“My wife and I and our 1 year old Staffie stayed for one night, I chose the room on the booking app and to be honest it worked out just right. We arrived later than expected and ordered a burger king meal, would of preferred a Chinese though. I'm disabled so not sure what the room offered but on entering the room we found that the bathroom was equipped with disability aids to help getting into the bath, off the toilet and grab rails on the wall, very impressed that they have thought of those who have extra needs to help them. The main room was a good size and the bed unlike others was not as high to get on and off of. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly even with the puppy. The only downside was people walking up and down the corridor at stupid O'clock in the morning laughing and banging which set the puppy off barking and growling at the door. Plenty of parking spaces and a quiet area.”
“Absolutely stunning Venue. Chrissy and Sam have created a beautiful space in this gorgeous setting. The Four Elements Team loved working in the perfectly equipped kitchens to provide our couples with their wedding breakfast and private dinning experience. We highly recommend Pentillie & very much look forward to returning. Lily & The Four Elements Team x”
“My partner booked this as a birthday getaway for me and it couldn’t have been more perfect. A wonderful experience in the most peaceful setting - we stayed in the Wollemia pod and the horses on the field next door kept us company. The whole garden (and pod) is sustainable and eco-friendly which we loved. We made use of the fire pit which was lovely and warm under the stars. We also treated ourselves to massages and both felt so relaxed afterwards. There were other glampers during our stay but the pods are all cleverly laid out so no one bothers anyone. A very highly recommended stay - thank you Dan and Victoria!”
“Just returned from my latest stay with railholiday. Have been visiting for many years and stayed in each of the carriages at St Germans. This trip was a return to Millpool with has one of best views overlooking the Cornish countryside. In all this time the holiday experience has been more than 5 star and Lizzy and Dave continue to be the perfect hosts - not intrusive but always there for help and advice. The carriages are always clean and cosy (even in January) and everything works! I plan on a second visit this year, so thanks for having me… ERIC G (Hertfordshire)”
“We were looking for somewhere very dog friendly and with EV chargers, Kernock Cottages did not disappoint. Our standard poodle Theodore had a great week, the enclosure areas allowed him to run around freely. We used the hot tub every day, superb to watch the sun go down. Very relaxing. Great pub within 15 minutes walk, some nice vegetarian food options. We visited 2 of the dog friendly beaches and did a few walks as we were fortunate to get great weather in April. Highly recommended.”
“We had an amazing night at The Ferry House on Saturday for our works Christmas night out .... atmosphere, food, service and staff were all brilliant and really made our night enjoyable. Proper little pub, warm welcoming , good food and you can hear yourself talk :)”
“What a gem! We spent a few weeks travelling in the UK and this was by far the best b&b we stayed in. Richard and Sarah were so accommodating, and the food was incredible. Sarah even made us a G&T to have in the garden which was extra special. We hope we can return one day!”
“This is an incredibly authentic pub with bucket loads of character (decor, chef and bar staff). The food blows anything from your “usual local pub” out of the water. Had scallops, kind prawns and fish goujons with lovely crusty brown bread. The special beer on tap was a real treat. Atmosphere at 8pm on a Tuesday was quiet and cosy (candle light type vibe) but got lively at 9.30pm when the locals farmers arrived, who were all nice. If you are a city prince or princess this might not be for you…. but in my opinion this is a real hidden gem.”
“We found this place randomly and it was a gem of a find. We were driving around looking for someone to grab a bite and saw the sign on the main road and thought let's have a gander. The front of the pub has lovely flowers in hanging baskets and was pretty. The service at the bar was fast and friendly. We ordered and had drinks in our hands within 5 minutes of walking in. We just ordered cheesy chips but they were top notch. No complaints from us here. The outside area was lovely to sit out in the sun.”
“I'm reviewing based on both the Aqua spa and the afternoon tea! The spa is great. Very reasonable priced, given more than enough time to enjoy the facilities. They don't overcrowd the spa so that you aren't able to enjoy it. Lots of different areas to experience and relax in. Access to the pool which is great. Changing rooms are lovely. Offer lockers, costume dryers & hair dryers. Showers also have soap. Overall - great. Afternoon tea (best I've had). Sandwiches were lovely, scones were the best I had ever tasted. Perfect combination of fluffy but with a little crunch. I'm sure the jam was home made? Perfectly sweet and I don't like jam so that says a lot! Carrot cake pot was gorgeous, little caramel tort was delicious and the white chocolate/lemon fancie was stunning!! Presentation was great, customer service was very good and the servers kept our water and tea topped up!! Only points would be, probably another sandwhich? A lot more sweet then savoury options! I wasn't to keen on the rocky road but that's a preference I believe!! I've been twice now to do both and will be back again.”
“Visited here as part of the Discovery Project women's retreat. Loved every second. Recommend it wholeheartedly. The yurt was lovely. The peacocks and ducks were so cute. Hot tub was nice too! Food was delicious!! All vegan and gluten free. A dreamy place to be.”
“Nice friendly and well situated BnB, great place just outside of town . Within walking distance to the nearest pub”
“We didn't stay here, but passed through for a pint and lunch and it's a wonderfully cosy pub with a friendly atmosphere and friendly service. The food we had was also delicious. Well worth a visit!”
“Beautiful views of the Cornish countryside. Visited for a friend's wedding. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, tidy and well furnished. As a guest there is access to the pools and sauna. I enjoyed a quiet morning swim. It is a very popular golf course, although not what I came for. Highly recommended for events, a weekend stay, the Health Club or to enjoy the high quality golf course. I didn't check out the spa on this occasion. Next time!”
“After arriving at the crooked inn me and my partner was welcomed by a lovley young lady who showed us to our room after telling us where breakfast would be in the morning. And told us the restaurant was still open and as soon as we are ready to pop back and she would take our orders. Absolutely wonderful food. Will certainly go back again”
“Lovely food And very friendly staff definitely be going again soon”
