Very tasty and the chef ( hubby) makes all the meals in his open kitchen while his wife chats and explaining about the venue and good selection of wine and takes orders ect, son helps out as well..... Never felt rushed and all round good friendly experience for our first time. Will visit again when we are up north for definite!!!!! Xx”

“Excellent quality food and fantastic service. All the meats were excellent and the staff kept bringing more. There’s a pleasant self-service salad/buffet bar too. It was basically empty on our afternoon visit so we got excellent personal service and everything cooked specifically for us. The minted lamb was my personal favourite. We will be back.”

“Walked in just after it opened Waiter came quickly and sat us down and asked how we were. She recommended some dishes. Very knowledgeable staff. She was called SUMI. She knows her stuff. Very intelligent welcoming woman. We ordered the Korean with egg fried rice. Chicken dumplings. Malaysian butter chicken, Black pepper beef noodles, volcano sushi. Now let me tell you about the Malaysian butter chicken dolloped ontop of a crispy baby paratha. This was next level, would come back just for this. Volcano Sushi was genuinely really nice and crispy, easy on thr tongue. All in all, this place is legit, and defo recommended for people who want a different taste to your usual burger and pizza. Blue lagoon was spot on. Not too sweet. It was perfect”

“This restaurant is an excellent choice. It has a very intriguing character and decoration. The food is refined, beautifully presented and very tasty. Staff is very welcoming and attentive. They also accommodated our last minute request to change one of the menus to vegetarian option. You enter from the street through a door and need to walk upstairs where you are greeted by the staff in a bar/lounge area. You will be seated and offered a drink. At this point you don’t see the dining area, so you can’t be sure what to expect. The dining room is spacious with a view of the open kitchen. We have been seated at a large table with sofas instead of chairs, which were very comfortable. Table is nicely decorated with candles and live flowers. The tasting menu consists ten courses and costs £75 per person which is reasonable. The whole menu was served over four hours, so book the table early in the evening if you want to catch a train back home. The menu is changed at the beginning of every month. The only little criticism we have is that there aren’t any fresh juices available and the wines starts from £34 per bottle (they could have some more reasonably priced options). Overall, the restaurant presents very high standard and I guess they will get the Michelin star soon, so book now before the prices go up ;)”

“Well for a start, you carn’t go wrong calling this pub the little bull. Every window has a blue bull printed on it. At the front of pub is a big blue bull printed on it. The entrance door is blue. The window blinds are blue. Inside the decoris blue. They took out the two log open fires. They took away all the bar stools. Theirs a bandit gambling slot money machine standing at the bar now. Bandit gambling mchines in the pool table room. I got half glass of sparkling cider. I gave a ten pound note to the bar tender. He was busy and looking and talking to his next customer. I had my change nearly thrown at my hand and missed. I was not impressed. I visited the pub a few months ago. I got a pint of John smiths bitter. I took the glass of John smiths outside and sat on the new bench. I was waiting for my bus. The bustop right outside the little bull. My bus came before I had time to drink my John smiths. I got on the bus with my pint of John smiths in my coat pocket. The bus driver did not see me. The manager of the little bull was watching everything. He saw me getting on the bus with a pint glass of John smiths. I was unaware of this. I didn’t mean to do it. I wasn’t thinking straight. Next time I went in the little bull. The manager was ready for me. He said I should be barred. He served me a drink. I have since on my eBay. Bought the manager of the little bull. Pint glass of John smiths. Costing me £8.50.I have it right now and I’m taking the glass down to the little bull today at 2pm. They do not serve cooked food. Or even a cold sandwich. Just crisps and nuts. Round the back of the blue little bull. They have took away all the garden furniture and umbrella shades. All the swings and slide have gone. Their is a couple of benches with no umbrella shades. “I've been getting my weekly fix from Lion's Kitchen for over 10 years, to the point where I'm known as "Friday Stewart" The food is always great, and a consistent reminder of family meal times in Jamaica and my mum's cooking. It's a takeaway, so don't expect plush restaurant settings, however, whenever you drop in, the ladies are are always friendly, and as quick as possible... SIdenote: On the rare occasion ×hen it does take take little longer than usual, just remembered, caribbean food is never meant to be served in a rush, it ruins the taste. Special shout out to Daniela who ensures everything is kept running smoothly. If you're looking for the absolute best , and most importantly, authentic Caribbean food, cooked by Jamaicans (there is a massive difference when it's prepared otherwise) then I highly recommend Lion's Kitchen. There's a reason why he's been in business for over 30 years which you'll taste when you sample his food.”

“Family meal for sons 30’s. First time eating at Aromas and massively impressed. Service was fabulous- polite and didn’t feel rushed. , food was absolutely gorgeous and staff were superb. The restaurant is very well designed with emphasis on diners comfort & not how many tables can be squeezed into a space to maximise takings. Also reassuringly obvious is the cleanliness of the restaurant. It’s spotless - absolutely spotless throughout. I can’t praise this restaurant highly enough. In a saturated market it must be difficult to offer something that is better in every way than the competition - but Aromas does it and does it without massively over inflated menu prices or a pretentious attitude that leaves you feeling uncomfortable being there. Book a table …. you will not be disappointed.”

“An unexpected stop for breakfast this morning turned out to be a lovely little find! The décor inside is really nice, and the staff gave us such a warm welcome. “Yet another awesome sushi restaurant of which there seems to have been an explosion of in recent years which is fab! Beautifully light and crisp mixed tempura, gorgeous fresh sashimi (the mackerel seemed particularly good) and a delicious rainbow roll (I think it was). We then had a couple of the special desserts - apple gyozas and an ice-cream ball rolled in dessicated coconut, dipped in tempura batter and deep fried. Amazing! Wonderful, friendly and polite service and lovely atmosphere. Another one to recommend!”

“This is one of my favourite pubs in Wakefield. It has a superb location and a large selection of seating from outside on the lawn and the pub garden to inside the pub or it's conservatory. The pub itself is very old and worth visiting purely for this reason. It's full of character and is worth seeing. As for the food - the pies here are next level. The staff are always friendly. So yes definitely one to visit.”
