Unable to drive, due to the injury, I got a taxi, which arrived much later than they promised, but still the receptionist said I'd still be seen. I made a point of thanking all the receptionists as I passed on the way to see the Doctor, who was very helpful too. Been with this practice for about 20 years now.”

Saw Dr Fardon who listened patiently to my complaint and dealt with me to my complete satisfaction with empathy and humour. Did not rush me nor gave me the impression he was itching to get to his next patient. My family and I have been with this practice since coming to Tingley in 1990, never had any complaints/problems with any of the varied staff over the years and on occasions have walked in with no appointment or prior phone call and been seen within minutes. As we left, after a 2.5 hour session, my child said she wished she could do it all over again. The report that followed was detailed, clear and made various recommendations. It includes all scores and a summary of the tests. A really clear output. “I have been using this GPs for over 20 years, unfortunately last year I found it really hard to get appointments and even speak to someone for help. I must say over the last 6 months I have seen a much better level of attentiveness from this GP. I don’t like using patch’s to book but now I am used to it, for important things like a recent bout of pneumonia I was seen the same day and the doctor was excellent. My previous complaints about this practice were the difficulty getting an appointment, never the quality of care - now I understand the system I have not had issues with getting support. For new comers just get used to using Patch’s to book appointments and make sure you get on by 8 am if you need something same day. I have gone on as late as 9am and still managed to get an appointment.”

He went through many questions for the assessment and concluded that my symptoms are consistent with a depression rather than dementia. He prescribed 6 weeks of antidepressant to me. My mood has been lifted after the medicine and I felt new life has came back to me. I am much in debt to Dr. Taylor's care and appropriate treatment on me. A big thank you to rebuild my life.”
