“Amazing two young women serving in store who were friendly & efficient, even though they had just been verbally abused by a rude, ignorant customer using the drive thru. They should not have to tolerate such behaviour from people like this.”

“Me and my partner are new to the area and recently tried out our local. Absolutely amazing, the food was fantastic. I had the 8oz steak (medium) and it was spot on. My partner had the mixed grill and again it was spot on. Very good portions at a very reasonable price. The staff where lovely. A great way to spend our year anniversary”

“Would like to say a massive thank you to Sam & Stuart and their family for hosting the best surprise party for a 30th birthday! All the buffet was proper homemade food and was fresh and so tasty (also has the best homemade scotch eggs & mini quiches ever!!)All the staff were amazing and worked so hard to accommodate us all. Bar service was quick even though there was a lot of people to get through! Sam and everyone made an amazing effort to make sure the night went exactly the way wanted even helping to put all the decorations up a couple of hours earlier. Couldn’t of wished for better hospitality, loved every minute so thank you so much guys! Would recommend to anyone wanting to book a party :)”

“9 of us met for lunch old work colleagues all ladies of a certain age. The staff were excellent. Friendly funny and very professional. All the meals came out together were hot and tasty. Puddings were good too. Would recommend Bold forester. Nate,Ian and Joe were brilliant as were all other staff.”

“Myself and my partner are in Nottinghamshire visiting family and are stay within walking distance of the pub. Nice quiet pub, with easy access. To the front is a small seating area, to enjoy a pint with friends. Inside has a eating area and a bar/games area. Very clean and friendly public house. We have 2 dogs and was welcomed by a friendly member of staff. The food was to a good standard. Prices of drinks where at a very good price. Well recommended a visit.Well done to all and thank you.”

“Stayed nearby in a Travelodge Sunday before travelling up to centre parcs Sherwood forest on the Monday. Thought we'd all pop in for a breakfast before leaving and glad we did. Food was excellent. Service was great and the atmosphere was one of the best I've experienced. Highly recommend”

“I booked the alpaca trekking for my mums birthday. We had lots of fun. It was well organised and our guide knew everything there was to know about alpacas. We stayed to have a look around the rest of the farm after. I definitely recommend as a family day out - whether it's just for a look around, or if you're booking one of the experience packs. There's play areas for the kids, plus a really cool bouncy castle/trampoline kind of area (if only I was still a child!), and a cafe to grab a drink/bite to eat. As others have pointed out, the car park could be better signed. Just to make it more obvious that the car park is specifically for willow tree farm, and not the seemingly abandoned school. Once parked, we didn't have any issues finding where to go. I would definitely go again!”

“When you walk into a pub and the food smells make you hungrier. You are onto a good thing! With a homely atmosphere, we felt welcomed with genuine friendly and helpful staff.
