βReally good when you get the place to yourself so relaxingβ
βGreat facilities steam room and sauna are nice and clean. However mixed changing rooms is a big concern where is all the safety gone for our kidsβ
βI am a member of the gym mainly using the one at Sports Village Heywwod for combat classes.the only issue is that instructors for these classes are very scarce. Which is clearly why so many gyms are not using the trade marked Les Mills classes which are the best classes. Yesterday I had booked a paddleboard taster session which was brilliant. The instructor was Sandro and he was very good very encouraging and helpful. We moan about the lack of facilities in the area but if people looked at this web site and used the facilities they would realise it's not that bad!β
βGood parking, good pitch and clean facilitiesβ
βA friendly, accessible and clean gym with plenty of equipment, a nice pool and spa area and a good range of classes with good, motivated instructors. The changing area is big with lots of showers and space to get changed. I usually go early in the morning before work or on weekends and itβs a nice amount of busy. Not too packed but also not dead.β
βIβve been visiting most mornings and so far, so good. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, the swimming pool is excellent, and the gym staff are friendly and helpful. Changing rooms are decent, and The Cove next door is great for a sauna after a workout. The only small downside is the car park, which can get busy at peak times, although early mornings are fine. Overall, a great gym and pool with everything you need.β
βCanβt recommend Shay Trainor highly enough. I had a running injury a few months ago and went to see a physio in London who was unable to diagnose the issue but thought it was related to my hip. I was left unsure how to progress. I went to see Shay today who has assessed it as a piriformis syndrome and given me some exercises to work on. I am so relieved to have a diagnosis and also to have received expert advice on how to get back into running and fitness. A huge thank you to Shay. Your help is greatly appreciated.β
βGreat gym, spacious and clean with friendly staff. Ladies only area is fantastic, plenty of machines and huge fans keeping the room cool even on a 25 degree day. Sauna, steam room, sanarium and hydro pool were all very clean and not too busy (I went at 1-3pm) everything working well/hot enough inside the rooms. I usually use Whitefield but I was in the area and was really happy I chose to go here in the end. Will definitely be back again soon.β
βI missed coming here. We booked to come for 11 o clock but surprisingly got here 40 min earlier. We were allowed to go early. Changing room was as I remember. It was clean. Toilets were somewhat clean. Can't fault the kids pool and jacuzzi tub. We couldn't sadly stay longer to use the big pool as we came early so needed to leave early. We had fantastic 40 min which flew by.β
βExcellent value for money- Β£3.15 per child, for an hour at the Inflatable fun swim.. half the price of a regular swim at my local leisure centreβ
βI came here today for a dance exhibition i didn't see. Much of it but what i did see was fine toilets fine to well the ones just of Reception considering it was a Sunday and extremely busy you've done yourselves proud0β
βAll the members of staff are so friendly and helpful. thank youβ
βI can only go off my own experiences when reviewing here and have found Salford Community Leisure excellent value for money. I have the monthly corporate all inclusive package, which gives you full access to all of the classes, gyms and pools across the Salford area. Some of the gyms are in better condition than others, but for what you pay and for what you get, you are getting a really good deal. The staff and instructors I've found all incredibly friendly and helpful. There's a great range of gym classes at all times of the day, evenings and weekends. You can book over the phone, on their booking system and also on their app. My only criticism is like I mentioned earlier, where some of the gyms are in better condition than others, but that is sadly out of SCL's control due to Tory central government cuts over the past 12 years, meaning budgets are tight. I believe there are plans for all of the gyms to eventually be redeveloped or refurbished, but obviously these things take time.β
βYOU GET FINED IF YOU DON'T ENTER YOUR CAR REG AT RECEPTION We got a parking fine for not entering our reg at reception, and a member of staff was amazing and got it revoked in 5 mins flat over the phone. Not impressed with the fine or the fact that they hide the parking notices - very sus - but it's a private company, not the pool staff. The centre itself is dated, yes, but it's a great public pool nonetheless. Has amazing baby change for our son and they even put pool toys and floats out for some sessions. Our little water baby loves it here and so does daddy.β
βI absolutely love the aquafit classes! I will be honest though, not all instructors close the privacy curtain so that's very off putting or I would attend every class. I had a call today offering me some gym induction sessions so I can use my membership to its fullest. Jake is a brilliant sometimes grumpy but always Yoda like swimming Instructor!β
βMy experience here since I came back after illness have been wonderful. I can't say enough about the staff who act so professionally, they are welcoming, pleasant, helpful and they make your time at the facility that more enjoyable. I am very impressed by the cleanness off the place and how great the staff are at ensuring the covid threat is reduced by their awareness and actions to combat this virus. I have no difficulty in promoting this place and would encourage people to come here, to a safe friendly environment . It will do you the world of good and your health will be greatly improved no matter what age you are.β
βMy daughter has been attending SwimStars at Walkden for a while now. She has grown in confidence so much as she was really anxious when in the water. I want to say a massive thank you to her swim instructor, Mark who has been amazing with her from the start. He has had time and patience with her each week and helped her along the way to build her water confidence. The support and encouragement he has given my daughter has been amazing. My daughter can now swim and will hopefully achieve even more skills now she has moved to the next level.β
