I’d put it off for months as it’s hard to get time off through the week with work but this was so convenient for me and everything was efficient and smooth. Thanks to Dr Aride for her reassurance through the process and also for making the time available.”

He gave me wonderful tablets and massage cream to heal up my bones for my back pain and I greatly appreciate him helping me get better. Thank you for everything you have done Dr Adris Lemar. “Potential Problems When Reducing and Discontinuing Neuroleptics Note: The following two sections are an excerpt translated by Markus Kaufmann (member of the expert committee) from Breggin 2013 (pp. 119 ff.). Dr. Peter Breggin is an American psychiatrist with extensive experience in reducing and discontinuing psychotropic medications. There is currently very little literature on this topic, particularly regarding the criteria for distinguishing between discontinuation symptoms and symptoms of the underlying psychiatric illness. "Any psychotropic drug can produce withdrawal or discontinuation symptoms. This occurs partly because the brain adapts to the psychotropic drug and is left in an abnormally compensated state when the dose of a medication is reduced or the medication is discontinued." ``` The following symptoms may occur when reducing and discontinuing neuroleptics: 1. Psychotic symptoms may occur during reduction and discontinuation as a result of changes in brain metabolism. They cannot always be reliably distinguished from the original psychotic disorder. They usually develop within days of the reduction and generally improve after 2–3 weeks. 2. Emotional lability or instability (such as anxiety, restlessness, paranoid reactions, depression, irritability, aggression, and increased energy). These also usually develop within days or weeks after reducing or discontinuing the medication. 3. Sleep disturbances can be distressing and contribute to instability. 4. Movement disorders (such as muscle stiffness, tremors, involuntary movements of the face, lips, jaw, tongue, arms, wrists, hands, fingers, legs, knees, toes, neck, shoulders, hips, restlessness) can, in rare cases, be pronounced and associated with restlessness and anxiety. 5. Cognitive impairments such as difficulty concentrating, attention deficit, forgetfulness, and distractibility. 6. Gastrointestinal problems such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and abdominal pain. 7. Other physical symptoms such as flu-like symptoms including malaise, sweating, muscle cramps, paresthesia, rapid heartbeat, increased pain sensitivity, headaches, dizziness, and high blood pressure. The extent of these symptoms is significantly influenced by the size of the reduction step. Therefore, it is crucial to proceed slowly and with small reduction steps. Psychotropic medications are far, far more dangerous than the doctors who prescribe them would ever admit. I firmly believe that most people would never use psychotropic medications if they knew how dangerous they are, and I also believe that most doctors would stop prescribing them if they had any idea how dangerous they are. In 2003, the FDA added a warning about the increased risk of stroke to the U.S. prescribing information for risperidone. The same warning followed in 2004 for olanzapine and in 2005 for aripiprazole. Mood stabilizers are anticonvulsants that do not stabilize mood, but suppress emotional responses by sedating and calming people. Psychiatrists have never precisely defined this term. It's no surprise that doctors believe anticonvulsants work for mania, since anything that sedates people helps with mania. All information is provided without guarantee. This is simply meant to be constructive criticism that might help someone.”

I just joined this GP a year ago as I moved in Uxbridge. Receptionist are very friendly and helpful. Over the time me and my wife spoke with receptionist and GP so many times regarding us and our little 6 months old son. The service we have received so far is beyond our expectations. They always ready to help as much as they can from their side. Very happy with all staffs, services and care. I saw Dr Shaikh last time and spoke with Dr Garsin last. And of course Dr Sharma is very very good. And want to say Thank You to all the team.”

“My loved one was an inpatient at LH for 4 months in 2023. Cherrywood Ward. Our experience of the hospital was very good. The nurses, reception, doctors are all approachable and friendly. This place is really to sort the right medication out. It was our first experience of a psychiatric hospital and a huge shock. I made a point of chatting to any patients and staff on visits, it must be a difficult job and some patients unfortunately have no family at all. Kindness costs nothing. There is a large communal area on each ward, with an outdoor courtyard. Bedrooms are small with en suite. There are occupational therapy groups for patients like walking group, music group, breakfast club, self care group, chicken group, exercise group which are all simple ideas but very enjoyable. Do not be afraid to keep calling the ward for updates. Doctors usually call back with updates. They are very short staffed due to funding but I found them to be approachable and helpful. There is a wonderful family support lady called Kat who can find out any information you need if you call her. Also a monthly CPA meeting you are invited to attend. We stayed in close contact with our loved one by phone and we visited and took them out for a few hours when well enough and also home leave for two nights. Nearest pub for lunch is The Wharf , nice reasonably priced little cafe called Lizzie’s and also the country park is good. We also took our loved one for a haircut and beauty treatments to Guys n Dolls round the corner who were absolutely amazing with her when she was so unwell.”

Benefits are great too as they put an accent on your wellbeing, with access to free gyms, health assessments and healthcare scheme. “Had an appointment at 3/4/2022 at 3:30pm, got there around 3:06pm since I had nothing better to do and there was a queue of maybe 4-5 families which was no surprise since I was early but by the time it was my turn to test I'd say I was pretty much on time with my appointment. It was a quick mouth swab when I thought they would put it up your nose but I'm not complaining. I suggest if you don't want to wait in queue too long take the earliest appointment you can get and make the appointment ahead of time and if you need to find somewhere to park drive to sainsburys carpark and its probably a 2-5 minute walk from there to the health center because there is very rarely any parking spaces left on the street, and you would be lucky to park near it if ever. Overall, quick once you get in the building and friendly staff when I went in for my pcr test. EDIT!!!!! Also cannot stress this enough but people saying you don't need the app because they will send your results by email.. Not always the case because I needed a test done 24 hours before my flight and anxiously waited for my email until I checked my app around 9:45pm. Turns out my results were not sent to me by email but through the app but I think I do remember the lady saying the results can be checked on the app.”

Was a bit anxious given the reviews, but after dropping him off at the door at the rear of the building, I pulled into the parking lot opposite. Sent him a message saying where I was parked, got out to faff about with some stuff in the boot and, by the time I was closing the boot, he was walking back towards me, all done!
