“Great place to stop overnight before flight from Manchester Airport. Very friendly, great pub food, easy parking nearby and plenty of choices in the town for breakfast. Nice to be able to walk into Tattoo Park. Will definitely aim to stay in the future.”

“My grandsons blessing was held in the Nuns Room, it was a perfect venue. Recently refurbished it had charm and character and was beautifully presented. Our buffet was delicious, we made our choice on Mathews advice, it was perfect. The staff are all so flexible. They are polite and friendly , nothing is too much trouble. A perfect venue !! Thank you for making our day so special x”

“Yesterday I was walking with my baby and really needed somewhere to stop, feed and change my baby, and just to re charge as it was a stressful morning. I had dropped my car off, at a garage, in a different town miles from home. I entered the hotel and was kindly greeted by a lovely lady, who could clearly see I needed just a little help to get sorted. This lady was so kind and caring so I asked her name. The lady replied. “Irene”. I thanked her greatly for how warm and inviting she was towards me. I would like to thank you once again. Irene, you was a Rae of sunshine towards my baby and I. It was a pleasure to meet you and what a lovely lady you are! Georgia Hartley.”

I did not attend but Google assumed that I had and listed my review for the Gait inn at Millington I'm error. So this is to correct it. No fault of the Gate which I will attend next time I am in their location. I'm sure it's fine but I only post about my experience not Google errors.”

“I recently stayed at Premier Inn and had a fantastic experience, made even better by one of the staff members, Mia. From the moment I arrived, Mia stood out with her warm and friendly approach. She was incredibly kind, polite, and always went out of her way to help — nothing was ever too much trouble. Every time I passed by reception, Mia greeted me and other guests with a genuine smile and a positive attitude that really made the hotel feel welcoming. “We stayed in room 214, room was clean a bit on the small side,bedding and towels were clean, bed was firm and the pillows were very firm,not much of a view, we had 4 pidgeons keep in us company outside the window,we didn’t get a good nights sleep because the thermostat which was next to the bed kept clicking all night, quite loudly so we didn’t get much sleep. The soap hadn’t been re filled in the shower, we asked at reception and it was filled, staff very pleasant but overall well worth the money”

“Six of us ladies of a certain age celebrated an 80th birthday, and had a lovely afternoon. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. The food was delicious. Thank you all so much for helping to make it so special.”

“Great location. Friendly greetings from barge owners, cyclists and walkers along the canal path into Whaley Bridge and New Mills. The views were spectacular even on a dull day. The Navigation Inn was welcoming, and dog friendly, but best if you keep them off the seating as the path can be muddy. The landlord looked after the beer well and there was plenty of choice. We both had the pie of the day and we're very happy with our choice. Lots of meat and super chips and the cauliflower and carrots were cooked to perfection. The gravy was superb ***** 5 stars. Our young waitress was very friendly and polite and overall the evening was a lovely experience. On our second night I had Bali chicken which again contained lots of meat with stir fried veg in a sweet sticky sauce, and my husband had fish and chips. Again the beer was good. If you enjoy walking or cycling while looking at gorgeous scenery then this is definitely worth a stay although we were in our motorhome. It's free to stay if you inform the landlord if your vehicle reg and go in the pub for a few drinks or a meal. Believe me it's worth it.”

“Lovely hotel, top notch leisure facilities. Rooms could be a bit larger (king size bed but not a lot of room after that), and wine pricy at the bar. Breakfast was fantastic, very tasty, wish I could have e had two each day but can't eat that much :-). Helpful and friendly staff, could t do enough to help, thanks folks”

“I booked this hotel on behalf of my family members visiting my wife and I from Ireland. They stayed two nights and were pleased with everything the hotel provided them. The room was very clean with comfortable beds for two ladies and one child.”

