“An absolute godsend! We spent six weeks with Ronald McDonald after our son was born three months early. Rather than battle an hour of traffic every day, we got the opportunity to stay on site near him. My only complaints are about the other guests not cleaning up after themselves or spilling their food across the shared fridge. But I cannot fault the charity for the behaviour of its guests. I'll always be thankful to the team for making us feel welcome!”

“Amazing place to stay! I just want to give a big shout out to rajaa for her hospitality, she went above and beyond to ensure we had a smooth check in. The room was incredible and the amenities were perfect. I would however like to note the guest lift is out of use which was a small issue but rajaa was amazing enough to guide us to the staff lift whenever we needed it. “YHA Manchester is an example of how a good hostel doesn't have to cost a lot. Large, bright and airy room for four people. The beds were solid, the only thing missing was curtains on the bunk beds for more privacy, but that's a minor detail. The bathroom was a good size, clean and looked new. The common areas are large and beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location near a train and tram station is great for a city the size of Manchester. The hostel has a view of part of the river canal, and having breakfast with this view was a bonus. I would definitely stay at this hostel again”

“Clean, comfortable, and easily walkable to/from just about anything you would want to do in the city centre. Restaurant made my life easier due to the convenience. Decently priced, considering all this! I would especially like to recognize manager Sandra for being so warm and accommodating! This really makes someone feel welcome when they are far from home. :)”

He greeted me with a genuine smile and handled the check-in process quickly and professionally. Even though I had a few special requests, he was patient, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of without any hassle. What really stood out to me was how friendly and approachable he was throughout my stay. Whether I needed directions, restaurant suggestions, or help with a small issue in my room, Levon was always available and eager to help. He has a calm, polite manner that instantly puts you at ease. It's clear that he takes pride in his work and cares about the guest experience. My stay felt smooth and stress-free. He’s a real asset to the hotel, and I’ll definitely return — partly because of the great service I received at the front desk.”

“A very pleasant place to stay in a lovely location. I was looking for a proper holiday location within close driving distance of Tameside and Manchester, Christie's hospital in order to look after an elderly relative. I looked for a proper hotel with a dining room, a bar proper cooked food and somewhere dog friendly. I could not have found anywhere better. My elderly step-mum needed modified meals; small portions and easy-to-swallow foods. The chef and all the staff bent over backwards to make sure she was catered for - room service was no trouble. Only wish I'd had time to enjoy The Stables. I'll definitely be back.”

“Very good hostel with friendly and helpful staff. The place was clean and comfortable overall. Breakfast was included, which was a big plus – no need to rush anywhere in the morning. I stayed in a 4-bed room, and all the necessary facilities were inside. There is a small locker next to the bed, but you need to have your own padlock. The staff were always responsive and welcoming. There is also a fridge where you can store your own food. The only downside was that the mattresses were not very comfortable. Overall, a pleasant stay!”

“My wife booked this place and looking at the reviews, I was a bit dubious about staying there. We ended up having a great stay. Ok the hotel is a little dated but the room was clean and quiet. The receptionist was lovely and I thank her very much for her help. Easy access via the number 59 bus into and out of the city centre. Had dinner the first night in the adjacent pub and spoke to a lovely couple that said it has recently been taken over and things are a improving.. had a great stay and would recommend. Thanks.”

“My washer stopped spinning properly. Craig fixed my problem over the phone with the first question he asked.... "What is in it? “ It cost him his call-out fee but gained him much appreciation and respect, as well as a future customer if I ever truly need his services. This guy is a gem of a find; a bit of integrity goes a long way these days. And btw, the answer was, "a bathmat". So don't be trying to spin your bathmats folks! (And yes, I know the drum needs to be balanced, but I've done it many times before and it has been fine. Definitely won't be doing it again though.) Thanks Craig!”

“Fresh Fibres operative was very polite, arrived promptly following a phone call saying that he was on his way, and helped me to move some heavy items to facilitate the cleaning of my spare bedroom, and hall, stairs and landing carpets. The carpets now look and smell much better - almost as new for my 25 year old carpet, and I am really pleased with the quality of the company's work and service at a cost that I felt was reasonable and competitive. No hesitation in giving a 5☆ rating”

“Had a gold valet done on my car. Aaron arrived on time and I found him to be very professional and friendly. Car was cleaned inside and out and all seats were shampooed. The car was absolutely spotless. Cannot fault the service provided. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using again.”
