βWe are still not out of the woods but wanted to reassure anyone who has to take their beloved pet here as an emergency that these people will do everything they can. My cat Winston was feeling poorly and not eating too well. After taking him to my normal vet (Dundas Veterinary Group: never again) they told me his creatinine value was 1200 which is not good. 24 hours of fluids and no pain management, only trying to get him some gabapentin via food which he wasnβt eating and his condition was not improving and second blood panel showed 2300 creatinine. I didnβt want to give up especially since no imaging had been done so we received a priority referral to the small animal hospital and the treatment and bedside manner has been night and day. Winston was put on antibiotics, fluids and imaging was done among other things. These things take time and as of this morning his kidney values are back to normal ! Even if things do not end the way we want, I am so comforted by the fact that my cat is getting the absolute best care. Thank you to Joel and Esther and the team for taking such good care your patients and their owners.β
βWeβve been doing the weekend outdoor classes with our 5 year old. Chris is a brilliant coach: friendly, inclusive, adaptive to all levels (me = extreme beginner and scaredy-cat and yetβ¦ I love it). Our kid is loving lessons, itβs helping him gain confidence and resilience, and most importantly heβs having fun doing it :)β
βI drive a Volvo and on a recent trip back from London I needed a repair to my Heat Shield to complete my journey home. I was advised by this very reputable Volvo Garage in Stoke that they had given My car a temporary repair, enough to get home and charged me not a small amount. They recommended a new Heat Shield needs fitting. I have just picked it up from Bradburys who are my local Garage expecting a monster bill because I am advised Volvo parts do not come cheap. I was indeed floored but it was how cheap the bill was. I was advised that my car did not need a brand new Heat shield as there was plenty of life in the old one. It just needed to be fitted better with new fixings as indeed the old ones were "goosed". Such honesty is a rare thing to encounter. But a blessing at this time of the month when funds are needed and for me needs applauded. Ecause of my experience, Bradbury Motors Ltd certainly gets a thumbs up from me. Holcroft Volvo in Stoke on Trent however certainly do not.β

βNice open space- lots of students hanging out enjoying the sun, playing guitars or sports. Some wrought iron benches along the paths. Loads of daffodils in early April and cherry blossoms come out around mid-April.β

βThis is a must see in Edinburgh - simply the best thing Iβve visited in years. Β£21 entry is hugely impressive value for a moment in history . We spent over 2 hours on the self guided tour which was excellent. Visiting the on board cafe too was really great. The employees there are a credit to the whole atmosphere and were so friendly. Lots of interest for everyone including kids with hoot stops on board with bits of uniform etcβ
βClean and quiet and fun We went with our 3 children all under 10. The wigwams themselves were clean and comfortable. They look out onto a hay field. There are animals on the farm, but you can choose to interact with them or not. Once my 3 year old discovered there were sheep she could be face to face with, that was it. The owners are all extremely patient, friendly and knowledgeable. If you have any questions about places to go and things to do, they can help you out. The kitchen has almost everything you could need for cooking. There is an indoor entertainment room with games, a TV and table tennis. There is an outside playground. And the toilets and showers are all very clean. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay outside of the city.β
βI have had three different treatments at Dr Victoria Skin Clinic, all of which have been fantastic. I was made to feel incredibly comfortable on each occasion and was put at ease by the skill and knowledge of those providing my treatment. The level of service is exceptionally high. I wouldn't even consider another option that isn't Dr Victoria Skin Clinic. I most recently saw Dr Joanna who I could not recommend highly enough.β
βVery friendly and helpful. Good knowledge of area and places to go. Facilities were excellent, level ground to park on. We were very pleased and will book the site again and let friends and family how good the place is.β
βAll the staff at Vets4pets have been amazing over the last couple of days, from reception to nursing staff and both vets. I felt so reassured that my dog was in good hands as staff were so clear about the procedure, follow up and patient at answering all my questions. They were brilliant with my dog, so gentle and caring and they made me feel so relaxed during a stressful time. They all appeared to have great knowledge of veterinary care and every member of staff was aware of my dogs situation and were so caring while we were in the practice. The vet was able to see us immediately when I had concerns following my dogs procedure and additionally, the out of hours vets service were fantastic at answering questions and being available for support. The vet was also able to give helpful advice around claiming on my pet insurance.β
βUnlike Charlotte Sq at the other end of George St this is very definitely open to the public and as a result feels like a vital piece of greenery in the city centre , its always busy with visitors , shoppers and office workers enjoying the open spaces and /or a coffee from the small costa shackβ
βWe truly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Mile. It's right in the center of the action so be prepared for lots of people everywhere. βWe enjoyed a wonderful tea in the bistro today following my mother's funeral. We received so many comments on the generosity of portions and lovely fresh food on offer from everyone who attended the tea. The food was delicious and obviously lovingly prepared and the serving staff were very attentive and very friendly. Well done to all!!!β
βIt may seem like a cold place, but the services, rooms, and cuisine make it wonderful. Unfortunately the town has no interesting sites to offer, but the hotel is absolutely excellent. The cuisine is also spectacular: top-notch!β
βEye test was quick and really detailed, i loved being able to see the x-ray and the optician was really great in talking me through the whole process. The team who helped me pick my glasses were lovely and everything was organised really well.β
βWe stopped off on the way to Dunbar. A very pretty harbour leading to a lovely soft sandy beach. Great for dogs and children alike. A nice walk along and safe for our dogs to run for a little. We only saw a take away van on the beach itself for food and ice-cream. Would visit again.β
βPerfect customer experience. Polite, respectful. Fixed in double quick time. Got my machine back functioning fully. Surprising low price for the city. I've already recommended to family and friends. Refreshing to find someone not out to rip you off or let you down. Would absolutely recommend and will use in future.β

βJo is an amazing dog walker and our dog absolutely loves her. She is so professional but mostly she loves dogs and cares for ours as if he were her own, you canβt ask for more than that. She keeps in great contact with us and we get regular updates about how our dog is doing with videos and photos. She has known our dog since he was a tiny puppy, did puppy visits when he was still small and now takes him on exhilarating joint walks with other dogs and he is getting amazing socialisation. We trust her 100% with our dog. I would not hesitate to recommend Jo, she is brilliant.β
βBryan and his team have been doing puppy visits for our golden retriever Banjo since he was just 11 weeks old whilst we are at work. So far they have been absolutely brilliant and Banjo seems very happy and comfortable with everyone. They all take great care of him, provide us with lots of photo updates and even go the extra mile by adhering to our weird and wonderful requests like putting scrambled eggs in his kibble! My partner and I have complete peace of mind whilst we are at work and we know our puppy is in great hands. I would definitely recommend We Love Pets Livingston to others and will continue to use them as Banjo grows up and can join the other big dogs on walks!β
βWe had the pleasure of having Kimberley as our dog chaperone for our wedding, and she was absolutely amazing with our dog, Venus. Kimberley has an incredible ability to communicate with dogs, keeping Venus calm and engaged during the photos, and helping her confidently walk down the aisle all on her ownβa truly unforgettable moment. She was patient, gentle, and professional throughout, and even took care of transporting Venus straight after our photos with her. Everything went perfectly, and Kimberleyβs trustworthiness and skills are second to none. We would highly recommend her services to anyone!β
