“Really nice gem of a cafe in Stanley Park. Plenty of seating space available. Staff are very friendly and on top of clearing tables and cleaning up the cafe as the day goes. Prices were very reasonable and the portion size was more than adequate. The steak and onion ciabatta was delicious, I would happily order that again. 5 stars, would definitely recommend.”

“Food was so fresh and tasty, the kids loved the pasta dishes and me and the wife loved our pizzas. Everything was very hot and fresh and had great flavour. Service was great also, really nice staff, and very quick and attentive, the chef even asked us if everything was okay as he was passing. Little hidden gem this, will definitely be returning !”

“I personally have been coming here since 2010 when in uni. Always friendly service and nice seating area and clean. Enjoy eating here and falafel are fresh and love their orange juice and halloumi wrap. Last time we had an omelette and Mediterranean breakfast which was tasty. I like it here.”

“Fantastic cafe with in my opinion the best breakfast st helens has to offer. Really great place with a good menu and changing specials so something for everyone. Amazing staff, great value, pleasant surroundings. A definite favourite of many around town, loads of parking and even have events including classic cars depending on the season. We'll worth trying it out you won't regret it”

“The cool lighting, good vibes and general atmosphere was just amazing, such a great experience. I’d recommend this place to anybody, it’s perfect for a couples date night, dinner with your friends or even with the family, it’s just such a gorgeous location and feels there is so much history in the beautiful building! We tried out some of their small plates on the menu at the time, from mojo rump steak covered in a beautiful mint sauce, to nduja butter prawns, which were delicious! The staff were so kind, welcoming and friendly, and we generally had an all round fantastic experience here, can’t wait to come again!”

“I've been to quite a few cafes in my time, my friend took me to this cafe and what can I say, Amazing!!!! The problem that I have with cafes is when the food lands on your table something is cold, the plate of food that landed in front of me was hot and tasted fantastic. This food was made with the love that makes food taste amazing. 10 out of 10 for me, definitely my new go to cafe. BTW the lady who cooks works very hard. You have nothing to lose but go and try you will not be disappointed, combine it with your shopping Tesco is across the road”

“Great for younger children. Animals are obviously well cared for (although lots of caged birds and ducks some people may not like). Reasonably priced entry with lots of opportunities to pet and feed the animals. 3 members of staff actively stopped to talk to us about the animals they were caring for which was nice. Wide variety of animals including a Barn owl, ferrets, pigs, sheep, goats, alpacas, canaries, donkeys, hens, peacocks and (rescued) parrots. 2 good playgrounds and a small indoor soft play. The food in the cafe was OK. Menu catered well for dietary requirements. No picnics allowed FYI. We were there for 4 hours including food and feeding the lambs so all in all a good day out.”

“Service was great! As soon as we walked in we were approached by a nice young gentleman with menus ready in hand. The food was excellent we ordered the tuna sandwich and a fish and chips. The tuna sandwich had enough filling on to feed a family it was great! The chips were chip shop style and they were the best chippy chips I’ve ever had. The fish was just to die for. Definitely recommend!!”

“Went in to grab a belly buster meal and the chef couldn’t have been any more helpful. Very friendly and polite! He offered to include extra items as I didn’t want the egg in it which other places might not have done. Food was spot on, this should be everyone’s breakfast go to place! 10/10”

“Discovered this little gem of a cafe off of recommendations from work colleagues. Now visit several times a week. The toasted sandwiches are amazing, full of filling and so fresh! Staff are great, very friendly and welcoming. Must be going there too much as I walked in and they said “the usual” tried several times to get a picture of my breakfast toastie but it didn’t last too long”

“Absolutely amazing - under new management and they have turned this place around. The ambiance was so welcoming and warm. The staff are all over it - customer service at its best. The portions were massive and so delicious. Old timeless classic building -mixed with a modern twist. I sat here on my own for 2hours waiting for my car to be fixed - ate n drank so much - but didn’t feel awkward being alone. Truly stunning interior, spotlessly clean, flattering lighting, great tunes- perfect little cafe Bistro. I wish you lots of luck with this project - 10/10. It’s got the heart of village community amalgamated with meeting to everyone’s expectations of what a great little place for a munch is - so relaxed. Thank you xx”

“As a description, cafe doesnt do this iconic Liverpool eaterie justice, though there are staples such as burgers etc, its the home made Chinese food that takes top spot, hey, it's not the Ritz, but it doesn't pretend to be, it offers supremely well cooked food including exceptional home made items such as spring rolls etc, done perfectly. Lovely owners, great food, whats not to like !”

“Great breakfast nicely cooked 3 full English breakfast and one fried egg on toast. It would be nice if the staff smiled a bit. It sometimes feels as though it's a " think yourself lucky you are being served," approach to customer service. It was busy at the time to be fair, and the staff looked pushed. But I've had the same when it isn't busy. Will persevere as the food is tasty and good value.”
