βHad an amazing time at the Oaklands this evening catching up with family members. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and polite. Olivia especially went above and beyond to make sure our array of dietary requirements were appropriately catered for! We had a great experience, thank you Oaklands!β
βEverything brilliant, except and it's such a shame, you can't get around the pool table, it's so tight in places.β
βWe had used Thornley Groves some years ago when selling our property in Altrincham so when their boards started to appear in Chester we were keen to use them again. Right from the word go they came out straight away to value our property and get it listed rather than the lengthy wait you have with some of the other local agents. They are a great team in the Chester office with special thanks to Jackie and Aaron who we dealt with on a regular basis and guided us throughout the selling process . From our perspective it was good to have consistent points of contact, something we didn't have when dealing with a previous agent. Definitely recommend Thornley Groves if you are thinking of selling your property.β
βWe stayed here from Friday 7th of November to Sunday 9th. Can't fault our stay at all. Beds were comfy, room was clean and tidy. Staff are fantastic and very pleasant. Room was slightly tired but you get what you pay for so was up to expectations. Would definitely stay againβ
βVenue Hire Review: My dad recently passed away and we wanted somewhere private to hold a Celebration of Life with his family and friends. I therefore reached out to a few places to find out what they could offer and enquire about the room and buffet options they had available. The Holiday Inn Chester West replied quite quickly, but most importantly they offered their condolences before going into any kind of sales pitch, which the other companies did not. Harriet sent us a lovely Celebration of Life brochure and said that we were welcome to visit to see the room available, so we arranged to take my mum up a couple of days later. We were extremely impressed with what was on offer for the price and therefore paid the deposit there and then. On the day itself the service provided exceeded our expectations. The room was beautifully decorated and just the right size for our guests. The food was delicious and plentiful and there was a great choice available to suit all tastes. There was a Bluetooth speaker available, so we created a Spotify playlist of some of my dads favourite songs which helped to create a lovely atmosphere and the staff also helped us to set up a photo display that I had created, along with a beautiful memory table. All of the staff were absolutely brilliant and I cannot thank them enough for helping us arrange a lovely Celebration of Life during what was a difficult and emotional time for us all.β
βWe loved the newly decorated room style with the table and chairs instead of the sofa bed. The team were very friendly and helpful as is usual and the cleanliness and levels of maintenance were top notch as usual too. Location is great as it's just a 10 minute drive from Chester Zoo and a very short drive to the park and ride into Chester, which is only Β£2.50 per adult for a return ticket. The breakfast and evening meals are in the hotel now and pre booking at reception is essential. They've closed the adjacent pub, so if you're not as organised as you'd like to be regarding evening meals then do try The Cheshire Cat just 5 minutes drive away.β
βI've just completed a year's rental managed by Belvoir. Fantastic experience, Gordon and Sarah were always available, answering any queries and quickly to sort any minor repairs. Communication was always well organised and done in a timely fashion. A great year at a property in Chester. Thank youβ
βWe stayed at the city hotel for 2 nights for my partners birthday weekend away, before we even arrived Sophie was texting us to see if we needed anything and let us know our room was ready, and wow what a room! We stayed in room 6 which has a free standing bath and all the little Luxuries you could need, from coffee pods, tea, fresh milk to shower gels, shampoo and bath salts. The room is well presented and nicely laid out with a very comfy bed and soft furnishings giving that homely luxury feel. Sophie was always on hand only a text away and willing to answer any questions or queries we had, as well as providing our welcome drinks on arrival and making sure our room had extra towels and toiletries on day 2 of our stay. I would HIGHLY recommend the city hotel Chester for a weekend get away and cannot thank Sophie enough for all the effort she puts into looking after her guests.β
βLovely place, especially for the price. I used it onky as a hotel, and while the music does travel through the windows a bit making it a little loud if you're hoping to get an early night, everything else was greatβ
βThis review is for two members of staff that made my stay worth every penny and more. Me and my partner stayed for two nights and received the best service we have had in any previous hotel we have stayed at. Matt who greeted us at check-in was everything you would want in an employeeβ¦ He was well mannered, had a smile on his face and made you feel welcome. During are stay he went above and beyond to cater not only to us but everyone else staying in the hotel. Nothing was to much for him and at one point I had to ask if he had a twin working. Matt was everywhere from greeting you, serving you your meal and drinks, putting out fresh bedding even carrying luggage to peopleβs rooms. If you ever stay here I hope that you meet this gentleman he will make your stay as best as he can to his capabilities. Thank you Matt you are a credit to this company. Jane I believe took over from Matt as night staff. I did not have many encounters with her as it was late, but what short encounters I did I couldnβt ask for more. Her welcoming smile and how professional she dealt with an issue I had one night was incredible. She took the time out of her shift to speak and listen to me and do everything she could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I canβt say much more about Jane but I believe if I had met her working in the day I would have more to say and she would have excelled like Matt did. I thank you both and I do hope your company read this review and know what an asset you are to them. Ashley and Kay from Prestatynβ
βLovely friendly lass behind the bar. Great meals at low prices, and a lively sunny spot to sit!β
βMy husband and I stayed for my birthday and had such a lovely time. The location is amazing for Chester and access to the city with the park and ride right next door or 10 mins driving. Also just 10 mins to Chester Zoo. We had Muskan on reception who was the sweetest person, so welcoming and gave us the full detail on the hotel and places to see in Chester. Simran and the team left a handwritten card, chocolates, towel art, balloons and banner in our room as my husband mentioned we were celebrating my birthday, which was very thoughtful! The room was spotlessly clean - does need a little upgrade here and there but had everything we could want. Shower had good power and was a good temperature. We had dinner in the hotel and really enjoyed it, again the staff there couldn't do enough for us and the same for the breakfast in the morning - all lovely options on offer and the staff were wonderful. We went to the spa which is a pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room and is also a little tired but clean and we enjoyed an hour there. There's also a gym but we didn't use it and nice garden area.β
βWhere do I start. The whole experience exceeded my already high expectations after reading great reviews from this establishment. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. The spa facilities gave me a much needed reset along with the treatment, I felt like all the stress had left my body instantly. The room was spacious, homely, so clean and the bed was divine. The breakfast in the morning just topped it off. Would definitely recommend!! Many thanks to John and all the team for all your hard work making it the perfect stay :)β
βAbsolutely wonderful apartment in a perfect riverside location. Melanie has thought of everything to make this apartment the ideal place to stay. We stayed as a group of five and there was more than enough space. The views of the river were idyllic and having the option of a parking space so close to town was so handy. Thank you for a great stay Melanie we would love to stay again soon.β

βVisit this sausage hotel regularly and am always impressed by how happy all the little sausages are. They all get on so well which shows how well acclimatised they are to each other before they stay and itβs so lovely watching them all play and walk together. A&T clearly treat them all as their own would recommend this place to anyone β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ
