“Took my partner for a birthday spa break package. We absolutely loved it. It was more than what we expected. The spa facility was amazing, especially the treatments. The food was perfectly portioned and incredibly delicious. The service/Staff were super professional, I made a couple of special requests and without any questions, they make things happen. “This was a great little find for us. The food was lovely, well presented and decent portions. It is nice and clean and a car park to rear, there was also on road parking to rear. This is a dog friendly pub/restaurant with a great selection of food available. It is all on one level, so disable friendly, it is also dog friendly too, with indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff were very polite and knowledgeable about what food and they served. Would definitely be going here again before we leave to come home and recommend it to anyone passing or staying in the area”

“My sister and I went the Duke of Cumberland 02/12/25 for christmas lunch which we thoroughly enjoyed. The service and food was excellent the staff were very polite courteous and so helpful nothing was to much for them. “We were staying in a local air B&B and came across this pub whilst we were out having a few drinks. This particular evening, the staff were having a pirate night and they were all dressed up as pirates! Everyone was really welcoming and friendly By the end of the night, we felt like a local”

“We did not book and just walked in having been turned away from a Thai restaurant in Scarborough who would only accept cash payment. I had heard good reviews for this establishment and so it was an ideal time to give it a go and we were not disappointed . The food was tasty and the meat used in the dishes was very tender especially the beef. We chose the banquet meal for two and the sharing starter platter was excellent and was a meal in itself followed by 3 main courses with rice and noodles! We finished the chicken and beef dishes but had to leave some of the very plentiful duck dish. There is just the one chef so I would imagine when it's very busy one would have to wait a while but it's well worth the wait. We did not need a breakfast the next morning and we both felt very well afterwards possibly due to the fresh ingredients and the plentiful supply of ginger in some of the dishes. We had the privilege of meeting and speaking to the female chef/owner afterwards and she was very nice and she is very hard working. We will return in the not too distant future.”

“Visited a few times before for informal work meetings. Tonight I took my family after winning a competition. All our food was hot and tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed. We had surf and turf, 2 mixed grills and a southern fried chicken burger. Can't fault anything. Lovely atmosphere in the pub. Service at the bar was quick and all staff were great.”

“Had a lovely visit. Ordered lunch, Drinks & the Dubai chocolate Ganache for my daughter. Staff were really lovely & smiley. Food came out pretty quickly & was all hot and fresh. The ganache was in my daughter’s words the best thing she’s eaten. She gave it 10/10. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely return”

“Found this cafe after walking our dogs near by and googling 'dog friendly cafes near me'. Plenty of parking and an outside space which was great as although the whole cafe is dog friendly, our doberman can be a clumsy oaf if he gets excited so we try and minimise this if we can. We had coffee and cheesecake which was delicious. Thank you!”

When a book isn't out Stacey and another lovely blonde female who is a joyful to see always helps out specially for the latest new kids books. Both always polite and pleasant to see.
