“Visited here for the 1st time recently. Really nicely designed, relaxing and staff lovely and friendly. Food was great, had breakfast accompanied by 3 sisters, we all agreed, we'd revisit soon.”
“Had to try this after a recommendation and I wasn't disappointed. The lad on the front was cheerful and made me feel welcome. so I chose the mix of chicken and lamb shawarma in a fresh fluffy tasty samoon bread with salad and it was perfect. And only a fiver as well Then chose the halloumi tray with chips and salad including hummus, pickled cabbage and other healthy fresh veg tables . The halloumi is the best I have ever had no joke. Absolutely fabulous food and great value would highly recommend and will be back.”
“Tasty breakfast served quickly with a smile”
“Do not think does food. Fabulous pub all the same”
“Amazing English atmosphere, and very lovely and hospital owners , they offered complimentary delicious sandwiches and shared the recipe, and free tasting of beverages after showing interest in the cider. They had a great rule of no phones or laptops which encourages real interactions. Definitely recommended :)”
“Excellent little pub and staff are brilliant food is beautiful ❤️”
“Great little pub, friendly staff and good selection of drinks”
“This pub is run by 2 honest good people , who don’t tolerate drugs on the premises , and bad behaviour , since owning the pub they have worked hard to make customers feel safe/welcome , and decent honest people all say the same”
“Really good beer here and a great venue. I recommend it if you are in the area. The drinks aren't cheap but I've never thought they were over priced.”

“Visited many times & never had a bad experience. Lovely little play corner for children. Also had an afternoon tea baby shower for a friend not long ago, after the new owners took over. They did a fantastic job & having the place to ourselves worked perfectly. Thank you!”
“Love the decor and vibe in the Rose & Monkey. Ambience is just right as can’t stand brightly lit pubs. Always great music playing in the background. Handy for both Northern Quarter and Ancoats.”
“Myself and my daughter love the Korean culture so when we came across this place it was perfect. The chicken is halal which is very ideal for muslims. Food was so delicious and staff are so friendly. We have been here few times now.”

“Called in yesterday for some food — it was busy but we managed to get a table. The food was incredible; you don’t find proper pub grub like that very often anymore. The staff were friendly and welcoming too. We’ll definitely be back.”
“I popped into Sykes for the first time today and had a lovely breakfast with butchers sausages and bacon, perfectly cooked eggs and all the trimmings. The coffee was delish! The welcome was genuine and service friendly, as always from Mancunians. A great place to grab a quality bite to eat, recommended.”
“Great full English breakfast. Really close to stockport shopping centre so in a great location. Amazing service as well. Definitely pop by again”
“Great venue for stand up comedy, not so big that you lose the feeling of being part of the show. Good slope on the seating so the view from further back is still ok. Comfy seats, easy to get in and out, lots of parking nearby.”
“First time in here very good service breakfast well presented and yummy.”
“Strangely closed looking pub near the train station with a couple of ales on and some good crisps (Inc lancashire sauce!) The beer we had was top quality and this place is well worth a visit for the ales and plane spotting”
