“Visited near Christmas in an afternoon for lunch. The food was really nice - and a little bit more unusual for what you'd normally expect from a 'tourist attraction' type place! The staff were friendly and helpful with assisting with a gluten intolerance that one of our party has. Would definitely recommend for if you are visiting Chester Zoo!”

“Classic Chester city centre pub with low beams and darker interior although the music livened the place up nicely. Enjoyed my visit and a decent selection of real ales and candles lit on all the tables adding to a nice relaxing vibe. Looks historical on the outside and even more so after you enter.”

“Great food, lovely staff, great atmosphere. It’s a very convenient place for romantic dates as well. They have been so kind that they offered us drinks on my birthday. We enjoy their duck every time. They also have a very tasty onion soup. This place has much wider space than it looks from outside. Proper for big group meetings including company dinners.”

“We are a party of eight who spent the evening celebrating our friends 60th birthday. Could not fault anything. The most delicious food, all served freshly prepared and good and hot. We were thoroughly looked after by Cristi and all the staff, never made to wait but not rushed either. It was plain that they really cared about giving us excellent service all evening. “A nice place for a family treat. Good selection of sweet as well as savoury pancakes. Staff are attentive and helpful. The woman who served us was happy and chirpy. The cafe is clean and bright. You can see the pancakes being made, right behind the counter, so you can have confidence in the cooking. I sampled a savoury pancake with cream cheese and smoked salmon, which came with a generous side of rocket. My son had a sweet pancake with Nutella, whipped cream, banana and chocolate sauce. We both enjoyed our food and couldn’t fault it.”

“Popped into Costa Coffee in Chester and really enjoyed our visit. I had a flat white and a cheese toastie, and Pauline had an Earl Grey tea and a slice of ginger loaf – everything was tasty and well-prepared. Friendly service and a nice, relaxed atmosphere.”

“Always love Nando’s food, I get the children’s meal for £6 because it’s more than enough food and so cheap. Our food came quick and was hot. I got the new flavour, realised soon enough that it was incredibly spicy but tasted amazing! The waiter forgot to bring my glass over for my drink after bringing over my partner’s but after I showed him my order, he solved the issue and grabbed me a glass. Only issue I had was that there was food on the floor under our table which I stepped in, must have not been noticed when the table was cleaned but that wasn’t a big issue. Would definitely come again!”

“Venue Hire Review: My dad recently passed away and we wanted somewhere private to hold a Celebration of Life with his family and friends. I therefore reached out to a few places to find out what they could offer and enquire about the room and buffet options they had available. The Holiday Inn Chester West replied quite quickly, but most importantly they offered their condolences before going into any kind of sales pitch, which the other companies did not. Harriet sent us a lovely Celebration of Life brochure and said that we were welcome to visit to see the room available, so we arranged to take my mum up a couple of days later. We were extremely impressed with what was on offer for the price and therefore paid the deposit there and then. On the day itself the service provided exceeded our expectations. The room was beautifully decorated and just the right size for our guests. The food was delicious and plentiful and there was a great choice available to suit all tastes. There was a Bluetooth speaker available, so we created a Spotify playlist of some of my dads favourite songs which helped to create a lovely atmosphere and the staff also helped us to set up a photo display that I had created, along with a beautiful memory table. All of the staff were absolutely brilliant and I cannot thank them enough for helping us arrange a lovely Celebration of Life during what was a difficult and emotional time for us all.”

“Lovely staff at Leon Chester services, food is prepared quickly and efficiently. Seating are is constantly cleaned and bins emptied. Always love their good and hot chocolate. Frequent stops taken there for food and rest.”

“I have had the cheesy chips and curry sauce from here many times after a drunken night out and loved it but was hesitant to try sober as i didnt know if my love for this place was the drink talking. Today i tried the cheesy chips any curry sauce sober for thr first time and it did not disappoint! I can wholeheartedly state that Go Fresco is the best place in chester to order this type of food drunk or sober!”

“Always have to pop in when i’m in chester, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and honestly fit the vibe of the shop so well. They always have cute clothes, bags and jewellery stocked that i would genuinely give my whole life savings for. As well as so much Wiccan stuff which as a pagan is so amazing to see!! Always have to at least buy some incents when i go in because I can’t resist. Highly recommend!!”
