“5 Stars. Sunday Lunch was delicious and the portion was generous. Their secret is a short menu done really really well. You can tell everything served is cooked in house. The staff were brilliant and delivered excellent service. Thanks we had a nice afternoon well done.”
“Really enjoyable first visit to Katie's. This place was packed from opening on a Sunday morning so I would recommend trying to book! The menu is music themed which was a nice touch and quite different from anything else I've been to in the Portsmouth area. The food is good quality, it's not a greasy spoon by any means! Everything comes in good portions and tastes great.”
“Service from Mia was excellent - really welcoming and attentive throughout. She even wrote us a card to celebrate our engagement. Thank you. Food and cocktails were delicious too, but the beautiful venue and fantastic service were the things that stood out the most.”
“Great spot with both downstairs and upstairs seating. Food was top notch, including the kids food. Allergens / intolerances are well catered for with options for vegan/non-gluten and allegens listed on menu/boards.”

“What a wonderful welcome at this delightful country pub! We had walked miles and were enormously hungry. The food was plentiful and delicious and the lady who served us could not do enough. Don't hesitate if you're passing.”
“We just stopped by after a long journey to grab some food and we had a lovely time! Really kind staff, massive portions for reasonable prices and a good range of outdoor seating options too! Really recommend this pub!”
“Absolutely top notch cafe/bar. If you ever visit Lee-on-the-Solent you must visit here. It gets a little busy so best to book a table. Brunch is a real treat. Dog friendly. Nice friendly staff with great customer service.”
“Popped in here for a quick bite for lunch and couldn’t recommend it enough! Staff are so warming and friendly , food was gorgeous, Ella behind the bar was particularly helpful and such a lovely girl! Will be back again!;)))”
“I have stopped there 50 times and never thought about writing anything. Absolutely best craft beers hands down. Friendly staff and they sell my favourite Cheese snacks with truffle.”
“A lovely little craft ale place, good selection of beer and cider and a nice, friendly crowd.”
“What great little pub/cafe. We had a great time. Thank you”
“A really nice, friendly Mediterranean restaurant offering really good food and excellent service. I called in here en route to Southampton for my daughter's birthday primarily because of the good reviews here on Google. I can honestly say that the reviews are accurate. The whitebait, calamari and prawns we perfectly cooked and my steak was as expertly cooked as any I've ever had outside of London. The service was excellent and our host, Bethany, made us and most importantly my daughter feel very welcome on her birthday. We'll certainly return if we're ever in the area again!”
“Absolutely fantastic food, service and atmosphere. All our party enjoyed their food, ranging from succulent steaks and juicy burgers. Des in the kitchen is fabulous. The chocolate cake is beyond delicious. We will be back soon.”
“Absolutely loved this place, it was so cosy and the staff were amazing. The food came out quickly, tasted delicious and was presented so nicely. Definitely recommend and will return soon!”
“This restaurant is no less than amazing. The food is excellent and the host was excellent at making the right recommendations for our spicy needs. Two lamb rogan Josh’s one very mild and one very spicy both thoroughly enjoyed. The lamb was very tender and cooked perfectly. The staff working in the restaurant were very customer experience oriented and if we lived on Hayling Island, we would dine in here every week. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant. The food is truly wonderful.”
“Myself and my brother went here yesterday for a coffee and cake. So glad we did, lovely coffee and even better cake all at a fair price. I will be going here again soon.”
“First time we been in visiting our family and what a lovely friend traditional pub loved it”

“Amazing taphouse. If I owned and ran a place serving drinks, I would want it to be like this. I love spending time here. Great selection of beers from near and far, people behind the bar are great, wonderful atmosphere. Patrons are all chilled and so nice.”
“Fantastic club with a great atmosphere and brilliant snooker tables.”
“What an absolute gem of a place ! Stopped off here while on a visit to the island it was recommended by the owner of the chocolate shop ..... a fellow biker . We was so glad we took his advice as the atmosphere, the food , the staff everything was spot on The food was huge potions and very good value with quality products. We had the breakfast witch was around £12 and worth every penny . I had the burger and has it was burger night it was only £10 was huge and I struggled to finsh it We came back on the evening too after bike night but unfortunately they had just stopped serving food”
“Historic Pub, a must visit when in Southsea. This is a rare unspoilt original English Pub, with some much local history on display around the walls of the pub. A stunning Courtyard Garden to relax ,away from the busy city life. Real Ales, and lots of local events throughout the year.”
“Fav spot The Merchant house. One of the Best Burgers in Pompey with a fantastic selection of Beer!”
“Incredible food, beautiful drinks, wonderful atmosphere and excellent service from staff!”
“My first visit. Sunday lunchtime. Charming host, very helpful with suggestions from the Tapas menu. Food wad delivered quite promptly and was all totally delicious. We had cocktails not alcohol and they were pretty and very nice. Atmosphere was a quiet Sunday lunch for us rather than a busy evening or weekend which is their usual vibe. We were very happy with a bit of peace and calm. We had pre booked a table which was easy to do online.”
“Gem of a pub! Great food, lovely service.”
“My first time at this pub. Great service, especially from the older guy with the beard. Very knowledgeable. The food was lovely too. We wanted something small-ish, so we ordered the Steak frites for lunch, which was £11, and we all really enjoyed it. The cheese sauce was particularly good. Nice atmosphere.”
“Visiting Portsmouth for 3 nights and decided to try the Sunday Roast based on the Google reviews. Food was delicious! 2 adults + 11 y.o. shared the Gov’nors Roast (beef, chicken and pork plus all the sides) plus and additional side of veggies. Bettered cooked perfectly - cooked through and not mush. Everything was seasoned but not salty too. The beef and pork were our favorites so we ordered another Regular portion of beef. Only complaint is that the portion of cauliflower cheese and pigs in blanket were very small (we only got one). Otherwise everything was fantastic and we would recommend this to anyone!”
