Best dining experience in Chesterfield

“A hidden little gem of a place ... We've driven past this place many a times on our way to town - not thinking much of it.. it's a shame we didn't try it sooner! Food: Fantastically tasty food, which was prompt and well presented. On the first visit, there was a substitute on my tagliatelle - but this is because it's all made fresh that day and we arrived one hour before closing. Tried a few different starters/sharing plates, both were beautiful and (as much as I know) tasted authentic. Each following visit has been equally beautiful food. Service: First time, we arrived an hour before closing (cause... Yolo and we were hungry) and they were still very welcoming and accommodating. We still weren't rushed to order out food, even with the time. Everyone was friendly, polite and helpful. On following visits, everyone has been beyond lovely on each visit ... Atmosphere: Decorated with little touches of Sicily - it has a nice ambience for the type of food and cuisine served. It can get a little loud, with the size of the room, but nothing to stop you visiting this beautiful little gem. Would definitely recommend and will continue to return.”

“Stopped in for a spur-of-the-moment afternoon tea on a day out to Chesterfield. Everything was delicious (especially the sugar-topped scones!) and we had plenty of space upstairs. It was the first afternoon tea for two of the people in our party and they both promised they would be returning for more!”

I had a meltdown as I didnt have any food I like in my house, as well as other restaurants not being able to deliver to my adress, and just by you delivering it with a smile, and wishing me a good night, that has brought me so much happiness. It’s alright if you got confused with the location at first, that service with a smile was amazing! The chicken strips were perfect, as well as the potato wedges: I luckily had room for the cookies! To sum up my experience: Have a good life, the amazing man whoever delivered my meal: You fed a hungry distraught child and brought them joy. Highly recommend eating here. “We stayed at the Ibis hotel and we ordered and collected the pizza from Domino's. While waiting for the pizza, I was impressed by the staff that worked on the Friday evening ( 1st December), as I rarely have seen such hard working people, they didn't seem to stop. They were taking orders, preparing the pizza, answering the calls, and working side by side. They were very friendly too. The pizza was tasty so I am giving it 5 stars for the hard work of the employees.”

“Excellent service from start to finish. Darrell was amazing with the design of our main bathroom but then blew us away with the en suite - the finished result of both bathrooms is stunning. Our fitter Mark - and his wife Vicky - were exceptional. The quality and standard were above expectations . They are the reason we went for the en suite so soon as we didn’t want anyone else to do the job given the high standard. I’m sure other fitters offer a great service but we didn’t want anyone else! Customer service throughout has been great. Highly recommend this company.”

“A great place with some lovely furniture and jewellery that is beautiful and unique, also some beautiful rugs .Huckleberry willow has been in Chesterfield since 1976 in the 1980s it was known as Wild Mountain Thyme before becoming Huckleberry willow again in the early 1990s”

“So tasty is a true credit to the community. They do sandwiches and breakfast rolls that are cooked to perfection. My favourite is the belly buster sandwich!! They also do a wide range of cakes, pasties and drinks & even Sunday dinners for collection or delivery. Lovely staff and always on hand to take orders for collection or delivery over the phone.”

“Such lovely staff serve up the food and drinks at Buttylicious. You can eat inside or sit outside using one of the new tables and benches available. Full cooked breakfasts are available, and vegetarian breakfasts are also advertised. However, the vegetarian option doesn't include vegetarian sausage or bacon. The breakfast consists of hash browns, egg, beans or tomatoes. There is a good range of hot & cold sandwiches available. I can definitely say that the chip buttys are really tasty. Excellent chips, best we have tasted for a long time. To top it all off, if you still have room, there is a really good range of cakes that taste as good as they look. Over the months, we have never been disappointed with them and have resorted to buying them to take home too...... Hope you all enjoy your food”

“We have just returned home from a lovely 2 night stay at Slate House Farm. We loved it. It’s well situated with plenty of pubs and restaurants locally. The pods are clean and have everything you need. A nice touch was the addition of marshmallows so we could toast them in the fire pit. The views are amazing and the owners couldn’t do enough whilst still not being intrusive. We will definitely be coming back”
