“Great food: piri piri chicken was beautifully grilled, we liked also the samon and the "cataplana". Great and attentive service, good sized portions, great price per value. Definatelly we shall be back more than once.”

“Excellent food. Wonderful staff, especially the female Sommelier. Two stand out dishes - Duck liver parfait was brilliant as was the chocolate tart. There’s a nice outdoor area to have a drink before your meal, so I recommend going early if it’s a nice day. There’s a small car park and an onsite hotel.”

“Very last minute booking on a Saturday night accepted and so pleased they fit us in as it was our first visit and certainly won't be our last. The best New Yorker pizza I have tasted. Not my usual choice but I thought it sounded nice and I was not disappointed at all. Really tasty food as agreed by my partner and daughter too. “The rice container was filled full of broken rice with only a thin layer of whole grain on top to make it seem good quality. Keema naan only had any keema in about 1/3 of the whole thing. Lids not on curry containers correctly so curry spilled out when taking containers out the bag. However, very quick and happy service. Shame about the quality which is usually very good.”

“Friday 18th April 2025 Today, I came to this cosy and friendly micro pub This pub was full of local clentelle drinking mostly a pint of real ale. There were 4 hand pumps on today. 3 real ales and a real cider The staff were ace The beers i had /a Hawks Head pale/was in fine fettle This pub, when drinking real ale in Ormskirk, is a must to come and have a pint in Saturday 14th November 2025 Today I again visited this superb micro/real ale bar This 1 roomed pub had 4 hand pulled ales on offer from local and small breweries Friendly well run easy going pub with great clientelle easy going background music This pub for real ales is a essential visit when in Ormskirk”

“The food was amazing, bagels soft and fluffy, wide variety of fillings available. The cakes and desserts are delicious, and from what I can see it is all lovingly homemade. Staff were lovely and helpful”

“Came here on a Saturday afternoon with the kids and it was busy so we were lucky to get a table. They’ve done a great job of renovating this place with a fresh lick of paint and beautiful artwork on the walls. The owners are on the floor serving tables alongside the waitresses which is really nice to see. Food was great and the milkshake was outstanding. We will definitely be back.”

“Had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant. Our servers, Kat, vicky, and Namida, were excellent, providing attentive and friendly service. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by a rude encounter with the supervisor, who not only exhibited poor manners but also got my order wrong. Despite this, the overall ambiance and the efforts of the servers made the meal enjoyable.”

“Very nice place with lots of fun and fantastic food! The price was reasonable; we paid £42 for 2 hours for 2 kids. The only issue was that it was very busy, and we couldn’t find a table to sit at for about an hour. This was understandable, considering it was the school half-term. Otherwise, we had a great time!”

“It is decades since I was last at the Kicking Donkey. Went on a whim on a late Saturday lunchtime. Turned out to be a great decision - the food was lovely at reasonable prices for quality and portion size. The service was spot on; helpful and pleasant without being over the the top. And it's dog friendly which is a bonus. We will be back.”

“Had the most amazing evening in miller and carter in aughton. How the lovely Lucy kept up with the menu choices was beyond me. We had a choice of festive, Xmas and a la carte and ordered from them all so goodness knows how she did it. Hope she’s here when we come back which we deffo will xxxx”

“Had a great visit with friends for a round of golf. Friendly welcome on arrival. Sausage sandwich and a coffee before our game, very nice. Work was being done on the greens but were true and quick. The course was in good condition. There are a few long tight holes on the back 9, I would play differently next time. Plenty of water on the course also. After the round we had a pizza, this was very tasty. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return. A great place.”

“Great New Years evening with delicious food and amazing atmosphere We came soon after the first lockdown and had to sit outside as inside was closed but still enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. We wanted to return and NYE was the best excuse, and not the last time either. The food was hot and tasty just as stated on the menu. I had asked for a couple of changes and this was done with no fuss to allow me to have the dish the way I wanted. All the staff were working hard but in a relaxed Manor which came across as a friendly place to sit back, relax and enjoy the evening. 100% chilled vibes and top notch food.”

“First time visiting The Sinners Club,it wont be the last. Tasty burgers, cooked well. Go simple with a double cheeseburger or be different and go for one of the many speciality burgers on offer. We had 2 burgers, one the basic cheeseburger and the other one of the speciality options, 2 lots of cheese and bacon topped fries, 10 onion rings, 2 pints of drink and one dessert and was just over £40 which i think for the quality and portion sizes was spot on. Lovely looking place, we went first thing saturday which was relaxing but i can imagine its an amazing place to be inside when its full. Definately a place you should visit if burgers are your thing.”

The hunters chicken breast I had was super fresh, juicy, tender and tasty… proper good pub food !! I don’t know why every pub in Liverpool can’t get it right and do a menu like yours! Fresh, tasty, great quality and massive portions!”

Very well priced too. Atmosphere was really good the Christmas decorations are beautiful.”
