The vegetarian mushroom gnocchi had so many different variety of mushrooms in it. I would like to see more vegetarian options for mains though. Good selection of drinks. Very friendly staff. “Beautiful Sunday lunch - home made and lots of it! Prawn cocktail, beef dinner, chicken dinner, veggie dinner and rhubarb and apple crumble was eaten - all of it so nice! Great service and lovely ambience with the fire on and Halloween decs up. Will recommend to everyone”

“We had a spontaneous visit after the heritage railway and country park, its a nice place and had a kids menu which is always useful for the little people. Food was very nice and we didn't need to wait too long, outside area was packed which means we didn't have to worry about kids disrupting other peoples meals as we stayed inside! Price was generally not too bad, although kids meal could have been a tad cheaper, especially for very small people...!”

“Hi, this is a great family pub.tou can take your kids it's also good for the atmosphere. Darts and pool are still popular, the pub does rub it's own teams if that's what your after. They do have a garden during the summer months and do accept party bookings. All in all a nice typical British pub.”

“I live in Clifton I used to go to one in it went downhill so fast so I went back there the food is amazing quote well not fast service and I ate it all and the staff are lovely it takes a long time to get a nice chip shop I used to travel to Kirkby-in-Ashfield just so now it's save me a few well done keep the good work up although it's not very cheap but you only pay for what you get”

“Visited twice in the last year and had great service both times. First time was late on a Sunday afternoon when I had a flat tyre and they were able to change it for a new one when everywhere else was closed. I went again yesterday after another garage told me I would need two rear tyres as there were nails in both. Quickly found both nails and showed me one hadn’t punctured, then repaired the other, in about 10 mins. They saved me a lot of money that another garage would’ve gladly taken! Fast service, cheap, and friendly.”
