Unique atmosphere in Richmond

“We came here for dinner via the Fork. Place is close to Richmond station with free parking nearby after 4:30pm. We got the poppadum. We had the pani puri, sheekh kebab and paneer tikka. All were great with a kick to it. For the main we got Lamb saag and chicken curry with naan and rice. The food was quite spicy and flavourful. Bill was around £55 which is reasonable.”

We had our reunion lunch here a couple of weeks ago. we have been doing this for a number of years and the food is always fantastic, service quick and friendly and always a great atmosphere . How they can offer, to a large group, such a great range of meals to such a high standard is beyond me. We have already booked for next year !”

The food was phenomenal: fresh, tasty, and beautifully cooked.especially butter chicken was so good the sauce was creamy and full of that classic Indian flavor I’ll definitely be trying more from their menu.”

Watch out when they bring out the sizzling beef and its smoke haha but beside that the dishes are tasty, the service attentive and the room not too loud. The Menu A Standard is perfect selection. The soup and the curry were delicious. The Ice cream is not very exciting though. Conveniently located less than 10 min walk from Richmond station.”

“Beautiful little cafe nestled near Kew Gardens Train station! Obviously a popular pitstop for locals and tourists. We enjoyed a lovely coffee and croissant here last week and we were really impressed.”

“The best Breakfast in the area!! Proper English Breakfast, delicate coffee, super friendly staff, not noisy inside at all... That is what you need for a hangover :) Seriously: the owner/boss is a great guy and it is not only my opinion, the staff says the same too and maybe this is the recipe for Cappuccino success. Always smiling Klaudia and Asia will help you with delicious choices, been there so many times, just love it! Kids friendly place too, no matter how busy the place is. “I recently visited Artisan Coffee, just a short 5-minute walk from Putney Station, and had such a lovely experience! There’s an Italian barista there who truly stands out – she is warm, hospitable, and has such a kind, welcoming presence. She makes excellent coffee with great attention to detail, and her patience and friendly attitude toward every customer really make the café feel special. It’s rare to find someone so professional yet genuinely caring. Highly recommend this spot for both the amazing coffee and the wonderful service!”

“We had our Work Christmas Lunch on 18/12/2025, the Christmas menu was AMAZING! Plenty of food on the plate, we ordered some extra trimmings, which wasn't necessarily needed but definitely happy we had them as the food was sooo good we just could stop eating! Service was friendly and the whole lunch was a success. All my team commented afterwards how great the Christmas Lunch was this year. Thank you very much!”

I was greeted so warmly by everyone downstairs and then Alex upstairs was just great - friendly, really efficient without rushing anyone, knew all about the menu, suggested I download the app and explained the fab rewards (I received free dough balls!). It was incredibly busy and he was calm throughout - every table sparkling clean after guests had gone - it was all under control! Food was fab, piping hot and fresh. Really great! Thank you Alex!”

During our visit, we ordered the beef dupbap, salmon poke, and tuna poke, and each dish was a standout. The beef dupbap was hearty and satisfying, with tender beef layered over perfectly cooked rice, elevated by the café’s signature wasabi soybean sauce that added a subtle, savory kick. The salmon and tuna poke bowls were equally impressive, with fresh, vibrant ingredients harmonized by a spicy mayonnaise dressing that brought just the right amount of heat and creaminess. Every bite felt balanced and thoughtfully prepared, showcasing the kitchen’s knack for blending bold flavors with comfort. To top it all off, we sipped on their latte, which was surprisingly excellent—smooth, well-balanced, and the perfect complement to the meal. The inviting ambiance and friendly service only added to the experience, making Café Macarong a must-visit for anyone craving comforting yet elevated dishes near Kew Gardens. “A decent pub, I liked it. Probably because of its proximity to the park, the pub was crowded on Sunday, with as many dogs as people. I was also with my dog, so the atmosphere was pleasant. My friends and I sat by the fireplace with a fire, and in the hall, there was a faint smell of smoke, and the dull crackling of logs in the fire could be heard. The Sunday roast was delicious. I liked the half chicken, though the potatoes weren't tasty. The cider is the best you can get, Aspal. A wonderful Sunday before Christmas. I recommend that you visit here too.”

“We had the most fantastic service from all of the team especially Usha who was wonderful in helping with a few challenges as our daughter and partner were delayed in traffic. They transformed what could have been a stressful time into a lovely family occasion. Food quality was lovely and a perfect spacious setting and atmosphere to have a large group together. “Hidden Gem In Putney I recently visited The Arab Boy and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere of the pub is cozy and welcoming, a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. I ordered the fish and chips, and it was simply divine – crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, just as it should be. To complement my meal, I enjoyed a pint of Guinness, which was perfectly poured and served cold. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that everything was to my liking. Whether you’re looking for a great spot to relax with friends or just want to enjoy some delicious British classics, The Arab Boy is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area – you won’t be disappointed!”

“A neighbourhood pub, that we have frequented over the years. I love the homely, cosy interior, and the staff are very lovely. Often just to have a drink. But we recently discovered that they also do pretty good food. Portion sizes for the dishes are also generous. They provide snacks to nibble on as well like toasted bread and butter, and veggie crisps. But one thing to note is that this is not somewhere you go if you are in a hurry. It looks like they have a very small crew. The food service is very slow, we were waiting for about an hour before our main courses showed up, even when the pub was not even full, and we had come in off-peak times.”

“A diamond in Richmond. It's an old house based hotel renieuwd. Loverly employees how makes everything possible and make you feel home. Good room, nice breakfast en lovely dinner in the restaurant as well as the cafeteria. Delicious lins soup. They still working on the hotel. They're making it nicer, if this is possible.”
