Had to come back as my black color was changing to dark blue in the sun and they didn’t let me leave again until we were sure they don’t do that anymore, free of charge. “A lovely little place that we visit every other Wednesday (unless Man Utd or City are on TV), where a gang of local musicians gather fortnightly to rehearse. The drinks are way cheaper than the pubs, and it's welcoming, comfortable, warm and friendly. If you're into snooker, there's a table upstairs too.”

“Just bought a pair of opal earrings to match a pendant bought as a Xmas present. Owners couldn't have been more helpful, really take their time in showing you options and letting you make your own mind up. Even had some new earring backs to ensure they can't be lost. Highly recommended, and will continue to use. Even witnessed the owner 'repair' a carriage clock that just needed the connections cleaning FOC, another shop would have easily charged for the same 'repair'”

“Wonderful service from a great team. I had my timing belt replaced along with a new water pump. The price I was quoted was the price I paid and I have much more confidence in the car now. This is a great service centre with a real family run feel to it. Good, old fashioned honest service and no gimmicks or extras. Really nice to do business with these people.”

“It's tasty, properly baked pizza. Definitely a cut above your usual doughy, bland tasting takeaway pizza, and I much prefer it to the over-sweetened taste of places such as Domino's. Delivery was quick, and the food was still hot. Garlic bread was great, too!”

“It's always a briliant store but it's a pity that Miles the frantic, frenetic, frenzied manager has left. It is many months since I wrote the above as it is late August and just been to Aldi without my glasses with £4 in my pocket. I just needed a couple of things and I got to the SS till and scanned the items, I was 25p short so asked one of the Aldi people to remove an item. "No need" he said, he then reached into a jar pulled the 25p and put it in the machine. 5 stars for this person and all the Aldi people.”

“I used to live in Glossop, at a time when the Raj Gourmet brought something completely new to local curries. Every time I go back I hope it won't have lost its magic. All the curries here are completely different, so I can never decide and usually go for two very different dishes. Tonight I went for prawn pathia, chicken moglai, mushroom rice, and paratha. The pathia has lots of slivers of green chillis - eat them and it's deliciously vindaloo strength, leave them and it' a really good, rich sweet & sour curry. The moglai is smooth, indulgent, and nutty without the annoying sweetness of lots of similar curries. (The portions are still huge, so I'll be eating this tomorrow too). How they've managed to sustain the quality without increasing the prices, I don't know, but I love this place.”
