“Decent hotel, seems under rated at 3 stars? Friendly staff, beer & food was good too. Rooms nice. No toilet roll in ours and they don't offer breakfast but on the whole, a good experience. I would stay there again.”

“Massive thank you, we had our wedding reception here on Friday, staff were amazing and very attentive nothing too much trouble manager was great had everything in control went over and above to make things run smoothly, we choose a three course meal from the menu but gave it them days before to make things easier. We had 32 guests and everyone had chosen what they wanted food was perfect came out hot and together, perfect day and I will certainly recommend thank you”

“Brilliant food and drink - me and my partner had the sesame chicken strips, the Friday glaze burger, and the fudge cake to share along with a few cocktails. We were served by the wonderful Mel who was fairly quiet, but was extremely friendly and provided great service nonetheless. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming again in the future.”

“Great place to go if you are going to see someone or something at Sheffield Arena or any time. Great food only down side is cost of soft drinks £8 for 2 Pepsi Maxs is a bit pricey especially as they aren't refillable. But overall very good.”

“Some say rather disparagingly that its ONLY a Spoons - albeit a rather well run one! Well what's wrong with drinks half the price of many local bars & restaurants - not to mention their good hearty, great value food? The bar staff are brilliant: very friendly and almost 100% warm and welcoming. The pub has great character and is a typical well executed Spoons bank conversion. Fascinating historic photos of the area are displayed and the pub boasts three toilets including a downstairs disabled. There's also an outside patio drinking/smoking area which is great in the summer. For a city centre pub it is surprising there are so many regulars who come from miles around - so the "Bankers" must be doing something right! There's lots of banter filling the downstairs bar. I accept that downstairs can be quite boisterous at times (what do you expect in a cosmopolitan city centre pub!) but the upstairs mezzanine bar is much quieter with books, a fire and a view!”

“It's a fabulous Wetherspoons, in a historical old building. Spacious and welcoming, clean and well run. The food was good. On top of all that... It's actually on the tram stop platform, so you can get home without getting wet!”

“We had a really great experience here! Jeffrey was very polite, friendly, and attentive, he made sure we were comfortable the whole time. My family and I came from abroad, and we were pleasantly surprised by how warm and welcoming the staff were. The food was tasty, reasonably priced, and served well. Despite seeing some negative reviews, our visit was honestly excellent from start to finish. The service, food, and atmosphere all exceeded our expectations. Definitely deserving of a solid 5 stars!”

“Visited the drawbridge tonight for the first time in a few years, We were able to bring the dog too. Where do I start? The welcome was lovely like we are regulars. The food was great, we had a mixture of fish & chips, Tikka curry & salt & chilli dirty fries all cooked perfectly. Would highly recommended and will be coming back. Thank you Brad & Paul, just taken over in last couple of days (couldn’t add photos all the food was gone)”

“What a lovely welcome - nice warm pub with open fire. Fantastic on a Thursday evening when temperatures were below zero outside. Friendly staff and locals, nice selection of well kept beers and a fun quiz and numbers game. Great place for a night out.”

“Renoir's staff are brilliant, I had a "night" last night and asked for an alternative route to leave the building, there was zero hesitation and no fuss at all, staff escorted myself, my partner and our friend through the side door AWAY from the main entrance and were quick to make sure we were all okay so, shout out to the amazing staff for keeping your customers safe with a fast response and the ability to make us feel at ease!”

The Sunday roasts are especially worth mentioning, with perfectly cooked meats and crispy roast potatoes. Drinks are well kept, with a good choice of beers, wines, and spirits at fair prices. The pub itself is cosy and inviting, with a lovely outdoor area for warmer days. A great spot for families, friends, or a casual pint – highly recommended!”

“We've now visited the restaurant twice. On the first occasion I had the fish & chips and my fiancé had the mixed grill. The fish was fresh with crispy batter and was not greasy. The mixed grill was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was pleasant even though they were busy and the food arrived promptly. The staff were lovely. This inspired us to make a return visit to try the breakfast buffet. We were not disappointed. It was also remarkable value.”

“We had a lovely stay, our heating wasn’t working but the night porter instantly fetched us a plug in heater. Our room was clean and spacious but the highlight for us was the delicious cooked breakfast which was served to us by Cristina she was absolutely delightful, so cheerful and helpful on both days, we actually looked forward to seeing her the next day. She is an asset to your hotel. She made my children feel so special and has the most infectious smile and demeanour.”

“Visited here while camping in the area, I must say it was the best fish and chips I have had for a very long time!!! The large fish was, large and pure white,the batter was perfect and so was the peas, it will certainly be worth the trip out for this.”
