“Stopped for an evening meal before catching our train at Paddington. Good food, good prices. Pizzas were homemade, as were the hand-cut chips. Staff were friendly - would come here again.”

“I travel a lot with work so I use these places a lot. This has been one of the better places I've stayed. Friendly and helpful staff with plenty of local knowledge. Clean and tidy rooms and the bathroom/shower were immaculate”

“Where do I start? Stellar service from start to finish! Clean,warm and comfortable rooms, I wasn’t in a particularly large one, but I was a last minute booking. The ladies who run the operations are superb and very welcoming. The grounds are beautiful and there is also a swimming pool open spring to the end of summer season. It was closed, but it’s beautiful too. Ample parking, a lovely bar and restaurant. I wasn’t the very lucky winner of a slap up vegan English breakfast and whether you’re into that or not, it’s was delicious. Never been to a hotel in southern UK that’s staff have as much charm and character as the beautiful listed building they manage and maintain. Will be back and my service dog (who was being a rude diva) was even given her own vegan breakfast ♥️ I will return again and again when I am in Surrey. That’s the place to stay for sure! Thank you all at Box Hill for turning my frown upside down!”

“Fabulous hotel in a great location. Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. Rooms are large and very tidy, clean and have everything you need. It is refreshing to see that this hotel still provides daily room service, rooms tidied and beds remade, makings topped up. It just shows how this customer service can still be provided. Some of the mainstream hotel providers like travelodge and Premier should take a good look at the service provided by this hotel. It is still possible and goes a long way to making customers feel comfortable and valued. Thank you Shendish Manor”

“Stayed here on business and I noticed straight away was the staff were so attentive and very welcoming. Really nice after a long day travelling! Very relaxing bar area lined in tall glass windows with a very creative bookcase. I didn’t eat there but the restaurant did look good. My room was lovely and comfortable. Clean for sure with a bath and shower which was welcome. Definitely somewhere I would stay again not just for the hotel but also the convenience of being able to walk and eat at very close by places.”

“Nice hotel, staff are friendly. Room was nice. Did the job perfectly. Was travelling for work for an event. Car park is free at the rear of the hotel which is great - however not many spaces, so I would just be mindful that you could turn up and not have a space on the day. I drove from the midlands and didn’t realise it was a small car park estimate 15-20 spaces max (for the hotel) So if do use this hotel, just check for parking in the area just encase their no spaces. Other than this, it is a great hotel and I would recommend.”

“I spent a spa day here andcould not be more pleased with my experience. All the staff were very attentive and efficient. I enjoyed my facial and hot stone massage and would like to thank Selina very much. We could choose a lunch from the bar menu to a value of £25 if we didn’t want to choose from the set spa day lunch menu. I went with my daughter for my 60th Birthday treat and would recommend. Such a relaxing place.”

“Afternoon tea was excellent. Freshly prepared and delicious. There was more than enough for two persons, I would have loved to have eaten every scrap. The chef presented the array of food in person and he was a delightful gentleman. He explained the variety of sandwiches, scones, cakes and fancy nibbles. Certainly worth every penny.”

“I had a very positive experience staying at LSE Bankside in London. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always did their best to assist with any requests, which made the stay feel welcoming. I particularly appreciated the availability of a luggage storage room, provided free of charge for guests. The room itself had everything necessary for a short stay and a comfortable night’s sleep. It was tidy and pleasantly quiet, which I valued after a busy day in the city. The only drawback was that the furniture felt rather dated and could benefit from an upgrade, but this did not take away from the overall comfort of the stay.”

