“Had a really good experience with Olsi after having my hair get increasingly blonde, damaged, and flat by another local salon when I was actually trying to go back towards my natural, slightly darker colour, so I decided to try here based upon their reviews. He took time to talk me through the highlights I wanted, using a colour chart and ensuring I understood the result and agreed the approach, and didn't feel like part of a production-line high volume generic salon. “I ordered a set breakfast here, they were happy to substitute mushrooms for beans; it arrived quickly and was well cooked and a generous size. The service was good, the only sad thing was that the place was empty apart from me. Recommend this place if you want a good, honest breakfast, the rest of the menu looks pretty extensive too.”

“Mouth reconstruction involving braces then 7 crowns and 2 implants. Dr Simin has been amazing. It has been a long journey but the care and the attention I received has been incredible. Not to mention how good my new mouth looks. Dr Simin considered every option in deciding the best course of action for my teeth and always having my financial constraints in mind. I am very happy with the outcome. I cannot recommend this dentist enough.”

“Charming restaurant less than 5 mins from Surbiton Rail station and opposite Sainsbury’s. The old Post Office building has been repurposed as a restaurant, fitted out in a sustainable way with genuine Turkish designs and materials. My server had a Masters in restaurant design so was knowledgeable and happy to point out some of the features. The coffee was excellent and the Nutella and sea-salt cookie was something I’d never tasted before and had a light and delicate texture. Good access for wheelchairs and my go to coffee stop in Surbiton when on foot or a motorcycle or bicycle with parking right outside the door.”

“Family favourite! We've been coming here for years and the food has always been good. We highly recommend the Lamb Shank Jalfrezi and the Tandoori King Prawn. But all the food is very good. We really appreciate that since the pandemic they haven't raised their prices and the food is still great quality. The service is always very good and thoughtful too. “Used to come here occasionally as a child growing up in the 70s/80s. Moved back to Surbiton with my own family several years ago and was so happy to see they were still going strong. Have been coming here ever since. Dishes taste fantastic, quality is consistent, prices are very reasonable, preparation is fast and staff are friendly. Tried other Chinese takeaways in the area but none of them come close. A real jewel. Bravo, guys.”

“Dropped my car off at the required time and it was straight in for MOT. That normally never happens, so this was a great start. The 2 technicians Jamie and Kasun were brilliant and worked like a well oiled machine together (pardon the pun). I received a call from Roy the branch manager to update me and what I required for the car to pass the MOT. I signed off on the work to be done and was picking up the car by 5:30pm that evening. What an absolutely superb experience from the boys at Halfords Autocentre. Roy and his team were courteous, friendly and professional on all contacts. Well done to the team and this gave me so much confidence that I am booked in for a full service next week. Cheers fellas.”

“The joy of the railway station pub is an almost universally appreciated joy. And while The Surbiton Flyer isn’t technically a station pub, categorised in my mind by having a departures screen somewhere inside so you can see how many more pints you can squeeze in before running for your train, it’s proximity to Surbiton station certainly brings it close. An old Barclays bank, bought and converted by Fullers 1995, it’s a cosy boozer with a clean interior. Since it’s refurb some 4 odd years ago(?), it’s brought with it that All-Bar-One aesthetic, weirdly keeping in theme with grand Bank entrances, hotel lobbies and railway station concourses. It’s just a bit posh basically, but a sort of faux-poshness, filled with people waiting. Drinks-wise, it’s Fullers and your usual Fullers pub beers. Nice to see (another, since Fullers are only down the road) local brewery here with Big Smoke Electric Eye, although on this occasion, it was a little soapy. In my previous visits here, the London Pride has always been excellent - I should’ve known better. I haven’t had the food here but it does get good reviews. While I love to get proper unsurprising pub grub, it’s hard around this particular one. Next door you have Surbiton Kebabs & Fried Chicken - who I love, not only for the chicken/wraps, but when a car reversed into their shop a few years back, they chose to rebuild it exactly as it looked before and always has. The station itself has more history than the pub. It is “considered one of the finest modernist stations in Great Britain”, is Grade II listed, built in 1937, and designed by Scottish architect James Robb Scott (also designed Waterloo and Richmond among others). It would be nice if they cleaned it once in a while, although it is set for a huge refurb so maybe they can find time to push a broom around. The station was used in Harry Potter if you’re into that too. Overall, if you’re in the area and you find yourself with some time before getting on a train, make sure you’re by the kebab shop entrance, grab a pint, and some wings for the journey. A compact Fullers pub perfect to relax in while whittling down the minutes.”

“We had a lovely time here at Harts. Food and drinks were great. Good portion sizes, the food was hot and the staff were very attentive. The only criticism would be that the spotlights are incredibly bright and harsh but that of course is no fault of the staff! Just maybe something that could be looked at,”

“A fantastic garage where they won't rip you off. The head went on my car last year and I know the labour cost I was charged didn't reflect the actual number of hours spent sorting it out. I couldn't recommend them more highly. (No I haven't been paid for this review!)”

“Top place for good quality and wide range of products. Ofcourse somewhat pricey but actually almost comparable in many cases to M&S and Sainsbury's. Free parking also helps. They have a fresh fish counter and that does some good fish too”

“I had my 40th here and it was excellent! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The spaces are a good size, I was allowed to decorate the area and the food was brought out on time and was delicious. I would certainly recommend The Elm if you are looking to mark an occasion, or even for a meal as it was so good. Thanks all!”
