“I have been using Lasswade centre regularly for a few years now and I really enjoy it. The reception staff are lovely. Michelle’s aqua classes, step classes and weights classes are amazing. After years of failing at several exercises I’ve come to realise it’s not the class, it’s the instructor that makes all the difference and Michelle is amazing. She is encouraging, real and motivating, knowing the perfect balance when to give a gentle push to do better and giving praise when you get it right. Her sense of humour and her energy never fails to make us all smile. She provides a relaxed, fun and safe environment to work out in and makes us all feel included and part of her team. There is always good banter that even some lifeguards and members of the public can’t help but join in as they pass. Her classes are fun and extremely rewarding. As a bonus the gym is getting an upgrade this winter which is great!”
“Fantastic yoga classes, good parking available.”
“Very friendly staff and centre was very clean. £4.30 for a lovely shower. Would recommend for car campers.”
“Only used the Swimming Pool which is 25m long and has a very deep deep end (3metres?) So deep it is used by the local sub aqua club for training. Pool was busy but not so busy that I couldn't swim lengths. Changing facilities were as expected and staff friendly and helpful. Has a large car park with ample spaces. Other facilities include a bar and outdoor astroturf 5 a side pitches. The centre is large so will have other facilities I am not aware of as I am not local to Bo'Ness. Rumours that the council want to close the centre to save money. Hope it can be kept open as it seems a well used public facility with plenty to do.”
“Carnegie Leisure Centre is an absolute gem for the Dunfermline community. Whether you're into swimming, fitness, or family activities, this place has something for everyone. The swimming pool facilities are top-notch — especially the main pool and the brilliant leisure pool with a flume and wave machine. It’s perfect for both serious swimmers and kids who just want to have fun. The poolside is clean, well-maintained, and well-supervised by friendly staff. The gym area is modern and well-equipped, with a good range of cardio machines, resistance equipment, and free weights. It's spacious and rarely feels overcrowded, even during peak hours. The fitness classes are varied and professionally run — from yoga and spin to body pump and aqua aerobics. Changing facilities are clean and secure, and the café area is a nice bonus — great for a post-workout coffee or snack. What really stands out is the staff: always helpful, welcoming, and professional. They create a very inclusive and relaxed environment for everyone, from beginners to regulars. If you’re in Dunfermline or nearby, Carnegie Leisure Centre is definitely worth a visit. Great value, excellent facilities, and a real community feel.”
“Need a coffee stand on the hockey morning.”
“Handy motorhome aire, bays only sized for small commercial vans, Get in early if you want a good spot. £5 honesty box at far end, I doubt many donate.”
“Great gym. Ban the use of mobile phones in gym. People do one set then go on their phone for 5 mins before thry do another. They are wasting their time training and are ignorant to others waiting for machines”
“Great centre, staff are friendly and helpful. Need more aqua fit classes”

“Both my 3 year old and 1 year old love swim class here. Such a fun way to learn for them and grow confidence in the water. My 2 haven't been scared at all and I think its because it's made so fun. Both started at 1 year old too!”
