“The tour was absolutely lovely. We got to see amazing hidden gems around Scotland. Took the two day trip from Glasgow to Inverness to Edinburgh. Ample time was given to every spot. Our Tour guide and driver Mark (The Australian one, very important) was exceptionally friendly, full of knowledge to impart about everything we saw from the Sites to the geography of Scotland and really kept the entire tour jovial and exciting. The food was excellent as was the wine. Maybe the plates could have been a wee bit warmer but the food was delicious. Definitely will go back.”

“Excellent tap room which serves food. There is also a beer shop on site which also sells merchandise. Seating inside and out and very quick service on the food. Plenty of parking available. You can book a table if busy but note this is only for 3 hours. We did not book and we were fine even though plenty of people in.”

“Gorgeous area with an amazing view of the castle in the background. You can walk this whole trail which runs parallel to the main road right by the Scott monument. Definitely could take your time and enjoy this area! Lots of people doing photoshoots as this was a great place to take pictures. At sunset the castle is completely illuminated and teal of the fountain really pops. Would definitely suggest to stop by when in Edinburgh!”

“It was a pleasure to have walked the length of the nature reserve. I went there right after dropping my wee ones at school on a Thursday morning. Most people were nice and exchanged brief hellos. Several people were out with their dogs, I saw a family having a birthday hangout with their kids, a couple of runners and cyclists, and some squirrels. Very large and indeed well reserved.”

“I think it was a brilliant experience. While it is like a zoo, the aim of the centre is to give the owls a chance to recover their population and provide a safe haven. The enclosures are well looked after and the owls are so pretty. It's nothing like an owl cafe.”

“Our stay at Ceilidh-Donia was wonderful! The staff were very kind and helpful, always ready to give advice and with a smile. Breakfast was delicious and varied, and the room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The area is quiet and pleasant, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. There is a very good bus connection to the Royal Mile (about 15 minutes), and if you prefer walking, it’s around 30–40 minutes on foot. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a stay in Edinburgh!”
