Pasta in Leeds

“We went early in the evening for dinner and had no reservations. Luckily someone who had reserved didn’t turn up and so we got a table. The food was absolutely delectable and lip smacking . I could click only two photos although we had ordered 3 appetisers and a main course. The Bruschetta with Bufala and Parma - Belliisomo…Pappardelle Guanciale Pistacchio E Stracciatella was a first time for me… it was nice but would have loved some more olive oil in it. The Calamari Frito was very good too and the chili garlic mayo added that zing..we also ordered the Insalata Balsamica … fresh rocket and salad leaves, cherry tomatoes and some onion make it a lovely accompaniment for fibre.. while I wanted to try a dessert, we were too full and hence didn’t . Prior reservations are highly recommended”

“What a delightful place for a celebration or even just a drink. The quality of the food is top notch and worth the trip. Staff are friendly and able to make adjustments as required. The bruschetta was strong with garlic and the tomatoes were very fresh and juicy. The chicken was thin and crispy, paired with the delicious spaghetti topped with fresh tomatoes and basil. The meal was finished off with zeppola. This is a crispy choux bun filled with sweet vanilla cream. I was able to get this without the cherries and it was perfect. We will defiantly be back when we come back to Leeds!”

“I came here after my partner's graduation because it was dedicated gluten free and it did not disappoint! The choice is amazing, the staff are super friendly and the food is made fresh (you can taste it !). I really enjoyed my non alcoholic cocktail. All the food was amazing! The calamari was the best I have tasted !”

“We went on 5th December before seeing Miss Saigon. It was very festive, all tables were taken and the atmosphere was joyous. The staff were excellent, one of our meals didn’t have enough chicken in it. As soon as we raised this with our waiter he apologised and solved the problem. More chicken was presented to our table in good time as we were all still eating. Very reasonably priced and good food for the centre of town and an excellent service”

“I've been coming here for years ,now I'm fussy with food . But i have never had an issue with the food here. The staff are brilliant , they are interested in you and ask about you and your family . Yeah Paul ,you could go elsewhere in this area but in my opinion when you find a winner you stick , mammas are one of if not the best pizza parlours around . Maybe seeing as you review everywhere you , your taking it a bit seriously. Have you reviewed your house and family yet ? 1 bad review takes ages to work back .Just think of that when you throw YOUR opinion about .”

“First time ordering a take away from here. Something for everyone on the menu. A meaty version for my other half and vegan pizza for myself. They even provided an insulated bag to ensure the pizzas retained their heat on the journey back home. We will definitely be back to return it!”

“Just around the corner from the main food court but still in the market. Sweet Saeeda is an absolute treat for anyone looking for super fresh, flavour-packed, Tunisian food. It's years since I've been to Tunisia but I don't remember ever eating anything this amazing when I was there. The range of items is really good and I can wait to try more but I had a Chicken Tunisian Plate this time which offers fantastic value at £8.50. An assortment of crisp salad items, chickpeas, olives, hummus, mechouia, beautifully marinated and fresh cooked chicken, fresh bread and an assortment of sauces that includes an umami-packed chilli one that's awesome. The lemon wedge adds yet another flavour layer. You also get a drink of your choice. Service is friendly and fast and there's a couple of tables right outside if you don't want to spend ages trying to find one that needs wiping in the main hall. You also get served on beautiful plates too. All the food other people were buying looked equally mouthwatering, I can't wait to go back.”

“This is the third time visiting Vesuvius and each time we have been blown away by the amazing food! The chefs and staff are so friendly and there is such a welcoming atmosphere. Our favourites are the Napoletana and Bufala. Such authentic flavours and a lovely restaurant. Won’t go anywhere else for pizza. As a vegetarian it’s great having so many options and also a vegan option! Best pizza I’ve had by miles- and I’m not just saying that. So fresh and delicious”

The pizza’s are delicious and crisp, and the pasta and meatballs was the best I have had in many years. “OMG. I had been recommended this little gem by a colleague who lives locally. And as described the best Pizza around, although I haven't tried them all, I wasn't disappointed. Perfect service from a wonderful family business, even better pizza and to top it off the gorgeous lady put a free bottle of lager in the bag to accompany my meal. I will 100% be back the next time I'm in town. Don't miss the opportunity to sample a little slice of Italy here in Leeds. “This was our first visit to this small italian restaurant in the centre of Meanwood. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient assisting with the nuances of the menu. The concept is one of sharing your dishes similar to Spanish tapes, so that's what we did. The food was unusual and delicious with good-sized portions. An all round great evening and I will certainly be going back. Well true to my word I came back with friends and again everything was outstanding. The menu had a number of changes, which was interesting and confirmed that they use what's in season and fresh. Throughout the evening, we shared probably 10 dishes and they all received rave reviews from our table. Get booked and give it a go.”
