“Stay and play at alf&Co on a Tuesday has honestly been the highlight of our week on maternity leave. Kirby and her team are the nicest friendliest people and the whole atmosphere is so lovely. The variety of toys is excellent and they always make sure there are toys for each age group. Having a hot drink included too is such a nice touch. Could not recommend it more. And being on mapperley top there are loads of places to go for lunch after with the other mums and dads. The shop too is gorgeous and we've bought some lovely toys and clothes that are such great quality. If you want a group to go to with baby/toddlers this one is fab. Don't be nervous about going on your own, you'll make friends. It's so relaxed and everyone is lovely. They also have lots of extras like a photographer some weeks, sleep experts another and a pottery lady for some lovely baby footprint Xmas presents. I'm so sad to be going back to work and will really miss this. Iris has LOVED it! “Soon to be first time parents and the idea of buying travel systems was completely alien but the staff were lovely and talked us through everything we needed to know. They have a huge variety of travel systems and once they'd helped us decide what would be best for us, we had a look upstairs at their furniture. We picked up a Cossatto travel system for cheaper than we'd found anywhere else and they're even storing it for us until we want to pick it up. We didn't even know this place existed and it's very quickly become our go to for anything baby related. Lovely, helpful staff which can't do enough for you! Will definitely be back as and when we need something else, which seems inevitable!”

“This is a huge Next shop that combines both the Next clothing shop and the home shop. In the clothing section there is a large selection of clothing available for men and women, boys and girls of all ages. The home store has a large selection of house hold items that include seating, lighting, bedding and much more. This is a pleasant shop with lots of unique items which can only be found in Next stores.”

“I had the absolute pleasure of bumping into Justine on the shop floor today. She is the absolute pinocle of excellent customer service. I doubled my planned spend, looked at products I wouldn’t and considered and learnt a lot about fashion. Consider getting her to do staff training to other member of staff. She was a magnet to customers asking questions and able to get answers, assisted by John. “Visited today with my four week old son. As I walked in to the store I noticed my son looked a little unwell. Clearly seeing my worry, a lovely member of staff came straight over and asked if we were ok; I told him my son looked a little unwell and he insisted I make myself comfortable in the changing room if he needs a feed, change etc. and take my time. It really put me at ease and comfortable and gave me the time I needed on one of my first trips out with him. I was able to soothe my son and get on with my shopping. The staff were super helpful and were able to find that the item I wanted wasn’t in store, but did an in store purchase to be delivered to my home for me. Definitely will be making sure we pop in on future visits in to Nottingham because the team are just amazing!! Thank you!”

Toys, office supplies, sweets, biscuits and conventional food, this place has everything. There's even a well stocked clothing section that is well priced and the quality of the items is actually surprisingly good.”

“Commendation for Outstanding Kindness and Compassion – John Lewis Partnership Delivery Team On Friday, my 82-year-old father was completing what he proudly called his “final lawn cut of the season” when he unfortunately fell, sustaining significant facial bruising and finding himself unable to get up. Alone and distressed, he called out for help. By remarkable good fortune, two John Lewis Partnership delivery drivers were making a delivery nearby in Mansfield Woodhouse. Upon hearing his calls, they immediately came to his aid — lifting him carefully to his feet, ensuring he was steady, and accompanying him safely back into his home. Their actions were not only quick-thinking but deeply compassionate. These two individuals demonstrated exceptional care, empathy, and professionalism — going far beyond the expectations of their roles to assist an elderly gentleman in real need. As a family, we wish to extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to these outstanding members of the John Lewis team. Their conduct reflects the very highest standards of humanity, integrity, and service that the Partnership is known for. My father is currently recovering in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. We are truly comforted knowing that people like your drivers still exist — willing to step forward, without hesitation, to help a stranger in distress. “Went here the other day. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was good and they had lots of options of clothing. The prices were standard for the average primark. The location is good and accessible. Lots of seasonal decorations like Christmas and Halloween are already in stock and I wanted so many of them.”

“We went to Matalan store in Bulwel in the afternoon. The place was not crowded. We had an excellent customer service. The place is also wheelchair accessible. Another advantage is that this store has a lot parking spaces. It is also near to Bulwel Forest Tram stop (it is about 4 minutes walk). Apart from different types clothes and shoes for all ages groups, the place is well stocked with other household items :kitchen items, bathroom items, storage units, children toys and many more . I would recommend this place.”