“Absolutely love this place!!!! Definitely the best bar and/or restaurant I've been to in Eton and Windsor! I have been here so many times now with so many people. The staff are always wonderful, it is honestly up there with the best service you could probably get anywhere. They are always so accommodating. I have even turned up there with a party of 17 people and they have managed to accommodate us at short notice! The cocktails are delicious and so is the food. I would recommend the "Eton mess" cocktail, it is both delicious and beautiful. The bar itself is also so beautiful and chilled. I would recommend it as a place for a date as it is quite romantic. The staff are so friendly and so happy all the time, and the owner is also there often and is also so welcoming! Says a lot about a place! I go there often and will continue to go there every time I'm in Windsor and Eton and now all my friends and family make a point of going there too :)”

“I don’t do spare much and this was amazing . Was given to me for a present and finally got to use it , so glad I didn’t waste it Treatment - was amazing and the lady Jess L was so kind and informative. Being a plus size body makes me anxious when getting naked and in this kind of environment. However she made me feel good in myself and massaged me wonderfully. We used the stone message chairs and they are so comfortable and getting a lovely lunch at the end and using the pool and other facilities definitely will be coming back ! And recommend to anyone. Also to made it better my mum couldn’t have a certain treatment so getting a complementary drink was super kind”

“Pizza Hut never disappoints. The pizzas are always hot, fresh, and full of flavour. Delivery is usually on time, and the menu has great variety for everyone. A solid choice for a quick and satisfying meal.”

“Positives Very good value (In October). Massive estate, excellent area. Swimming pool water was very warm and child friendly. Fruit at breakfast was superb - best prunes I have ever eaten. Free fruit offered outside of breakfast in one wing of the hotel. Neutral / noteworthy. My room was very far away from the rest of the hotel. "Deluxe" room was slightly odd with staircase and no bath tub. Negatives Cooked breakfast wasn't all that. I didn't enjoy the cooked breakfast my sister also didn't finish hers. I expected better. Pool closed too early resulting in a surge of people using it use on Saturday night, please open till 22:00 not 19:00.”

“Just had a fantastic stay at the Best Western Swiss Cottage hotel. Our room was fabulous, high ceilings, loads of room to move about and everything you need as if you were at home. The staff were great, a big shout out to Erika, Beatria and Tashala on reception for being so friendly and making our stay a memorable one. Staff in the breakfast room were also amazing and worked so hard. Breakfast itself was the best hotel breakfast we have had. We stayed 2 nights for concerts at the Roundhouse, so easy to get to the venue and around London. The underground a few steps from the hotel and bus stops are around the corner. We felt very safe here and everything was on the doorstep. We can't praise this hotel and the staff enough, we will be back. Thank you Best Western.”

“I stayed here for 2 nights in a single room, shared bathroom and it was an amazing experience. The room has everything you need, the best part was they had a universal outlet plug so I did not need to purchase a London converter. Everything was clean and maintained very well. The staff are very friendly and help with any thing you need. It's a great location, short walks to the tube/metro and bus stations to get anywhere in the city. Definitely recommend!”

“Great cheap bed for the night. The room was small with just enough room to get around the bed but it was comfortable, clean and warm. It only had a ceiling mounted Aircon unit but as the room was small it did manage to heat it up. The bed was very comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. My room had an ensuite and everything worked as it should though the shower slider rail was wobbly and needed fixing. I would definitely stay here again.”

“A beautiful townhouse in a very upmarket part of London, (only a few streets away from the Beckhams, Jimmy Paige and Elton John). Staff were very friendly. Fantastic value for money. Some rooms have a shared WC and separate shower room which were immaculate. Housekeeping replaced our towels daily. The only downside for me was the noise from the road and the police sirens due to the nearby Notting Hill police station, so I would recommend a rear facing room if possible. Despite the road noise I slept like a log as I was so tired from sightseeing. An absolute bargain and I would return again in a heartbeat!!”

“We had a pleasant 2 months stay at Aisiki North Finchley. Pro: host was very pleasant and replied in timely manner, code door lock, fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable and clean beds and beddings, cosy living area with access to Sky channels on smartTV, located in the heart of homely North Finchley and surrounded by nice shops, supermarkets, halal and asians grocery stores, nearby bus stops and walkable distance to a Northern Line tube station. Cons: No lift and steep staircase (but we were made aware of it)”
