“We went for an open day. Viewing the facilities which include a gym, swimming pool, croquet lawn, restaurants - it’s a fabulous setting in the river. The open day gives you a chance to see what you can have for a yearly membership. You can also book the venue for weddings and/or parties . It’s a beautiful venue”

“We came for afternoon tea today with my girlfriends. This was my second visit for afternoon tea. The food is delicious! The sandwiches are filled well and very tasty, The scones were fluffy and light. The desserts delectable. This really is a hidden gem for afternoon tea. I often have afternoon tea in London and this is definitely at that standard or better! Fabulous service. The staff are polite, helpful and really make this a 5 star experience. We will definitely be visiting more, especially as I now know that I can bring my dog in the Bar area and have afternoon tea or a meal there. Full of praise for a well executed 5 star service.”

“Brilliant little find on the way back up north from the coast; lovley menu with items you won't find in the average pub. Food was fantastic, the pork rolled roast being a total hit with me .. this would be our regular if we weren't 3hrs away ..”

“I play the Sandford Springs Golf course at least once a month, and after having done that for three years, feel I'm best placed to write this review - excellent course and people The crew in the pro shop, Elloitt, Jasmine and Daniel are so helpful even when they are massively busy. First class Always eat & drink there after a round, and the food is excellent and the lovely smile from Jayne is a delight to come in to, especially on those typical British wet days. Green-keepers keep the course open all year, and love the challenge of the three distinctly different 9 hole courses. Absolutely no negatives, love the course and recommend that if you're in travelling distance, come and play here.”

The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the hotel's location is perfect for exploring the city. Our room is clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The breakfast is delicious and good value, though we wish we could stay along time here . We'll definitely stay longe as needed !".”

“A rare find - an 'individual' pub that is not part of a chain but run exactly how the owner wants. Howard is an exceptional licensee - one who brews his own beer on the premises. If you are fortunate, you will be there when one of his 'Secret Brewery' beers are available. If not there are always two other brews excellently kept. Good food, good beers and good atmosphere. What more could anyone want?”

“Thanks to Susan and Simon for a friendly welcome and very comfortable stay in their beautiful home. We slept in spacious ‘Willow’ on the top floor, a large room which was really clean and well-appointed - fantastic large bed with quality bedding, lovely big sofa and a great en-suite with both bath and shower. We really appreciated the big fan too as it was hot when we stayed. Chaddleworth has a glorious garden and we really enjoyed our breakfast outside and a stroll amongst the charming flower beds and veg patches. I loved the homemade marmalade - delicious! We stayed in August 2020 at the height of new Covid-19 protocols and we felt that Susan and Simon did everything possible to meet all regulations whilst still offering a warm welcome.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful stay , it is beautifully decorated thorough out, very peaceful. Extremely comfortable. We also got treated to breakfast, which gave an extra touch of home from home. We were visiting for my sisters big birthday party, which was a stones throw away. It’s a little gem, and now we’ve found it we’re hoping to use it each visit. We took our little doggy too. Who also love the peace and fantastic walks around the estate, highly recommend this coach house excellent on every level. Thank you Diane x”

“Lindy and Simon are very friendly and helpfull, and always busy. Lovely house, the Wing is. The garden is nice, very relaxing. From around the farm you have wonderfull views on the Chiltern hills. WPF is also a good starting point for walks in the area. And the dogs on the farm are really kind to children.”

“Stayed in Christmas cottage for one night as we had dinner at the Fat Duck. Perfect location for that as it’s just at the rear of the Hinds Head. Really cute cottage. Small but perfect for couples. Denise was so kind and friendly - what a welcome! Cottage has everything you need, including a well stocked fridge for breakfast the next day. IMO reasonably priced for what you get and what you’re about to fork out for dinner!”

“Lovely clean guest house in a great location for local and amenities . It has an added bonus of free car parking. The Silverdale Guest House is run by a family who seem to take great attention to make your stay a pleasurable one . I wouldn't hesitate to stay their again.”

Stephan also went above and beyond in accepting our request for late checkout which made our stay even better! Location is brilliant (only about 3mins from the centre and restaurants). “Stayed for the night following a friend's birthday celebration. Warm welcome on check in and everything explained regarding breakfast and checking out. Beautiful large room for 2 of us to share, everything you could need to make a comfortable stay. Bathroom with a large walk in shower, looked fairly new and sparkling clean. Comfy beds and a fabulous breakfast in the morning. Perfectly poached eggs. The evening meal was lovely everyone was impressed with their choices and portion sizes were fabulous for the price. Staff were happy to add a candle to our friend's desert for us. Definitely would recommend and would stay again if in the area.”
