“We held our Pearl Wedding anniversary celebrations here and the service, food, venue were absolutely fantastic. Beccy and the team work tirelessly to make everyone feel welcome and make everything run smoothly without any hitches. The outdoor area was beautifully set up and decorated tastefully with music and lighting into the evening it was perfect. Could not have asked for a better day.”

“Hired out The Carlton House Club for an evening reception following a church wedding (next door), and the lead-up, and service on the day was amazing! We couldn't and can't fault Josh, Jo and the team. We opted for the carvery option, and had our wedding cake for our pudding option. “Just ordered a take away from this establishment and the staff were available to dicuss my needs. We had a Desi Chicken and Korma Chicken. We found the food had great flavour and chicken was of quality. We will visit and order takeaway again. Thank you to Ash.”

“We stumbled on this amazing restaurant over the weekend and so glad we did! It felt like we'd stepped foot into Spain. The owner was so friendly and welcoming and the food was stunning. The service felt so personal, something you don't find in bigger chain restaurants. There's a large vegetarian/vegan tapas menu as well as meats and fish so plenty to choose from. I would definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone.”

“This is a hidden gem of a pub. You can stay overnight in your campervan, they have electric hook up and WiFi. The owners could not do enough for us, we rang to book and was told they stop serving food at 16:00hrs on a Sunday, but if we were late they would sort us out for food. We arrived an hour after they stopped serving but still welcomed us and let us choose whatever we wanted from the menus and the food was delicious. The locals were very friendly as was the staff/owners who could not do enough for us. We will definitely return when we are back in the area. 10 out of 10.”

“We ordered 3 mega trays for my son’s 6th birthday party, the communication was fantastic with Alan and all our requests were catered for. They were kind enough to allow us to collect the pizzas before their normal opening time. The pizzas were delicious and excellent value for money. The kids and adults alike all enjoyed! “Absolutely incredible dining experience! My partner treated me to a lovely meal here, and I was blown away by the tastes of each meal. All the staff were very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, and when each course was served they tell you exactly what is on your plate. There were various vegetarian selections for my partner, and they catered to this with no problem at all. The cheeseboard we had was a nice addition also. I would definitely like to return and try the wine menu along with the food, there's always next time!”

“Just found out about them recently. Hard enough to find decent sushi place in Bedford. BF Sushi gave me a glimpse of hope. One of the best sushi place in Bedford in my opinion. Freshly prepared, well seasoned sushi rice and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going again.”

“This pub is just perfect for a drink or some good food. The atmosphere is amazing, with a large glass wall allowing you to see through to the brewery where beer is made in house. The food is also very good. There are nice tables to sit in as well. I would definately recommend.”

“Went Sunday afternoon. Booked for 8 people at 3.30. Very welcoming.friendly staff. Menu was varied, food was very tasty and portions were ample. Never seen Yorkshire puddings so large. My husband and I had a Sunday roast to share and there was really enough for 3 people. Definately recommend.”

“There's plenty to say about my experience, we came here for an afternoon tea event and stayed over night. The christmas afternoon tea was lovely, there was a live Singer with a stunning voice and she stayed singing the entire time. A varied selection of delicious and moist mini cakes, scones with jam and clotted cream and sandwiches. Along with practically never ending tea. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, the decoration In the tea room was aesthetic and service was brilliant. Staff was polite and quick for being so busy. Check in to the hotel was quick and simple, the hotel itself was also pleasant decorated. Beds comfy, shower pressure was amazing, warm lights, luxurious toiletries, the nescafe machine was a nice touch along with the classical radio. One small issue was a small patch of mold I'm the bathroom”

“This was an amazing pub/restaurant /hotel that definitely gets 5 stars from me. The hotel rooms above the pub are old world oak beams and quirky with a cozy vibe. The food in the restaurant was top notch. I had the boneless spicy chicken and the pictures say more than I ever could. Very tasty and fantastic quality. The green salad and cherry tomatoes were awesome (I don't usually finish a side salad!!)”

“The Spanish tapas here are absolutely delicious! The cheesecake was so good it completely destroyed my “keep fit” plan—I couldn’t stop myself from devouring it. Every single dish was full of flavor and brought me right back to my time in Spain. The only downside? The basement vibe isn’t the coziest and the chairs weren’t very comfortable. Also, the server accidentally tried to charge us twice—but honestly, the food was so good I almost didn’t care! Plus, the staff are actually Spanish, which made the experience feel even more authentic. Strongly recommend! Just… next time, pretty please let me sit at one of the nice ground floor tables. Gracias!”
