From the moment I walked in, the hotel left a strong impression. The space is stunning, beautifully maintained, and filled with thoughtfully curated artwork and displays that give it a creative, modern, and inviting atmosphere. It’s clear that great care goes into every detail of the environment. A special mention must go to Brianna from the Events team, who was an absolute standout throughout the entire process. From our initial email exchanges, she was prompt, professional, and incredibly supportive, helping us explore options that aligned with our budget and event needs. Upon visiting the venue, she was warm, welcoming, open, and genuinely kind — a pleasure to meet and work with. Her dedication, attitude, and customer-focused approach make her a real credit to the company. Although we chose a different route for reasons specific to our own internal planning, I would highly recommend Bankside Hotel to anyone looking for a high-quality venue with exceptional service. “A great hotel in a great location. Literally steps to Trafalgar Square and Charing cross tube station. Plenty of pubs nearby for classic pub food and a beer. The hotel itself is totally original- Scotland Yard Police station converted to a hotel, complete with memorabilia on the walls . Good size rooms which was very comfy. Great staff, very friendly. Cocktail lounge was classy - good cocktails and live music on Friday/ Saturday. There are cookie cutter hotels which are all pretty average- then there is this amazing boutique hotel in a historic building . No contest. I know where I am staying when I am next in London.”

Negatives: Food Portions: While the quality is excellent, portions in the restaurant can feel on the smaller side. “Everything was really great! The room was nice with a comfortable bed and big and modern bathroom. Excellent cleaning daily. Staff was always happy to help and made a really good impression. The pub downstairs where also very friendly at had a cozy atmosphere and fun variety of evening themes. Good prices for food and drinks and again friendly service at the bar. It was also nice to see a how diverse the staff was. Usually you see only one kind of people in such staff. Here it felt like everyone was welcome. That also reflected on the guests, since you could see that they too had a good span in variety. Opening hours, times for check out and everything was just as I like it. Thank you!”

“I cannot recommend North London Furniture highly enough. The owners, Mark and Laura, are extremely kind, personable, professional and knowledgeable. Their many years of experience really shine through: they offered unbiased advice, explained various options and gave me their professional opinion, which turned out to be absolutely correct. I have long-standing back problems, but after several months of sleepless nights and wrong mattress purchases I finally received the best advice and found the right mattress. The delivery was punctual and to the actual bedroom, despite it being upstairs. The mattress recommended by Mark and Laura was life-changing for me, and within a couple of nights I was practically pain-free. Moreover, prices are extremely affordable for what are clearly very good quality items. I will definitely be recommending this shop to friends and family, and plan to go back for other items of furniture soon. Thank you so much!”

“Purchased at a garden show at Beaulieu in June. Great deal! 3-piece corner seating; glass-topped, height-adjustable table; bench stool; reclining chair. Comfortable seat height and back-rest height (not infants school seating!). Substantial seat pads and back cushions, none of your 2" thick stuff! Good communication regarding delivery timings. Delivered as agreed, promptly and well wrapped. Absolutely delighted with it!”

“The staff were very lovely, they worked with a smile on their face which was refreshing. The room was clean, bedding towels, bathroom etc. The heater was easy to work and warmed up the room relatively quickly. The only thing missing was a hairdryer which was disappointing.”

“Hotel was great from the staff to the room cleanliness. My hubby is a diamond member and we got upgraded to a queen premium corner room which had a pretty view. It was my birthday and they had a lovely note written for me on the desk. There was also a piece of cake as well! However, the location didn’t seem that convenient for tube access. Most of the places we wanted to go had us always using the Westminster station which was 17-20 minutes away from the hotel. Pimlico station is about 10 min away but it was never an option when we looked up directions. Maybe I’m just used to the NYC subway system where there seems to be entrances everywhere. Side note: This has nothing to do with the hotel, but we were walking back from dinner the first night, maybe 2-3 or so blocks away from the hotel, when some (insert explicit word here) on an e-bike came up from behind and snatched my husbands phone right out of his hand! So even though it is a nice quiet area, please be careful!”

“We have been using DSL for nearly 10 years and are the only place we go for our kitchens and wardrobes. We develop high end flats in SW London and the service we receive from start to finish is top notch. The designer integrates seamlessly with our site team to co-ordinate drawings and surveys. We're always kept up to date with delivery and install dates, the install team are quick and efficient and work with us if there are any unforeseen issues on site. The estate agents use our flats as the benchmark to show other developers what they should be doing to be competitive, and the kitchen is key to that. The quality of the kitchens is so good, I have one in my house!”
