“Wasn’t our first choice however we were really lucky out first choice was closed for refurbishment because La Foglia is a gem. Stopped for lunch with the family and service was polite and efficient, food was amazingly good and the price was incredibly reasonable.”

“This was an amazing pub/restaurant /hotel that definitely gets 5 stars from me. The hotel rooms above the pub are old world oak beams and quirky with a cozy vibe. The food in the restaurant was top notch. I had the boneless spicy chicken and the pictures say more than I ever could. Very tasty and fantastic quality. The green salad and cherry tomatoes were awesome (I don't usually finish a side salad!!)”

“Martini/The Cottage is a very cozy spot for some Italian food. We’d long been meaning to go in and decided to book in for a table of 6 last night. I like the old building a lot. Low ceilings, nice and warm inside, old architecture meets modern decor. Our food was great. I thought the garlic mushrooms with pancetta and cheese were incredible. Very filling and full of flavour. The veal I had for the main course didn’t disappoint either. Some of the most amazing mashed potatoes I’ve had and some very flavourful meat. I’m very impressed. The prices were very good as well. I expected the final bill to be much more. Lastly, they serve a very good pint of birra moretti in here. We hope to return soon!”

“The Spanish tapas here are absolutely delicious! The cheesecake was so good it completely destroyed my “keep fit” plan—I couldn’t stop myself from devouring it. Every single dish was full of flavor and brought me right back to my time in Spain. The only downside? The basement vibe isn’t the coziest and the chairs weren’t very comfortable. Also, the server accidentally tried to charge us twice—but honestly, the food was so good I almost didn’t care! Plus, the staff are actually Spanish, which made the experience feel even more authentic. Strongly recommend! Just… next time, pretty please let me sit at one of the nice ground floor tables. Gracias!”

“Went Sunday afternoon. Booked for 8 people at 3.30. Very welcoming.friendly staff. Menu was varied, food was very tasty and portions were ample. Never seen Yorkshire puddings so large. My husband and I had a Sunday roast to share and there was really enough for 3 people. Definately recommend.”

“I stayed here with work and could not have been happier. The room was large, very clean, and perfect for the evening and an online meeting the following morning. Breakfast was fantastic with several continental self-service and a good range of freshly cooked options too. The English breakfast was lovely with local bacon and sausage and the portion size was just right. The bar staff were brilliant, allowing smooth check-in and finding me a table for dinner even though they were really busy. There is a relaxed but professional approach by all staff. If you need accommodation or just fancy a delicious evening meal, I can highly recommend The Coach House.”

All of those dishes were very nice but the true standout is the garlic mushroom starter. Something about it is just spectacular... Prices on food and drink are all very reasonable. We took advantage of the £20 for three courses (including Sunday roast) on a Sunday and I think that is great value. Beer garden is nice too.”

You walk into the restaurant and feel as though you've stepped into another world between the abundance of plants, the indoor pond and the intricately carved stunning tables. “6 of us took up 3 rooms and all agreed. Warm, clean and comfortable rooms, and presented to a good standard. Exceptionally helpful and friendly service from staff (especially Billy) and great breakfasts. We had various allergins in our group but all were handled well (Billy pinching his wife's glueten free sausages, buying GF bread and supplying Gorilla tape and glue; not that we ate the last two)Made a refreshing stay away. Any problems were quickly resolved. Thanks, great stay and much appreciated”

“I recently organised to come to Zapato Lounge with my work colleagues last Friday. The atmosphere, food, staff and the overall organisation for a Christmas booking was fantastic. There was someone who is Gluten Free and also a couple of people who are vegetarians and all requests were taken very seriously which was reassuring.