“10 min walk to Trafford Centre. 5 min walk to pub next door. Not a scenic part of the world. Views are A-roads or vacant plots. Clean, large rooms. Modern feel. Ensuite with soap/shampoo. Breakfast was part of the deal and this was selection of help yourself hot and cold items. There is a bar in the hotel. The hotel does serve food until 9.30pm and pizzas are 24hrs room service. Car park gets busy - £5 for one night. Arrive early to get a space.”

“Kirstie is a god send. Our pup is under her care for one day every week and he absolutely loves going. We have sent him to other day cares before and he didn't react well to going back, but he gets excited to arrive at Hotel 4 Hounds (which says a lot). He has slept over on numerous occasions and we always receive updates, photos and videos of how he is. We totally trust that our pup is being well looked after and couldn't recommend more!”

“Stayed in a nearby cottage and popped in here to watch the Rugby and have food and drinks. The lady behind the bar was fantastic brining us fresh drinks whenever we were running dry. They were on a reduced menu at the time for food but still enough to choose and was all good. Locals in the pub were all very nice too.”

“I booked day of and was a bit anxious about arriving and gaining access but there is a receptionist until 11p. There is a code to enter after hours but it wasn't provided with the booking information and I didn't reach anyone at reception when I called in. The building is a bit old but the rooms are arranged around a courtyard, so it's quite peaceful. I had a twin bed and the room had a sink, shower, toilet ensuite, as well as a desk with computer monitor. Great value for a one night stay, passing through Manchester! Continental breakfast was included in the morning, I believe available 7-9. Not sure what options there are if you can't walk stairs, there seemed to be a lot of steps around. Plenty of free parking available around the building on their property.”

“Had an excellent stay. The bedroom was very spacious with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was great with thick towels. We enjoyed a fabulous meal in the restaurant with great service and a superb breakfast the following morning. All the staff were very lovely, helpful and friendly.”

“I met a friend for a catch up and sat on the couches to the left of reception near the stairs to the gym. It was quiet enough for us to speak and even when a small group of adults sat on the couch behind us, we could speak without raising our voices. It was very comfortable and we were able to get coffee's from the onsite Starbucks and bring them over to our seating. Very friendly staff, suitable for our meeting and pleasant environment.”

“Apartment was clean, spacious and all the kitchen utensils and appliances were very handy. Property was easily accessible and a great location with shops and takeaways close by and for getting straight onto the motorway. We had a very comfortable sleep and would definitely choose to stay here in the future. The free street parking right next to the property was a plus. All round excellent stay and great value for money.”

“Family 2 adults 2 children (ages1 and 9 ) on arrival we requested a couple of things , the staff went above and beyond to help and made it the most wonderful arrival for the children. We stayed in 1 bedroom apartment with sofa bed which 9 year old loved . Spacious clean plenty of storage , having the kitchen area , complete with washer dryer was a game changer , couple of washing tablets supplied so was able to leave without worrying about doing all the washing when we got home . Being able to use the swimming pool from 6am until 10pm and the gym open all hours with no added extra cost and towels supplied , was absolutely amazing and they’re really well presented. Car park right on the doorstep along with arndale a couple of minutes walk at the most . Overall a most relaxed memorable weekend will definitely use them again and really well priced . Thank you to the whole team from Sarah and family !”

“I attended the Autumn Spa Day with my Mum today, which was a birthday gift. We had an absolutely lovely time, the facilities are wonderful, loved the various sauna/steam rooms etc available. The outdoor thermal pool was fabulous too. We also joined in with an aqua aerobics class which was on at the time and we really enjoyed it. To finish off we had a 50 minute treatment which was incredible, the girls were wonderful who did the treatments and made sure we were always happy & comfortable. The staff on the spa reception were also really helpful and happy to help us. Although the changing rooms were a little tired and in need on a facelift, it didn’t affect our visit whatsoever! We would definitely return!”

“Love this place. Ned and Bella are so well looked after and the staff are so lovely. Definitely recommend. Was impressed when I saw a horse sized goat munching on their lawn when I collected the pups! A fab kennels where you know your pets will be cared for.”
