relaxing spot. Tables, green space, ample equipment, toilets. Ticks all the boxes.β
βEasy to get to from the West. Great pies on sale, staff and members are extremely friendly and helpful. Nice wee place to watch your football.β
βA lovely play park to keep most ages entertained. It has an accessible swing, although this does require the user to be able to be lifted into the swing, with optional chest plate for security. The additional advantage being a Scottish water tap at the entrance.β
βSmall nice park. Playground for children. Large trees for shadow.β
βThis place is brilliant. Lots of parking spaces. The toilet is closed now. The Loch is beautiful to walk round lots of ducks & swans to feed. It can be easilu walked round in 20mins with a slow dog. There are also woody walks you can do as lots of foresty areas. The Playpark is just around the corner and it's a good one! Lots for all kids ages to do definately reccommend here.β
βThis is the second time I have stayed here. This visit however, was nicer. I was met with very friendly staff as always upon checking in. We were then told that we had been selected for a free upgrade to a suite and was given free parking as well as a welcome drink each and some lovely shortbread for our room. This was such a lovely surprise and made our trip even more special. The hotel is always lovely and clean, not to mention very handy for the tram. I will most definitely come back here. The staff are an asset to the place. You are made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. Highly recommend this hotel.β
βThe staff was superb helping us out, gave great recommendations. Short walk to the bust stop making it easy to get to downtown Edinburgh. We have camped all over the United States and now have 10 days in Scotland under our belt. This facility has the best and cleanest bathrooms/showers anywhere.β
βWent for the first time today for the driving range, really enjoyed my time and all staff were so lovely! I arrived with nothing, Iβve never played golf and I donβt own a set of clubs. They provided me with everything I needed and all the information. Great place to go and lovely scenery with easy access.β
βGreat place for young males and females to play/be coached in football. Good floodlighting and artificial surfaces. Only major difficulty is very restricted off road parking. All in all a great amenity for youngsters interested in football.β
βbest walking place, All the dogs you meet on this trail appear really friendlyβ
βReally helpful staff and beautiful facilities.β
Situated on Elphinstone Road in Tranent, this service station is a cornerstone of the East Lothian automotive community. Expert technicians handle complex diagnostics to identify steering, engine, and electrical faults quickly. βTook my BMW in for an intermittent issue with the Power steering several times. The garage took an approximate 10 hours of work time to look into the issue for me and unfortunately couldn't locate the issue. At the end of it, they only charged me for 2 hours labour which was very generous considering the amount of time they spent on my car! They also adjusted my handbrake (which was needed) without asking me or charging me. Very pleasant experience and will definitely be going back for my car needs.β
βI have just finished Invisalign with Elaine. The service was second to none. Elaine, and all the staff at the practice were welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough to make me feel comfortable. The results are great and the process was extremely simple. I also had quotes from two other practices in Dunfermline and Comely Park were the best value for money. I have moved to Comely Park as my usual dentist now as I was so impressed with the service. Would definitely recommend.β
βSite staff are friendly and very welcoming, the site is clean, shower and toilet facilities are immaculate. The site was packed but there was still a relaxed friendly atmosphere about the site. We will visit again on our next excursion north and would recommend this site. To the staffβ¦β¦great work guys itβs nice to see people that understand the value of customer service.β
βIt's a great place to chill. In the center you can find a pond full of life. You can even feed the wildlife if you have bird food with you. There's a good area to enjoy the sun (when there's sun) with your friends or family. It's nearby the Meadowbank so you can always grab a coffee and take a walk around the park.β
βVery nice place with a bit of everything, mainly orientated for play and leasure. I spent a good time in family or by myself in the gym. Birthday party for kids are very usual as well. It is clean and has secure car parking although I found the spaces quite narrow and it can get very busy.β
βWe loved staying here, we got everything we needed. The reception staff were absolutely splendid to deal with, particularly after being aware we had just got off a flight from Australia. The rooms were clean and pleasant. The location is a convenient 15-20min walk to the city centre. Any buses or trains we needed were available from the very close Haymarket Station. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Edinburgh. Thank you!β
βIt's a good place for family fun. You have all you need.β
βGreat swimming experience. Clean and Covid-safe changing environment, well managed. Nice water temperature and pool depth. Good range of lane speeds, would recommend now that we can use pools again!β
βWe enjoyed a terrific break over Christmas. Caravan was immaculate and in a lovely quiet spot. The park itself looked suitably festive and the staff were thoughtful and helpful, even visiting the van to check we had enough kitchen utensils for Xmas day. Can't wait to come back. Thank you for the brilliant customer service, folks!β
βOne of the few places you can let small children run about through trees in complete safetyβ
