βWent here on my day trip to York and the food was absolutely delicious. Came out piping hot and plated beautifully. The service was also extraordinary and the waitstaff went out of their way to make me and my friends feel accommodated. This restaurant truly captures the essence of a family owned business and feels like a warm hug.β
βThis was the first time that I visited the Yorkshire Brasserie. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you enter the restaurant and our breakfast was well presented and very tasty. For the time being there's no on-site parking, although it looks like this will be remedied in the near future. Notwithstanding there is a car park on the right as you head out of town on the A61 Barnsley Road, there is a charge for parking, but it is free on Sundays.β
βAbsolutely amazing, staff were great, place was great and even accommodated a large party on short notice of another venue letting us down. Would recommend to anyone for drinks, food or bookings!! You don't get business owners in public houses like this anymore, Sam, Sharon and the team are a cut above the rest!β
βWe were greeted by lovely, friendly staff on arrival and instantly loved the dΓ©cor. But of course, we came for the pies weβd heard so much about β and they did not disappoint! I had the garlic chicken and mushroom pie with mash and peas, and it was absolutely delicious. My partner went for the minted lamb pie with dumplings, mash, and peas, and he was just as impressed. The food is home-cooked, full of flavour, and very reasonably priced. Definitely a place weβll be coming back to again!β
βUtah Saints were awesome! Great venue and great support DJs.β
βBest pub in all Huddersfield, amazing staff and owners.. Tell demβΌοΈβ
βLocated a short walk from Huddersfield train station, this is a traditional pub with friendly staff and a great selection of beers. Very reasonable price also (about Β£13 for a round of 4). We didn't have food but the menu looked great and very good prices too. Lots of big screens dotted about also so would be good for watching sport also. Lovely pub.β
βLovely accommodating staff when weβve been to the venue setting up our new Premium Inflatables for our clients parties. Easy access to set up & look forward to returning in the future xxβ

βWe've just had our painters meeting AGM today. We all had a meal, and the food was super. Steak and ale pie with chips and peas was excellent. The service was first class, and the staff are wonderful. We go every month. It's a lovely pub.β

βNever ate, had a few beers, great old school pub. Excellent pint of John Smith and great hostsβ
βGood boozers pub, cheap beer. Friendly staff with very casual local atmosphere in 3 downstairs rooms, one large room and 2 smaller rooms. Loads of sport on at least 4 large screens, different sports on every screen. Private seating and smoking area to the rear of the pub. In walking distance to lots of shops, bus stops and a taxi rank.β
βI was in for the Kings coronation and that buffet they put on was the best I have had in a long time. I was shocked as I am from out of town but boy was it nice. Good call guysβ
βNice furnishings good swimming pool. Didn't use restaurant. Room very hot fan available. More of a walk from station than expected by description. Would use again.β
βWe have been here quite a few times now and like to visit on a Thursday or Friday afternoon before the weekend crowds descend on the City centre. On our last visit we ordered a selection of nibbles to put us on and I think the choices we made were perfect . We especially liked the cod cheeks. John doesn't like Oysters but I couldn't resist the offer that they had on of 6 Lindisfarne Oysters and 2 glasses of @nyetimber for Β£34. The oysters were the biggest I have ever seen and they were yummy. Angelica's has a great happy hour that is actually 4 hours long. My favourite was the frozen pina colada and John opted for the frozen strawberry daiquiri. It's so nice to sit outside on the rooftop terrace and it's not a problem if it's a little chilly as there are heaters under the parasols.β
βAn unplanned visit as needed a pit stop. A welcoming place, with a great friendly service. A gently humming spacious inside and pretty outside seating area, with various groups of people enjoying a coffee or a full English. I left feeling refreshed after my cup of hot Twinnings tea.β
βWe went for the first time for my mums birthday. I booked a reservation online and told them it was her birthday asked if they could do something special if possible. Also made them aware that some members of the group were anxious and would prefer somewhere quieter. They went above and beyond our expectations! Plus their food is amazing! Will 100% be coming back. Thank you so much for making my mums birthday special.β
βThis is a pub with no frills. It's a bit like speaking your mind, it is what it is, the bitter/lager is probably one of the best kept around the area. Nice outside in the summerβ
βVery tasty parmesan, probably the best parmo I've had yet!β
βWhat a beautiful little tea room within Thornes Park. Fantastic and very friendly atmosphere. Very dog friendly and our fur baby is given a sausage snack as do all doggies. We have a walk around this beautiful park finishing with a visit to our favourite tea room. Try it. You'll love it.β
βWe have stayed in this hotel 3-4 times a year for 6 years and we love it. Great location, clean rooms, great staff, you have everything you need and the breakfast is amazing! I arranged this trip as a suprise for my husband for Christmas and posted some decorations to add to the festive magic! See you next time!β
