“Moved to the area and heard nothing but great things about this place, visited twice now and you simply must try it. It’s hidden away but some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The customer service is exceptional, the manager is extremely friendly and chatty and provides such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we have chatted both times and he’s lovely. And the food.. 10/10. The nachos are incredible, mains are huge and absolutely delicious. Great variety and plenty of GF/Vegan options. Don’t miss this place, it’s the full package and such a reasonable price. Great Saturday evening atmosphere too. I will absolutely be going back again and again.”

“Visited for Sunday Lunch on 26th May. We did book the week previously, and glad we did as i dont think we would have got a table. Parking is plentiful if you have an earlier booking, but can be busy later on and you may have to park away from pub and short walk in. Plenty of seating outside, especially if weather is warm. I had a pint of San Miguel and my wife had a Malibu and coke, which was £9.20. We were seated at our allotted time and the restaurant was busy but tables not too close and they cater for larger parties. There is a 2 or course option for Sunday lunch, we opted for the 2 courses for £25. I had the topside roast beef and my wife had the chicken. There is an option for Lamb shoulder (i will be having next visit). We were served quickly and the staff are very attentive and friendly. My roast beef was delicious as were the roast potatoes, Yorkshire, the roast parsnips and carrots, were also yummy. The veg came out seperate with peas, beans , leeks and cabbage, all of which were very fresh and cooked to perfection, we asked for extra veg and extra gravy. I think you get a better deal with the Chicken option as you get pigs in blankets and stuffing, which you dont get on the beef?? Anyway, my wife said it was the best roast she has had in more than a decade (high praise indeed). I have to agree, the meal was delicious and the portion generous as i could not finish my beef. We could not fault a thing on the plate, so compliments to the kitchen staff. For desert we had Sticky toffee pudding, i had custard and my wife had extra sauce and butterscotch ice cream. It was light yet scrumptious, and we were both full to bursting. The toilets were lovely and clean and probably the best toilets i have visited in a pub/restaurant for along time. Overall, value for money and the food superb. The service excellent, especially Tim the manager, a lovely kind man. By the way for all 3 courses it is £32. We will be back in the next couple of weeks as this was the best Sunday lunch for miles and miles.”

“One of my most favourite hotels in the whole of England! We make a pilgrimage to this hotel every year due to the most peaceful experience. One year we did the 3 days Christmas stay too! It’s just a beautiful 15th century oak panel building. The great dinning hall is out of this world, as is the service. If you want to feel like a king or queen head here! A fabulous weekend away, beautiful grounds to walk in. Can’t recommend enough.”

“Excellent place. Independent pubs seem to be quite rare now-a-days and this definitely is one. Excellent service an ambience. Great beer really impresses me and a lovely location. Popular indoor/outdoor space and enough parking. I always thought the Loop Road was a local myth but really is a road to where you just were with a great pub half-way round! Perhaps that's what heaven will be like...”

“First visit with the new chef, the food was very good and my husband’s steak was cooked to perfection. Wine selection was good, I had a glass of the Argentinian Malbec which I really enjoyed so of course I had to have a top up. We received a warm friendly welcome from the owner and the bar staff who kindly found us a table as we hadn’t booked. I would recommend booking as the pub was busy which created a good atmosphere. Need to try their Sunday Roast soon.”

“Been there today, will definitely return. Nothing but hospitality from the staff and a warm atmosphere in this restaurant, the food arrived fast and was well prepared, full of rich flavour. I strongly recommend this restaurant for its great food and welcoming people. Truly a hidden gem. Along with the food, you must try the Turkish tea/coffee and the desserts, you will not regret it. The restaurant is very clean and nice atmosphere .”

“Didn't eat there. Had a daytime Disco. Absolutely brilliant. Great for hens, girls out and moms who can't get out at nights... Danced for 4 hours ! Everyone was so friendly and all having fun and singing their lungs out. Parked across the road.”

“Such a lovely stay in this hotel cannot fault it at all. Room was perfect we had booked a standard double and it seemed so much more than that, unsure if we were upgraded but seemed very spacious for a standard. Free standing bath was amazing, had double sinks and a spacious shower too. The spa was lovely it was peaceful and relaxing, staff were very welcoming and polite, had 2 coffees in there which were lovely. Made use of all spa facilities which were in good condition, not overcrowded at all which was nice. Provided robes, slippers and towels in the locker you are given. The hotel was clean and looked so lovely, we had breakfast in the morning which is great value for what you can get, I made good use of the hot drinks machine. Overall amazing hotel, friendly staff, would definitely recommend. Thank you.”

“Open until 11pm. Very handy, well stocked. Shop sells alcohol, tobacco, vapes, sweets, mobile top up. Never seen a empty shelf. Also has the advantage of the amazon lockers at the front and free cash machine. This shop is as modern as a shop can get. Staff polite always and friendly.”

“I'm so pleased this place turned up on my Facebook feed. We decided to go tonight for dinner and we certainly didn't regret it. It's only a short drive from our house, a fifteen minute drive into the countryside is always nice. Lovely looking pub which was quite full in the bar, a good atmosphere. We were served our drinks by a very friendly lady and then we took our seats in the restaurant area. Served again by a very friendly and helpful young lady. We didn't wait long for our starters, which were presented and tasted fantastic. Our mains were just the same. Hardly any wait at all and the presentation was great. Everything was cooked very very well indeed, the portion sizes were generous but not over bearing and the tastes were sensational. We'll definitely be returning, the whole experience was exemplary. “Very welcoming friendly staff, very accommodating. Lovely clean and tidy room which was spacious and had everything you needed, including mini fridge, hairdryer, tv, complimentary tea, coffee etc, also complimentary shower gel/shampoo. On request an iron and table top board are available at no extra charge, was also able to borrow a dish and spoon. Breakfast was not available but there is a sainsbury less than five minutes down the road so easy enough to pick up cereal and milk. There was some scaffolding up on my visit but that was due to solar panels being fitted, also noticed an electric charging point being put in the car park. I stayed for a few days while having renovations done on home. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel.”
