The food is always outstanding and super fresh, every dish tastes like it has been made with real care and quality ingredients. Even when visiting on a weekday the place is buzzing with atmosphere, which speaks volumes about just how loved it is in the community. It is no wonder that Mama Mia’s has been open for over 30 years, the consistency and dedication really shine through every single time. I really like that there is a lovely little area at the front where you can sit down, enjoy a drink or just relax while your table is being prepared, it makes the whole dining experience feel even more special. The décor inside is beautiful and instantly transports you to Italy, giving you that authentic feel that pairs perfectly with the food. I have been many times over the years and I can honestly say it never disappoints. The atmosphere, the staff, the food and the overall experience are always spot on. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a fantastic meal in Pontefract, Mama Mia’s should absolutely be at the top of your list.”

“An unexpected stop for breakfast this morning turned out to be a lovely little find! The décor inside is really nice, and the staff gave us such a warm welcome. We sat upstairs and ordered a full English breakfast and a full vegetarian breakfast — both were freshly cooked and delicious. Service was quick and friendly, and we didn’t have to wait long at all. I’d definitely recommend this charming spot!”

“Very good little village pub with large beer garden and plentiful outdoor seating. Has some additional seating to the front as well. A very well kept and clean pub with extremely shiny brasses. Natural stone walls and chunky wooden beams. Handpulled cask beers were Black Sheep and Farmer's Blonde. Also had a selection of sandwiches available. All good, would revisit and would recommend.”

“What a fantastic restaurant! We were a table of 17 and despite the numbers all the food was brought out efficiently and correctly. The food was delicious, and the staff ere lovely. “Best pizza in the area! You can tell that the dough is homemade and that all ingredients are fresh! I would definitely recommend pizza Roma! We ordered pizzas for our football team. We asked them for pick up at 5:30. They said that they could arrange this; and they was all ready when I arrived! Excellent service! There staff were really helpful!”

“Absolute, monster size kebab, meat prober thick donner meat and huge chunks of chicken, came well before it said it would, got a free garlic bread, guy on phone was great when I rang to add chips I'd forgot to order for my daughter said just give driver a quid.
