“My daughter absolutely loved her lessons here. She came on very quickly and gained huge confidence in the pool. Thank you so much Lorraine and Zoe for your amazing teaching. Tara”
“The instructors couldn't be more helpful. Their patience allowed my confidence to grow and I am so happy to be part of the club. Special appreciation to jack”
“Took one swim lesson and I would go back. Great instructor.”
“A lovely team of people, all very friendly. We had a swim club there through the school holiday and the swim coaches where really nice people. Good changing area and place to watch the lessons happen.”
“Daughter loves her class here. Teachers are all great. Any & all questions I have as a parent dealt with immediately.”
“Very good swim club with Masters swimmers included.”
“Anna is one of the warmest, most baby friendly people I’ve met. The lessons are to a very high standard and totally baby centred. Get in fast if you want a space because they go quick! Massive recommend from me and my little ones.”
“THIS IS NIT EDINBURGH LEISURE. IT'S NUFFIELD HEALTH CENTRE.”
“I joined the Joint Pain programme 6 months ago and found it very beneficial. All staff were extremely helpful. The class leader was very patient and pleasant, the physiotherapist was excellent and I appreciated the fact that he accompanied me to the gym, giving reassurance that I was doing things that would not be harmful. I found the cafe very convenient and reasonably priced. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere with Freddie and all those on duty made the whole exercise experience a pleasure and one to be continued.”
“Been a member for many years and can’t fault Nuffield Fountain Park. Excellent facilities and really friendly staff. Decent size pool, well equipped gym and regular classes. The health club is run very efficiently by management who are always responsive to any concerns / issues. Very relaxed atmosphere and always look forward to my visit. Big shout out to Manya and Leandro for your excellent customer service, friendliness and warm welcomes every time I visit. The freshly squeezed orange juice from the cafe is amazing. Keep up the good work all and well done.”
“Excellent park. Well kept, clean & tidy! Swings, slides, flying fox etc for the children (Inc bucket swing for extra security) large green area, friendly dogs welcome to run but lifting number 2's essential! Solid path all the way around, perfect for kids biking or a morning run! Car park at gate, free some months of the year, otherwise there is a parking charge. Look out for the beautiful birds kept on premises! :)”
“I attended a party here where the rugby club has a room for members, with a bar and a music playlist was set up and a buffet. This was the rugby clubs premises however, when know members of the club, you're able to use the facilities such as the bar . It was spacious, a good size space in the centre of the room for dancing. Sufficient seating around the edge if the room. Tables too of course. Not oversized, its hard to say how many people the room holds, there were quite a few kids at the party too. I'd say there probably 40-50 people? Some people stayed for different lengths of time so that's really a guess. The ladies toilet was outstanding. It was extremely clean. An excellent hand drier, great lighting (considering your coming from a much darker room) also the decor was nice. Subtle accessories such as the orchid plant can make events more pleasant and less stressful. I think for many, as its in South Queensferry, there were allocated driver's so take into consideration if arranging events here and using the bar, how far people are travelling and times of public transport or pricing a taxi.”
“Great tennis facilities and clay courts in a picturesque setting. The only downside was the lack of catering. There is an excellent chinese restaurant nearby- the Imperial Palace, and the Waitrose in Morningside is excellent and has a Sushi Day counter”
“Fantastic indoor climbing and great gym. Staff super friendly. I will definitely go back in my next visit to Edinburgh!”
“I go there all the time all the staff are absolutely brilliant and really helpful the machines are practically always working it only once in a blue moon that they are out of order over all 10/10 for everything keep up the good work”
“Lovely staff, nice cafe next door”
“Don't go to Juvenate Health & Leisure as much as I would like to, the gym, pool, sauna and steam room are more than adequate. The staff and members are always friendly.”
“Great place to swim and workout while visiting Edinburgh if you’re staying close enough - it’s walkable from my place in Stockbridge, but there’s also plenty of parking. They are offering a great summer price special. Matthew at the front was super helpful getting me signed up and oriented. All of the staff have been very friendly. The gym is well equipped, very clean, and not too busy during the day. Plenty of lane space in the pool for laps. The water is too warm for a serious swim workout, but this is usually the case for multipurpose aquatic facilities.”
“I had a couple of 121 sessions with Lisa before joining group class. She is very patient with me and broke the stroke down into easy to understand stages. She followed up with a summary of the lesson and tips for practicing on my own. I went from 'mum breaststroke' to a much more efficient breaststroke in a couple of weeks. Not yet perfect but getting there.”
“I’ve had my 2 kids with Aquatic for a few years and they were excellent!! Teachers are brilliant!! Both my kids a super confident swimmers now and I highly recommend 100%”
“I have used Fur and Feathers many times to look after my chickens when on holiday. The service is excellent and Kevin is always helpful and full of useful advice.”
“Good gym go there to get a good glute pump it’s class”
“A very pleasant gym. The machines are kept very clean and the staff is very nice. Even though it's not a big gym, it has everything you need. Also in a fantastic location!”
“This place is an oasis of calm even when the rest of the city is busy! It's a members only club, and there is sometimes a wait for membership - I had to wait about 6 months, but it was worth it. The pool is often very quiet, with only one or two other people in it - I've had it to myself occasionally! There is a steam room, sauna, and hot pool by the pool, as well as a fully kitted out gym upstairs. The staff are friendly, as are the other members. One of the unique features of this place is that when you join, you get a small locker where you can keep your swimwear. Tag your swimwear with your locker number and you can actually chuck it into the laundry baskets with the towels and the staff will wash and dry it for you overnight, and leave it back in your locker. This means that I can go straight from work, for example, to the club without having to go home to pick up my swimwear. Very convenient!”
