“Really decent kebab. Have eaten here a few times and this was the best visit to date. Only criticism is the seating. One huge round table in the middle seems a bizarre use of the space to me, think it would work better with more small tables perhaps?”

“The Notso Sunday Roast is well worth a try. 'Family' sharing platter was plentiful and excellent value. Classic sides support a trio of meats, all very well cooked and very tasty. We weren't surprised to hear that next week (and the last for 2024) is nearly sold out. If you are thinking about it, get booking, you won't be disappointed. Well done Charlie and Team, hope to see it return for November '25.”

“As an avid sushi enthusiast, I love trying all sushi including the awful stuff at tesco to the counters at Sainsbury's and the high end restaurants. This place truly is a gem in terms of pricing and quality. So great it's local adding to a low diverse of options in Bognor. So tasty, fresh, very well packed and presented. Rice is always perfect too. Hope they will continue to grow and offering a wider menu selection. Seeing more options of platters and fried options would be brilliant.”

“Lovely little cosy place, we went on a cold day so decided to avoid sitting in the garden. The food was superb, quice is a must if you enjoy that kind of thing and the cake was very fresh, fluffy and light. Good selection of pastries and good service, music is mellow and not too loud. Most of the noise is the talking of others or the coffee machines.”

“Delightful place to visit while charging the car round the corner! Came for breakfast, the sausage and bacon frittata and the mushroom bubble and squeak were both delicious. “We missed our ferry by 5 minutes and stumbled across this pizza place round the corner while we waited for the next one – what a find! One of the best pizzas we’ve ever had. Fresh, tasty, and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff too. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re on the island.”

“We love Bar Aroma; just knowing we’ll be there lifts our spirits, whether it’s for our morning coffee or a breakfast of excellent proportions and flavour. Everything is delicious with an Italian flair: the coffee, the quality of the desserts, the seasoning of the food, and you can even find Italian products if that’s your thing. What we enjoy most is the good energy from the staff—they make us feel welcome and at home. They’re the kind of team that motivates you to come back; they remember your name, what you like and what you don’t. It’s clear they do everything with love and passion, and that’s always appreciated when receiving good service. They’re pet-friendly, organise activities with local artists, and you can also book them for important events like Christmas dinner. There are lovely details all around the place, and there are extra services that are much appreciated, like a place to hang your coat and self-service water. The atmosphere is visually pleasing, with photos and touches of Italy. They sell alcohol too :) after all, it’s a bar, hehe. We’re so happy to have places like this in Portsmouth.”

He arrived on time with fresh, beautifully presented sushi, I tried to pay with his cashless machine but the reception was not great,so I paid via direct deposit as he drove away! “Went with the family for brunch, called in the morning to confirm if they served halal food and they managed to reserve a table for 8 of us with no ease. When we arrived the table was already set up and they were expecting us and we were shown to our table immediately. We were greeted very warmly and all of the staff were very friendly and attentive. With so many of us sometimes you find that it’s harder for staff to adhere to all needs at restaurants however it wasn’t the case here and we couldn’t fault them at all. They put glasses and a jug of water on the table with no hesitation as soon as we had arrived. The food was amazing, we all had something from the Mediterranean menu and my daughter enjoyed her pancakes from the kids menu. Would highly recommend their Shakshouka with added Turkish sausage (sucuk) on the side served with the turkish bread (YUMMY!!!). Shout out to Anwar, he came over to the table and spoke to all of us, even gave us some recommendations on where to go for our short stay. We went around 10am and the restaurant was steady but upon leaving about an hour or so later, it was buzzing and full and I am not surprised because the establishment is well run, nice relaxed atmosphere and the food is 10/10. Note: Although there are Halal food options, there is pork/alcohol served too.”

“Went today for the first time and it didn't disappoint! Was so busy, makes sense though. Very nice coffee, I had an iced Pistachio latte, loveeeed it. Breakfast was delicious, I had a Honey Halloumi French toast and my partner had some Sourdough with poached eggs, bacon and beans. Both absolute delicious. Lovely staff, attentive, friendly. Nice vibes. Would definitely come back!”

Most importantly the food has an authentic Italian taste and is deliciously good. Portion sizes are generous and if anything in my opinion underpriced, certainly reasonable. “We had three large party platters delivered to our house for a party we were hosting. Neil in the office, went above and beyond to organise and deliver to our home which was outside of their normal delivery radius. The party platters were absolutely amazing! They were delivered in bamboo plates that I was able to transfer directly to my table and the presentation was beautiful. The sushi itself was amazing, my guests absolutely loved it. 10 out of 10 on every front from service to delivery to food, cannot recommend them enough!”

“Had a really lovely, relaxed lunch here. Food was tasty, well cooked and reasonably priced. Service was great - friendly and attentive without being overbearing. 4 stars for atmosphere may be a bit unfair as we went at a quiet time with only one other customer, so difficult to rate, but we were glad it was quiet so we could talk and background music was at a pleasant volume. Would add a star for the fact this place was actually open and serving food at 2.30 on a saturday afternoon when everywhere else around had closed their kitchens! Would happily return.”
