“Lovely breakfast buffet. None of the cheap ingredients that you usually get on a buffet, all proper stuff and very tasty. Have as much or as little as you want for £7.99. Unlimited refills on tea and coffee too. Pub was clean and bright with plenty of seating inside and out. Staff very friendly and helpful. No ales on the bar unfortunately (not that I wanted one with breakfast)”

“Our first visit after my parents recommended it. We didn't book but we were accommodated straight away and shown to our table. After browsing the menu we chose the two courses for £9.90 . The starter arrived which was delicious followed by a lovely main course. The staff were nice and friendly.”

“Visited for the first time and was really impressed. The staff were really friendly and were working their socks off ensuring people were served quickly at their tables. There were plenty of tables outside and lots under the impressive teepee where we retreated when the weather turned. You can see how hard the Rose has worked to be open again for customers. Get down there and support a fantastic local.”

“Firstly the decor to this beautiful place is amazing, very warm and vibrant. The new landlord is very welcoming and polite. The food is amazing and the chef is very welcoming and polite, it's old fashion values that go along way and this place has it! I would recommend 100% it has a good level of background music, the car park it free, the pub itself is very well set out and clean. We will be visiting on a more regular basis. “Great experience passing thru Leeds and stopping for late lunch at this place. We were having north and called 20 mins ahead of arrival but still took another 20 mins for food to arrive. We had a lamb and chicken karahi, kabuli pulao, chapal kebab, chicken tikka, and lamb chops. Karahis, both on point, exactly what I would expect from an afghan place and reasonably priced, no stupid £30 a kilo here. The chapal kebab are probably the best I've had, super crispy edges, beautifully spiced and seasoned and moist and juicy in side. Chicken tikka was meh, but the lb chops perfectly grilled and simply seasoned. Naan, awesome, and we went thru all naan delivered. We didn't even tell them how many we need they just knew! Kabuli pulao was also great with a generous portion of rice and fall of the bone lamb. Like I said everything was reasonably priced and I would defo stop by again.”

“This pub is local to me but I never really go in when passing by. Today I thought I’d give it a try and it did not disappoint. I had the hot beef baguette with home made chips (which is something you don’t see much these days) which was really tasty with generous portion sizes. Great value, and the staff were really nice too. I will definitely be coming here more now. I sat outside, but the pub was really nice inside too.”

“I would highly recommend Judges Lodgjngs as this hotel is ideally located within easy reach of all the historic sites, the walls, shops, café, restaurants, bars, etc. Also, the rooms are very comfortable, and all the staff are friendly and always willing to help. Jackalyn, on Reception, was always very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She advised us that she had only recently started at The Judges Lodgings, but this was never evident, and it was lovely chatting to her throughout our stay.”

“Stopped for lunch with Three-year-old daughter and my wife. Not only was the food lovely, but our server Leah could not have been more accommodating to our young one. Brought a few small toys over and some colouring to keep her occupied and spoke really nicely to her. Daughter went chasing her to show off her colouring she liked her that much. Thank you Leah, not only for the sublime food, but for treating my daughter the way you did. We will certainly be back!”
