“Travelled for work, fantastic quiet spot just outside of reading. Old characterful building. Rooms pleasantly modernised, particularly new/modern bathroom. Room spotless/clean. WiFi fast for working if required. Lady who served breakfast provides a friendly start to the day, all staff in fact very welcoming and helpful. Food in restaurant is good, flavourful and a varied selection. Tea/coffee/water in rooms restocked daily. If in the area I would definitely stay again.”

“The whole stay was great and very relaxing. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, with a beautiful view. The spa was beautiful and spotless, with excellent facilities — a large indoor pool, several jacuzzis, steam rooms, saunas, and showers. The massage was amazing, although the jets in the big indoor/outdoor jacuzzi weren’t working during our visit. We also dined at the Michelin-starred restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience — delicious food and excellent service. I would suggest organizing guest arrivals a bit better, as parking is quite far from the hotel entrance, which can be uncomfortable with luggage. Also, it would be great if the hotel offered guests a jacket or cover-up for walking outside to the spa in winter, since you have to go outdoors in your bathrobe. Overall, a beautiful hotel and a very relaxing experience!”

“A great bass to be in Reading. All the facilities you would need when staying for a few days, better than a hotel and cheaper. Staff are great, especially Charlotte on recent. She is bubbly, friendly and personable and gives a bright welcome no matter what time it is!”

“This hotel is lovely, sited in the middle of the lovely small town of Henley. We stayed two nights and the staff were fabulous. Special thanks to Daniella and Sahara for looking after us so well. The hotel room was large, with load of hangers in the wardrobe, great bedside tables and a super comfy armchair. The bathroom was clean and large, with lots of surfaces for us to unpack our toiletries to. Henley itself is great. We strolled up the street from the hotel”

“Even if you’re not a rower, this is a remarkable find – wonderful location, gorgeous old club, very spacious, comfortable, and bright room. And if you are a rower, the memorabilia is amazing and a drink on the deck watching the crews go by is a blast. It’s like being invited to stay at the Vatican for an evening.”

“I stayed here for a whole year. The manager and staff are friendly. The location is 5 minutes away from the center. The apartment, furniture, kitchen and everything is up to date. And, there’s a cleaning staff that comes ones a week.”

“I have lived at the cavalry for a while now and do not have a bad thing to say about it, The apartment was handed over in a really high standard and with the team onsite it gives you a lot of peace of mind with the bonus of it being very pet friendly too. The location is also great, very good for walks and easily commutable to local towns Bevan the Residents Service Manager is very accommodating and always willing to help with anything you need, him and his team keep everything running and looking to a great standard.”

“Our golden retriever Ella is a regular daycare visitor and this year we tried the doggy hotel facilities for the first time. It gave us peace of mind as we knew she will be comfortable knowing all staff and environment, and she absolutely loved it, I don't think she was very impressed when we turned up to pick her up 5 days later, she wanted to carry on with the fun! We had a couple of updates on how she is getting on which was lovely to have. And you can see what your pup is up to during the days on Instagram account. Would definitely recommend this over regular kennels!”

“We took a party of 47 oldies and volunteers for a day trip to Henley on 11 June - a river boat trip along the Henley regatta course and on to the Baskerville Arms in Shiplake for a wonderful lunch and a relaxing afternoon in their beautiful pub garden before the coach trip back home to Farnham. Graham and Gill were so helpful in advance of our visit - creating a special menu and endeavouring to meet specific needs. And on the day all food was served in good time and efficiently by a team of happy and willing staff with everybody getting what they had advanced ordered. So many positive comments from our oldies - they want to go back next year!! Graham also ensured that the coach could park right outside the pub making life so much easier for everyone. Thank you for a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️++ service and meal.”

“We had a great room with nice and high ceilings. Towels, Tea / Coffee and fridge all provided. Super comfortable beds. Breakfast had to be pre-booked before 8pm but it was exceptional, the chef's service and food was perfect. Actually had one of my best hot chocolates ever! We had dinner the night before really large list of options fully catered for veggies and vegans which was great to see. Would recommend staying here and having some food too. Not much around for convenience shops so stop on the way in for what you may need.”
