“What a fabulous venue. Arriving at this huge grade 2 listed building (dead easy to reach with free parking) I felt somewhat in awe. The mill is massive, an incredible and a fascinating glimpse of history. It's a bit of a hike and a climb (although there is a lift) to get to the cinema. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The screen is fine and the projection as good as anywhere. The seats are comfortable and there is leg room. It was terrific to watch two superb old Hammer Horror films. The area has been crying out for such a cinema. I will certainly visit again. .”

“Great little cinema which is made especially enjoyable by the little introduction that the staff do on each film, giving a little insight into how it was made, or other films the director has made. The place is welcoming to everyone, and when my partner and I went to watch The Handmaiden, there were a wide variety of people in the audience, which is always good to see.”

“We had our son's 11th birthday party here recently, and it was a great experience - it's such good value, especially the bowling time, the arcade games and the food is lovely. Aleina in particular was a wonderful host who took really good care of us all. This is the third year in a row we've had birthday parties at the Light, and it never disappoints!”

“Great venue for stand up comedy, not so big that you lose the feeling of being part of the show. Good slope on the seating so the view from further back is still ok. Comfy seats, easy to get in and out, lots of parking nearby.”

“We celebrated our son’s 10th birthday in a private screen room at Odeon Chelmsford. The Manager and staff were very friendly and ensured that we had a good time. We really appreciate that they allowed to bring in our own party food. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the party and had great fun cheering and booing together in the movie climax. We would highly recommend a private screen hire to celebrate kids birthday.”

“Nice modern cinema based in Bolton's indoor market shopping centre. Plenty of parking in the multistory next door. We called during the day and virtually had it ho ourselves. Staff are nice and friendly. Very clean inside. Nice clean toilets. There's a bar serving alcohol and tea/coffee as well as snacks. A nice seating area for waiting before you go in.”

“Fantastic cinema experience. My mate booked online for us to watch M:I - TFR in The Lounge - at a cinema that was equidistant between where we both live (circa 40 mins each). It was well worth the extended trip. Excellent value. Food and drink are prepped and in place by your seats upon arrival. Seats are super comfy and screen was a very good size. But the real highlight was the wonderful staff member Chloe who looked after me. A very nice member of staff came over to us and asked if we would like the heating on because he saw I was still wearing my coat. It was a very kind offer and I felt very comfortable after I’d warmed up. Nice to see a business going above and beyond. “Went on Saturday night to see a unpopular film. it was a great experience, as zero queues, quick to get snacks. great seat positioning (right in middle of screen). the screen was great, sound awesome. Clean. and even the "cheaper" seats were comfortable with lots of leg room for a 6ft man.”

“Former Rileys snooker and pool hall. Abandoned since 2012. Very smelly, extremely mouldy, lots of dead pigeons. Some tables still playable on ground floor but basement flooded. Bring own lighting as no electricity. Interesting original features of old cinema still visible.”
