Alone and distressed, he called out for help. By remarkable good fortune, two John Lewis Partnership delivery drivers were making a delivery nearby in Mansfield Woodhouse. Upon hearing his calls, they immediately came to his aid — lifting him carefully to his feet, ensuring he was steady, and accompanying him safely back into his home. Their actions were not only quick-thinking but deeply compassionate. These two individuals demonstrated exceptional care, empathy, and professionalism — going far beyond the expectations of their roles to assist an elderly gentleman in real need. As a family, we wish to extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to these outstanding members of the John Lewis team. Their conduct reflects the very highest standards of humanity, integrity, and service that the Partnership is known for. My father is currently recovering in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. We are truly comforted knowing that people like your drivers still exist — willing to step forward, without hesitation, to help a stranger in distress. “First class service from start to finish. We went to several different places before settling on Wren. The main reason was down to the range of colours and finishes available; it is second to none. This kitchen comprises Infinity Plus Matt Cashmere shaker doors with Autograph Elements Ocean Cypress; all appliances are Zanussi. The showroom staff were friendly, professional, offered advice where needed and nothing was too much trouble. After coming up with the first draft we had a dissenter in the family, so I returned and redesigned everything again. They were more than happy to oblige and didn't even bat an eyelid. We placed the order on our third visit. The kitchen was delivered quickly and on time. We realised that a couple of items were missing once everything was unpacked, so I rang customer services. Both missing items were delivered a couple of days later with absolutely no quibbling. A professional joiner from the local area fitted it for us. He was so impressed with the sheer quality of the units and the fittings that he plans to refurbish his own kitchen using Wren products. He commented frequently on how good everything was. This kitchen was fitted at my dad's house. The end result is fabulous; since the pictures we have finished it off with a bit of tiling and a couple of turquoise bar stools at the island. When my own finances allow, I will definitely be going to Wren for my kitchen. Although we were told that they were on the expensive side, we found the prices to be not too much more than other quotes and we had selected the top range units plus some of the more expensive Autograph Elements features. The range and choice made paying that little bit extra completely worth it. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Wren Kitchens to everyone. They were brilliant from start to finish.”

Ali, who built both the kitchen and bathroom to an incredibly high standard, was very professional and considerate, considering we carried on living in our apartment as the work was being carried out.
