“I never leave reviews really, but honestly I've just ordered a a cheese and bacon meal burger and 2 plain dogs and a side of chips and it was amazing. The burger was of an American diner standard, was absolutely full of meat, sauce and salad, the bun was lovely not soggy at all. The hot dogs were massive and tasty, outrageous portion of chips, shouldn't of ordered a side portion as the amount you get in a meal fed me and my 2 kids. Will definitely order again!”

“Three of us visited and had a range of different foods. Fish, lamb, chicken, vegetables, rice and roti. All very tasty and fresh. Not stodgy or too oily. Nice service from the waiters and waitresses. Really decent bottle of wine. The dining area is very tastefully decked out with a baby grand piano in one area. No one was tinkling the ivories whilst we were there but I bet it makes for a great atmosphere. Sadly, when we were talking to the owner it turns out that they are on notice from the building lease owner so will have to relocate at some point. So... if you want to experience Mewar Haveli you should get yourself booked in.”

“I used to dine in here a few years ago and had my first takeaway this week. WOW, I wish I had come back sooner. The ribs are to die for. Everything I had was delicious and full of flavour (Crispy Chili beef, Salt and Pepper Chicken) and at a very decent price too. I will be back more often now. This place is my new favourite!”

“Can't fault the food or service. The pricing is significantly lower than some of the other venues in the surrounding villages. £23 for a Cheddar Ploughman's platter, Chilli & Rice, and two teas. I feel this would be pushing £30 elsewhere. It's all good.”

“This place is excellent, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff are so lovely and helpful, various members talked me through dishes on the menu and when I asked for recommendations based on my preferences they were highly knowledgeable and accommodating in tweaking the dish. “What a burger, really nice. I had the Mexican burger and my daughter had the buttermilk chicken. You get a really decent size portion of chips too. I admit, burger wasn’t massive but with the chips it was really filling. Comes wrapped in ‘newspaper’ love that and then in a massive box. You get a few warm wet wipes as well. For me, love this as I have a big beard and came in handy. Top marks, will definitely be back”

“Went to chai roti last night for the first time, they were clearly very popular with people coming in and out to collect their food. The man at the counter took time to explain the menu to us telling us they make everything fresh so can adapt our order to our liking spice wise etc. We pre ordered for an hour later as had only popped in for a menu and it was a little early for us to eat. When we went back, the man was just as friendly and very helpful. The food was just as good as the service we had received. The best Indian take away we have had in a very long time. Everything was hot the naans were very soft and the flavours were lovely. We could tell everything had been made fresh and not just reheated as weve had from other takeaway restaurants. We will definitely be back again to try other things on the menu. Thank you for a lovely meal.”

“Wonderful little gem of a cafe that we discovered by chance, friendly atmosphere and the lady who served us could not do enough for us. Lovely range of smoothies, milkshakes and frappes, including what was maybe the best vanilla frappe we’ve ever had! Also has a small range of menu options with the normal light lunch classics such as sandwiches, roasties, jacket potatoes etc, well priced, delicious with well-sized portions. The food was absolutely delicious – it had that comforting, home-cooked feel that’s hard to come by in most cafés. Their cappuccino deserves a special mention – rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The ambience is warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger. Though the staff were clearly busy, they were still attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. The only downside was the strong food smell inside, likely because the kitchen is open to the seating area. There is outdoor seating, which would’ve been a great alternative, but unfortunately it was too cold and windy on the day I visited. Overall, despite that small drawback, I’d highly recommend this place – whether you're looking to relax, catch up on work, or just enjoy a fantastic meal and coffee.”
