“We booked a special birthday meal last Sunday afternoon for a party of 8 adults & 5 children. We were made very welcome by all the staff. Cava has a lovely atmosphere, good background music ( not too loud ) and delicious food. We picked Cava as it serves vegetarian & gluten free food. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and a special thank you to our young waiter who was very patient and we never felt rushed.”

“Popped into Meze Meze the other night and honestly, what a cracking wee spot. We ordered the koobideh, and it was absolutely brilliant — juicy, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly. Portions were spot-on too, no skimping. The whole place has a warm, cosy vibe, and the staff were genuinely lovely. They checked in without hovering and made the whole experience feel relaxed. You can tell they care about what they’re serving. For the price, the quality was way better than expected. Left the restaurant happy, full, and already thinking about what to try next time. If you’re into Persian or Mediterranean food, this place is definitely worth a visit. Would 100% go back.”

“Mairead and Abbie are absolute stars — genuinely brilliant every time. You’re greeted with big smiles, proper service, and that friendly buzz that makes you feel right at home. Drinks come quick, food’s always spot on, and they somehow manage to keep the place running like clockwork even when it’s heaving. Only gripe? The early closing time. Just when you’re settling in for a proper evening, it’s time to pack up. Bit of a shame really, because with staff like that, you could happily stay all night. Still, credit where it’s due — great team, great vibe, and two of the best behind the bar. John legend in the kitchen.”

“My colleague and I stopped to get some food here before our flight. I ordered the half chicken with the habernaro sauce (very hot) and my colleague had the fish and chips. We were served by Abbie who was very gracious and attentive. She made sure our meals came out quickly, checked whether the spice level was okay for me, and had a warm, positive attitude that really stood out.”

“I dropped in to Mirage this evening with the Mrs for a pint and a few starters. The place wasn't busy at all, which is a shame as the food was very tasty and keenly priced. They pour a good pint as well. Staff were really friendly and stopped to chat to us which was nice. I really hope business picks up as this is a wee gem of a restaurant. Will be back.”

“Good wee pub great atmosphere especially on a Friday disco karioke and then a live bands every Saturday and it has its own nightclub above so can drink till 2am. So all round great venue”

“This lovely, friendly, querky place is well worth a visit. Great food, great decor and the best bit is it's dog friendly. No more sitting outside in the cold - you and your dog can book a table in the Orangery (up to 7pm). The staff made a proper fuss of Alan and gave him his own bowl of water.”

“Always a lovely cheery person at the counter when you go in. Food is amazing especially their curry dishes & delivery is quick too! My family love the battered chicken breast with satay sauce & fine noodles as well as the chicken & cheese rolls when they visit. Been using this place for years & will definitely continue to do so. Best Chinese food in the area by far!!”
